You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- FRED IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR AN INDIVIDUAL ASKING TO REHOME THEIR PET.  PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW. Please contact:  Lara208-629-9768 hannonlara@gmail.com Energy level: Moderate — playful outside, calm indoors   1. Overview & Core TemperamentFred is a sensitive, sweet, emotionally intuitive herding-breed mix who forms deep, meaningful bonds with the people he trusts. Once he feels safe, he becomes affectionate, playful, gentle, has a quirky smile, connected, and eager to be near his person. He settles well in the home, often resting at your feet or choosing a comfortable nearby spot. He likes being close but is not clingy; he simply enjoys companionship from a place of safety.Fred thrives with calm, predictable handling, gentle voices, and slow movements that give him space to build trust at his own pace. 2. Sensitivity & Emotional NeedsFred is highly sensitive and easily overwhelmed by unfamiliar people, sudden movement into hisspace, loud or chaotic environments, and unpredictability. He needs slow introductions, time to observe, soft tones, gentle body language, consistent routines, and a peaceful, stable environment. With these supports, he warms up beautifully and becomes affectionate, expressive, and securely attached. 3. Fear-Based BehaviorsFred has fear-based reactivity with new people, not true aggression. When overwhelmed, he maygrowl or snap if he feels cornered or pressured. With proper introductions and calm interactions, these behaviors reduce significantly or disappear. 4. Separation & Isolation AnxietyFred has separation and isolation anxiety. When left alone, he may pace, bark, whine, pantexcessively, drool excessively, become restless, or struggle to settle. Despite this distress, he has never been destructive and does not soil indoors. He needs gradual alone-time training, consistency, predictability, a low-stress environment, andpossibly a calm dog companion. 5. Behavior with Other DogsFred plays well with other dogs, adjusts his energy appropriately, relaxes around calm dogs, gainsconfidence from a steady canine companion, and checks in frequently with his person. On leash, he may show mild reactivity to other dogs on leash at close ranges but redirects well.Off leash he is appropriate, social, playful, and not aggressive.6. Outdoor Behavior & WalksFred is an excellent walking companion with good leash manners and strong impulse control. Hecalmly observes deer and responds immediately to cues.7. Indoor BehaviorIndoors, Fred is calm, quiet, and relaxed. He settles easily and is not clingy or demanding. He is aneasy, gentle house companion.8. Strengths• affectionate once bonded• gentle with treats• good with dogs• responsive to cues• house-trained• calm in the car• playful outdoors, mellow indoors• emotionally attuned• intelligent and sensitive• checks in often• settles beautifully after exercise9. ChallengesFred’s challenges include fear-based reactivity, separation anxiety, environmental sensitivity, and need for slow introductions.10. Ideal HomeFred thrives with someone experienced, patient, and consistent, who can support gradual alone-time training and provide a stable environment. 11. Why Fred Is Worth ItFred is loving, sensitive, intelligent, and deeply loyal when he feels safe. He shows immense heart and tries hard to do well. Please contact:  Lara208-629-9768 hannonlara@gmail.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 16, 2026, 8:28 pm

Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant. Will and his sister were rescued as strays from an area where people don’t always take great care of their pets. When they first came into rescue, both of them were pretty shy and got stressed out easily by new places, car rides, or being away from their people. Once Will bonds with you, he turns into a total Velcro dog—he wants to be right by your side and will follow you from room to room. His separation anxiety has gotten a lot better, but he’d do best in a home where someone’s around most of the day. As long as he gets enough exercise and plenty of love every day, he’s chill—no excessive barking, no chewing up furniture. He’s never shown any aggression at all. Will’s an active boy who loves his daily walks. He’d be happiest in a home with a securely fenced yard so he can run around and play. One of his favorite things is zooming around the yard with a ball in his mouth, looking super happy. He really likes other dogs, though super dominant ones can make him a little nervous at first. With time and good experiences, he’s getting more confident around them. In his foster home, he’s living totally peacefully with a cat. Right now, RORR is working with a pro dog trainer to help Will build confidence when he’s in new situations. He’s super smart and picks things up fast—he’s already nailed house training, crate training, and basic commands. He can still feel a bit anxious around new people, dogs, or places, but he’s making steady progress. With patient handling and positive experiences, he just keeps getting braver. Will would thrive with someone who’s had experience with his breed and has the patience to keep helping him gain confidence by slowly introducing new things. Sticking with a professional trainer would keep him moving forward. For the right person, this smart, gentle boy will be the most loyal, loving shadow you could ask for.     If you are interested in Will, please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 23, 2026, 9:10 pm

Story
If interested in Sam, apply here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CPAR/Dog At 9 months old and 34 lbs, Sam is an adorable fluffy Sato with a happy spirit and a playful personality that makes him impossible not to love. A Sato is a Puerto Rican street dog, known for being resilient, intelligent, and incredibly loyal companions. Sam was found all alone on the streets of Puerto Rico, but even then he was the happiest little puppy, always wagging his tail and ready to make friends. Despite his rough start, he has held onto his joyful, optimistic personality and brings that same energy everywhere he goes. He has a beautiful fluffy coat, expressive eyes, and a fun loving personality. Sam can initially be a little shy in new situations, but he warms up quickly and soon shows off his sweet, goofy side. He loves toys, enjoys staying active, and is always ready for playtime or an adventure. Sam does great with kids and other dogs and would love a family that enjoys an active companion. He is crate trained and currently working on leash and potty training. We suspect there may be some Border Collie in him because he loves trying to gently herd his humans while out on walks, which only adds to his charm and personality. Sam is looking for a loving family ready to continue helping him learn and thrive while giving him the happy life he deserves. Sam is being fostered in Stoney Beach, MD. PLEASE READ: Any dog that is house or potty trained will still need patience in a new home with new people and a new schedule. Please be ready to train ANY dog you adopt! Also, please understand we can not guarantee breed or full grown size of any young dog or puppy. Thank you for understanding.

"She ran calling "WILD.....FIRE"!! That is a haunting song.... I promise, though..I am not a HAUNTER!! But I may love to run around and around and AROUND :) I am a puppy! I am so sweet and cuddly, when i finish running around ;) I have plenty of energy so you HAVE to be ready to burn it off with mental and physical exercise. I am SMART too! Teach me who you want me to be and I will learn! I was found with 4 siblings living (dumped) at the Home Depot...but it was a LUCKY BREAK, cause we were seen by the husband of a rescuer and we got SAVED! Now I am in my foster home and learning the "ropes" ;) Potty training is getting better every day, I mean our foster mom takes us out often for potty control and I am really working hard to wait for the next jaunt outside! I also am crate training too! I don't like to pee or poop where I sleep- as long as I don't eat right before bed and go outside as soon as I wake up I am doing great!! I seriously am ready for my family, I LOVE to play and am great with all dogs big, small, old or babies. AND i have one half BLUE EYE!! The better to see you with, my new family! :) ADOPT ME SOON!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Wiley! Wiley is an approximately 1.5 year old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix (best guess) with a happy personality and a very smart mind. He is an active boy who is always ready for his next adventure and would thrive with a family that understands the needs of intelligent working breeds. Wiley is high energy and will need a breed knowledgeable owner committed to continuing his training and providing both mental and physical stimulation. He is eager to learn and already does pretty well on a leash. With consistency and structure, Wiley has the potential to become an incredible companion. He would do best with an active family that enjoys walks, outdoor activities, training, and keeping their dogs engaged. Wiley is the kind of dog who wants to be involved in life right alongside his people. Wiley is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions. $200 Local Adoption Fee (Texas) $450 Out of State Fee (includes transport to your area)
