Stormy-Border Collie/Lab Female, Tripod, DOB 2-7-24 (Dec. 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application Stormy was taken in by a Trainer, looking to help dogs into a Service Dog program through Prisons. Stormy fit the criteria and has been training for a while now. Stormy does have one back leg missing...loss when hit by a car when younger. The Trainer said being a tripod does not slow Stormy down. She has the typical energy and ability of the Border Collie genetics. Stormy has a great personality and lives with her Inmate Trainer and many other dogs in the program, doing great with everyone. She has Obedience/Husbandry skills/ Grooming skills & rides well in a car. Stormy is 54.2 lbs (Medium size dog). She has not lived with cats, no opportunity in the Prison, but will be tested when she comes into foster care. Children are an unknown, too. Stormy's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application,please email rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application.

Rockstar Ms. Riley Ray didn’t get her name by accident — she earned it with heart, resilience, and a spirit that refuses to fade. This stunning 8-year-old purebred Border Collie has lived a life that didn’t quite match the energy she was born with. Adopted as a puppy by a loving older couple, Riley grew up surrounded by affection but very little structure. Long days indoors, extra bites of fast food and table scraps, and almost no exercise slowly took a toll. By the time her elderly parents entered nursing care, Riley had reached an unhealthy 81 pounds — a heavy weight for a dog meant to run free. Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in and promised Riley and the family that her story wouldn’t end there. Since arriving, she has begun her comeback tour. Beneath the extra pounds is the bright, athletic, ball-obsessed girl she was always meant to be. Riley lives for fetch. The moment a ball appears, her eyes light up and her whole body comes alive. It’s as if she’s saying, “This is who I really am.” She is affectionate, loyal, incredibly smart, and still has so much joy and drive left to give. Riley is searching for an active home that understands Border Collies and will help her continue her health journey. She doesn’t want to sit on the sidelines anymore — she wants to run, chase, play, and finally live the life her breed was built for. Her past may have slowed her down, but it never dimmed her spark. Lina is a 7 month old Border Collie mix who weighs around 20 lbs. She has a very sporty build and is all puppy still! She is very bouncy, probably part rabbit if we had to guess.
