Story
Cooper is a registered Border Collie. He was born March 15th, 2023. He comes from a long line of top level herding dogs from Miller Border Collies in Kentucky. (you can find them on the internet). The Miller family has breed and used working Border Collies for over fifty years. HIs parents were working dogs who competed across the country. Cooper is a healthy, happy dog. He loves to run and play. He especially loves to retrieve his frissbee and run an obstacle course he self created. He has a beautiful gate and loves running and jumping over things for fun. He loves his family and will be a lap dog if you let him. He is your constant companion, always interested in what you are doing. I have had Border Collies for nearly fifty years but sadly at age 76 and just after getting Cooper my health fell apart. Cancer, bad hip, back and knees, etc. plus my wife having major issues has caused us to no longer be able to give Cooper the life a great Border Collie needs and deserves.

Story
Lili is a beautiful, sweet girl. She's highly energetic and always wants to know what you're doing. We adopted Lili from our Humane Society about six weeks ago. She had little to no socialization with any other animals or children at that time, so we were unaware of how she would react to our cats. The best home for Lili would be one without feline friends. She handles other dogs well, she's just extremely curious. Small children are not her favorite, my five year old gets treated like a toy instead of a leader despite our attempts to build this relationship. Overall, Lili's ideal home is one without small children (8 and under) and cats. Her family needs to challenge her mind, devoting several hours a day to play and long walks. We will include her crate, all the food and treats we have, and her toys, harness, and leashes. We love her so much, but our cats are becoming ill from the stress of being chased constantly and not being able to leave the bedroom.

Story
Needing to rehome this guy. His name is Indy, 8yr old Border Collie/Pit mix. Only has 20% pit in him. Crate trained, house broken, needs updated shots, has separation anxiety. Loves to cuddle, and be with his humans, still very playful and lots of energy. Has lived with cats and has been boarded with other dogs. I have lost my job and my home. Had to move in with family, who wants Indy kept in a crate or small room at all times. This is not a life for him. I hope to find him a better home than what I can offer right now.

Story
Artie is a very loving, calm dog. She showed up at our farm one day, we tried to find her home but we unsuccessful. After taking her in I brought her to the vet to be spayed and her vaccinations. After she recovered I worked with her on manners, house training, and walking on a leash. Once she got used to the training I took her out to Lowe’s to get her used to being in public as she is fairly timid. She gets along well with my dogs but needs her own home. She deserves a loving home.

Story
LENNOX is a female, 16-month-old Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix. She is very outgoing, social, and, true to her breed, needs a job. Like many in the herding category, she has a solid work ethic and needs something to focus on - and it doesn't need to be livestock. She would a fun companion to take to obedience or agility training. You could help her excel and be the smartest one in the class just because that's her goal. She is already crate, leash and house trained. She needs an active home so there's something to keep her busy. An outdoor family would be great. She loves kids (older so if she decides to "herd" it wont be taken the wrong way) She is in a great foster home and has been properly introduced to another dog so with the "right" other dog, she'll be fine. As a matter of fact she enjoys his company! (he is a young, large breed very laid back male) As far as her perfect human companion, she needs the structure and discipline of an owner who can set boundries. She is a NO cat dog. She's a great size at 38 lbs. If interested in adopting Lennox, our process begins with submission of OUR online application which can be found at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com. Additional adoption FAQ's can also be found there. Meets will be set with approved applicants. Thank you!

Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
APOLLO is a 43 lb Cattle Dog mix who was found as a stray by our volunteer, He was returned to his owner and then surrendered back to us because the owner realized the best thing for the dog was to find a better home. So, that's how we got this handsome boy. He is a 5-year-old male, and he's a great dog! Because we don't know a lot about his background, he participated in our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program. He already has a nice energy level and walks well on a leash but a little obedience training goes along way. He graduated with honors and certainly enjoyed the 24/7 companionship of his inmate handler. Apollo's best home will be with an owner who has time to spend with him and enjoys walking. Apollo is fine with other dogs - but only at a distance. He's the kind of dog that will only share space with his human. He's incredibly loyal. If interested in adopting, our process begins with submission of OUR online application which can be found at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com. Additional adoption FAQ's can be found on the website also. Meets will be set with approved applicants. Thank you!
