APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. (Shayne's Rescue is an affiliate with PetCentralSATX). If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. Whitney a possibly a Border Collie mixed with Red Heeler. DOB 2/1/26; currently about 30# and will probably get to be 45-50#s, best guess. She is the most adorable puppy EVER! She is enthusiastic & confident; curious & playful; and very smart. She has almost mastered walking on a leash and she is good in her crate. She loves car rides. She is mostly quiet in the kennel, except when she needs to do her business! She loves people and dogs of All sizes and ages. Because she is young, we don’t recommend very young children be around her. In her puppy playfulness, she would probably knock the little ones down. Curious, interested in cats but not aggressive. Loves treats so she will be easy to train. She plays with the rope toy or stick with you, but she does not return it yet. She definitely acts goofy when she plays but also loves to snuggle in your lap. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You will receive the dog's folder with all the printouts proving the medical treatments received. Adoption Fee: Includes all of the vetting and transportation. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you will have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Adopt Lucky! Meet Your New Best Friend Hi there, human friends! My name is Lucky, and I’m a handsome 6-year-old Border Collie mix looking for the person who will feel just as lucky to find me! At about 60 pounds, I’m past the messy puppy stage but still have plenty of classic Border Collie brains, energy, and personality. I’m easy to recognize by my sleek black coat, bright white socks, and the fancy white splash on my chest. Basically, I’m always dressed for a special occasion. I’m a social, affectionate guy who loves being part of the action. Adventures? Yes, please. Learning new tricks? Absolutely. Couch time after a busy day? I thought you’d never ask. I can get a little mouthy when I’m excited so I’d do best in an adult home or one without young children. I’m also selective about my dog friends. Some dogs get the tail-wagging seal of approval, while others don’t quite make the cut, so any potential canine sibling would need a thoughtful introduction. I may decide that being your one-and-only is the perfect arrangement—and honestly, I’m confident I can provide more than enough personality for one household. The Quick Details Personality: Sweet, smart, social, active, and full of character Children: Best suited for an adult home or one without young kids Dog Friends: Selective; may do well with the right match after a careful introduction Health: Neutered and have all of my core vaccines Come meet me and see whether Lucky might just be your lucky charm! ##2762432##

Story
Rocky was rescued on his D-Day from a shelter. He and his housemate sister Grace (also listed) were showing too much stress and anxiety in the shelter, therefore set to be euthanized. Rocky arrived to his foster home with obvious malnutrition and upper respiratory infection. It took a little bit for him to warm up to people helping him, but then he became a very happy tailwagging boy! Good nutrition started and infection was treated and then he was neutered… which he did not find amusing at all. He and his little sister Grace race all around the yard and wrestle and play and romp. They take treats nicely and are getting potty trained and leash trained. Rocky had never had a bath when he arrived and he absolutely loves them, even lounging in the tub! He’s a very happy boy with a big smile and a happy tail. He will be 50 to 60 pounds when he is finally filled out completely. He is a sweet boy who does well on his Vet Clinic visits, but requires some time to warm up to people visiting the house. They need to earn his trust before he will approach them. Rocky needs a fenced yard and a home that will give him an active lifestyle. He rides good in the car and is not bothered by storms. contact irondawgs13@gmail.com for adoption application

Story
Nina. What can we say? There is almost nothing that is not wonderful about Nina. She is the ultimate easy and loving dog. Nina is very affectionate, yet not all over you the whole time. She loves to be near us and to receive kisses and affection, yet she is fine just lying near us or even out in the garden soaking in the sun. She has obviously lived with a family before because she is complete house trained and used to living in a home. She is probably about 4 years old, spayed and fully vaccinated. She is fine with other dogs and all people. But it is hard to put into words what a terrific dog she is: she wait patiently for her treats and accepts them gently and gratefully. She is always happy when we come home, but doesn’t overwhelm us or jump on us. She likes going on walks but is happy hanging at home with us. We really can’t say enough good things about her. Follow us on Instagram (tamarabelden) or email us (tamarabelden@gmail.com) if you are interested in meeting her. She is a special one!

🐾 Looking for a Loving Home for Jax 🐾With a heavy heart, we are looking to rehome our 3-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Pit Bull mix, Jax.Jax is a loving and energetic dog who is great with children and other dogs. We are unsure how he does with cats. This decision is incredibly difficult, and Jax has done nothing wrong. Our family has a 1-year-old daughter, and my wife is currently battling cancer. With everything going on, we simply don’t have the time to give Jax the attention, exercise, and care he deserves. We love Jax very much and want to find him a home where he can receive the time, love, stimulation, and companionship he deserves. We are looking for a responsible, loving family who will treat him as part of their family and give him a forever home.We are going to be very careful about who Jax goes home with. Please message me if you or someone you know may be the right fit for Jax. ❤️🐾

Story
ADOPT ACOYEE! Acoyee is a mature and wise man. At 8 years of age, he's technically a senior who knows a thing or two about life, but still got the spunk in his steps! This 65lbs happy pup is affectionate and loves his scratches. He turns and leans into your body to show and receive the love he craves. His foster described him as a super chill pup who is content to nap while you're doing stuff around the house. He is a great walker and loves to go on walks, but he is a bit reactive on the leash to other dogs and wildlife. He is perfectly potty trained, not a fan of the crate, and LOVES to learn new tricks. He knows the basics like sit, paw and speak. And he also knows some advanced things like going to fetch his leash when it's time for a walk! He loves to pull toys for a good game of tug of war. Stuffed toys won't last very long with him, he likes to tear them apart. The cattle dog in him is FIERCELY loyal. Like most cattle dogs, he certainly has a good amount of stranger danger. But once you take some time to earn his trust and you're in his circle of trust, he will be your best friend for life. He will do best in a quiet home in a quiet area without a lot of comings and goings, with a fenced in yard, and without another dog. If you live in DC/MD/NoVa and wish to ask Acoyee to join your family, please fill out an application for him on our website to begin the process: https://forms.gle/GYHWGHiHCbxqZJae6
