Story
Skye (female) and Sam (male). Take a peek at these blond beauties!!! They have the sweetest eyes and pretty pick piggy noses. These two are just a bundle of bouncing happiness. They are learning what it is like to be cuddled and think they like it so far. They just got into their foster home located in Memphis, Tennessee and were a little shy to begin with but that is getting less and less daily (practically hourly). They love to romp and play with each other and are very curious about the adult dogs in the home. These two are catching on to the good life fast and seem to be quick learners. Once adopted they will travel via Rescue Vet Transport to their new family. They travel each and every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make either one of these cuties part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Taffy and Tilly are loving life right now not much to do other than eat, play, sleep, repeat. They frolic until pooped then snuggle down for a nice long nap. They both have the sweetest dispositions. They are in a foster home in Memphis , Tn with other foster doggies and lots of comings and goings so very well adjusted to noises like vacuum cleaners, barking dogs, washing machines and general daily chaos . Once adopted, they will travel to the northeast via Rescue Vet Transport. (additional cost of $185). They leave Memphis, Tennessee each weekend, Friday mornings, usually around 6 AM and make transport stops along the route all the way up to West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Story
Friendly Finn is a lucky dog.  You know one of those who was in a really bad shelter that was run by lazy people who didn’t care if any of the dogs got out alive.  He is a handsome and very friendly Border Collie/Pointer mix that is truly a good looking dog who is about 3 years old, fully vetted, 35 pounds and was at the shelter for 2 years.  TRUTH!   How awful that this beautiful soul was there in that dirty place and in the tiny kennel run with another dog. He wasn’t fed much and he is lucky to have survived the torture of that specific shelter.   Friendly is a good word for Finn since he is good with other dogs and kids unknown.  He is surprisingly very good on a leash, but his nerves can get the best of him when riding in a car.  He might need a little medication till he gets used to riding.  Finn needs a big yard or maybe daily trips to a dog park.  We want him to live a life that is not limited as he has experienced these past 2+ years in the shelter.  If you are interested in Fostering or Adopting Finn please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 26, 2024, 2:09 pm

Story
Meet Felix! This beautiful boy will be 2yrs old on Sept 10th. I adopted him from a bad situation, where he was being abused. The only reason I am looking to rehome him, is he does not get along with cats and displays a high prey drive. Felix does show signs of abuse, such as cowering when being approached by strangers. He can be extremely nervous and timid at first, but warms up to you quickly. He has never shown any aggression towards people. In my experience, he does well with dogs that are calm and less vocal. He does bark when approaching other dogs. After meeting a dog once, the next time is much less dramatic. He has developed a bond with several neighborhood dogs and gets excited to see them. He is super highl energy and does need plenty of physical and mental stimulation. He enjoys walks, hikes and playing fetch w/the tennis ball! I highly recommend a fenced in yard. Felix is very loving and eager to please. He will be a perfect addition, to the right family!

Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13401My name is Jacob and I am guessed to be a 1 year old Border Collie/Lab mix and currently weigh about 65 pounds. Here are some things my foster family has learned about me:- I am a sweet boy who needs time to adjust to new places and people.- Once I know I can trust you, I am a happy loving boy. I am also a "hugger" and greet foster mom with big hugs when I haven't seen her for a while. She says we are going to work on "four on the floor"- I like getting praise, pets and belly rubs from people I know well.- I am very curious and enjoy slowly exploring my foster home and yard (Click here, here, here, here and here to see me in foster care!- When I first arrived, I would retreat to the safety of my crate. Now that I have settled in, I prefer being around my foster family and playing with my furry foster sibling. - I enjoy the company of other dogs. Although I can get overexcited playing with my furry foster sibling, I listen when told to settle down.- I am a smart boy who is eager to please. I know "sit", "come" and "leave it". I am treat motivated and will gently take treats from your hand. Beware, though, I have learned to open lever handled doors and won't hesitate to let myself outside to play.- I love being off leash in a fenced in yard. It takes time for me to trust people enough for them to walk me on a leash. Now that I know my foster family well, I enjoy going for long walks around the neighborhood and do well on a leash. I especially enjoy going for hikes in the woods! I may sit and watch as groups of strangers go by, but then happily continue on my way. I would do best in a quiet neighborhood or area and need a home with a fenced in yard so that I can get comfortable with my new people before needing to walk on a leash.- I have definitely learned the joy of toys. I can entertain myself with chew toys or dissecting squeakers out of plush toys. I like to run outside with my toys, where so I can toss them into the air and pounce after them. I haven't quite figured out fetch, but foster mom says that's OK.- When foster mom is working at her desk, I quietly nap nearby or entertain myself with chew toys. - At night I can either go into my crate with treats or hang out on the sofa and sleep quietly until morning.- I have been doing a great job going potty outside. I am looking for a loving home where I can continue to gain confidence and thrive. I am looking for someone who is patient and understands that I need time to learn to trust them before showing my happy playful side. If that's you, apply today.

Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13726Hi! My name is Kendall and I arrived to OPH on 7/12/24. I’m guessed to be a Border Collie mixed breed dog approximately 11-month-old gal and weighing about 35 lbs. Here are a few things foster mom has learned about me:- I am very sweet and LOVE people. I charm everyone I meet, melting into them for pets and loving!- I have a lot of curiosity. If you open a drawer or closet I am right there to check it out with you and help you find what you are looking for.- I am a happy fun loving girl who is always up for adventure. I love exploring the yard and playing with my doggie foster sibling. Click here and here to see me with my foster sibling.- Toys are awesome. I have never had so many toys and I like them all. I am learning fetch, but haven't quite figured it out yet. Click here and here to see me learning to play with toys.- When foster mom is working, I can entertain myself or settle down for a long nap.- I am a smart girl who loves treats. I have already learned "sit". I am working on not counter surfing, but it's so tempting as I really want to see what is going on up there.- I enjoy going for walks around the neighborhood. Walks are like a treasure hunt to find new people to meeting. If there is someone in your neighborhood you haven't met yet I can definitely help with that. No one can resist my happy body wiggles and tail wags. Foster mom says I am doing well on a leash too. I have been learning words like "sidewalk" and "cross"(for crossing the street) and "leave it" - when I see a rabbit or find something interesting on the ground. Click here to see on a hike.- I sleep quietly all night in my crate and patiently wait until for foster mom to let me out for the morning.- During the day, I like to play outside or go for a walk and then take a nice nap on my doggie bed.- I am doing an awesome job going potty outside. Although I had an accident in my crate initially, I now tell foster mom when I need to go outside.I am looking for my forever home! Is that with you? Apply to adopt me today!

Story
We rescued Max from a horse show this past winter. He gets along great with our cat and older Labradors (after they established a relationship). My husband was diagnosed with stage 3 mouth cancer in April and is going through radiation treatments now. We have not been able to give Max the active and stimulating household he deserves since then. This was never our plan and he is truly loved. We feel what is best for him is land to run and owners that have time to exercise with him daily. He gets along great with our kids 5 and 2.
