Story
Hi! I'm Anabelle. I'm a 9 year old Border Collie Black Lab mix. She is a gentle and loving dog who likes to be around people. Anabelle loves to go on walks and be outside. She is afraid of storms and the sound of shooting guns and will want to be inside if either of those occur. She is great with kids and people and when properly and slowly introduced to dogs she is fine. She is looking for a loving home where she can get the attention she deserves! This pet is microchipped, spayed/neutered & up to date on vaccinations. The adoption fee is $250. If you are interested in learning more, please e-mail adoptions.protectingpaws@gmail.com

Story
We adopted Sasha from the Humane Society in Golden Valley, Minnesota. Sasha's an amazing dog. She's about 50 lbs., seven years old, and very energetic. She's got the goofiest smile and you never see her sad. She's great with kids and adults and she does not bark. She's house trained and loves to exercise. We are looking for a home that can provide the type of stimulation and exercise that she deserves. We're not looking to do this very quickly because we want to find a home that treats her well.Since we adopted her when she was two, we don't know her full history but based on some behaviors she shows to other dogs, it does seem like she was mistreated before. She does not do well with other dogs and can be the only pet in the house.

Story
Hello! My name is Tommy! I am about 1.5 years old. I look like I could be a border collie staffy mix, but I’m not 100% sure what breeds are in my doggie family tree. What I can tell you: I’m a perfect medium sized guy with a massive zest for life! I give every activity 110% Walks? Love them! Zoomies in the yard? Yes please! Food, YAS! Cuddles- here I come!!!! I currently live with 3 dogs and I’ve lived well with cats. I get along with all types of dogs, I really love to play and romp around with canine friends. I walk well on a leash, I am crate trained, and now, with my new structure and I am potty trained too! My foster mom is so happy with how easy I am to train, I really just want to make my humans happy. I am a bit of a ladies man and I love all kids! Sometimes it takes me just a little bit to warm up to some men, but treats helps me know he is ok. My ideal home will be with someone who is willing to continue and likes training - I promise I make it fun because I like to learn and work. I also thrive with structure and will make a perfect running or hiking buddy. And after a fun day, I am ready to snuggle and watch sports or Hallmark! I am a very sweet boy is loves life and is excited to be your new bestie! Come meet me and you will love me! If you would like to meet Tommy, please visit spotslaststop.org and fill out an application.

Story
Cotton’s time has been beautifully spent. He’s learned to safely navigate a world that he can’t fully see or hear. He’s earned the nickname ‘Fake blind dog’ for his incredible ability to overcome the challenges and obstacles that he was born with, lived through and now has conquered. He moves with the absolute swiftness of a skilled herding dog. He is every bit as confident and agile as his canine counterparts.Beyond his improved physical abilities, Cotton has continued to make strides in his dog to dog relationships. It’s difficult in the canine world for Aussies that can see and hear. Their intense nature, quick movements, desire to herd, and demand for order can often be misunderstood by other dogs. When the ability to quickly read another dog is diminished by lack of vision or hearing or both- it can easily result in reactivity. Cotton has used his time here to learn to read cues his way. He’s learned to trust and play. He’s mastered fun and that should always be a priority. He’s also learning who to avoid, how to exit gracefully and that the humans do have his back. Cotton has embraced the life he’s living. He has worked so hard to be good and do good. He has more than earned his place in this pack, this home, this organization, this community and this world. He still needs a home of his own. This place he lives is wonderful but it’s not his wonderful. It’s a resting spot. A wayside stop. A layover. Cotton needs people that wake up every day happy and excited that he is there. A home that grabs him an extra treat when they are out. A grandma that extra spoils him. A kid that cannot wait to get off that bus to play with him. A bed that is just his. A family.Cotton has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on his vaccinations. He has tested negative for heartworm disease. His adoption fee is $350.00 plus sales tax. Please submit an adoption application if you would like to meet this beautiful boy.
