Story
A Smart, Loyal 6-Year-Old Border Collie Mix Ready for a Quiet, Adult-Only HomeAbout me: Archie is a handsome, 6-year-old, 55lb Border Collie and Dachshund mix who is the perfect blend of brains and affection. At 6 years old, he has completely outgrown the hectic puppy phase. He is an incredibly loyal companion, a quick learner, and thrives on a predictable daily routine.House Manners: He is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and knows his basic manners. He loves having his own designated safe spaces to relax and nap.Low-Maintenance Companion: He is content to relax in his designated safe spaces when you are busy. He is happy with plenty of nap time.My Ideal Home: Because Archie is a sensitive soul who values his personal space and thrives in a predictable environment, he is looking for a strict CHILD FREE, adult-only home. He is highly uncomfortable around the loud noises and fast movements of children, and will actively avoid them

This pup is eligible for our Test the Couch program — a 7-day trial adoption to see if your home (and your couch) is the perfect fit. Learn more  https://pipsrescue.org/test-the-couch/ Meet Jolene: The Main Character. Always. At just 36 pounds, Jolene is compact enough to fit in your car, your lap, and your heart—but not your social calendar if it includes other dogs. She’s not here for pack life. She’s here to be your one and only, your ride-or-die, your queen bee. Other dogs? Hard pass. Jolene wants the spotlight, and honestly, she deserves it. She’s currently boarding with a trainer and crushing it—learning the ropes, snuggling her stuffies, and plotting world domination (or at least domination of your couch). She has energy for days, so if your lifestyle is more “let’s hike this trail” and less “let’s binge-watch eight seasons of a show without moving,” she’s your girl. Jolene is accepting applications for: Humans who enjoy brisk walks, stuffed toy destruction, and unwavering loyalty. Households with no other pets (her words, not ours: “I will not be sharing my throne.”) Anyone who has ever looked at a dog and thought, “you might just be a tiny, unbothered celebrity.” Think you’re the chosen one? Apply to foster or adopt at pipsrescue.org. Just don’t bring any other dogs with you. Jolene will see them. She will judge.  $100 of her adoption fee is being sponsored by Ricci Law Firm Injury Lawyers, so her adoption fee is $225  ##1611630##

Story
(DOB 03/05/2025) Meet Snow.  She is a high-octane bundle of joy wrapped in a sleek, athletic Border Collie mix body. If you’re looking for a dog who will greet you like you’re the best thing that’s ever happened—every single time—Snow is your girl. She’s ALWAYS excited to see her people, and her signature move? Launching herself impressively high into the air just to say hello. It’s equal parts hilarious and heart-melting. Underneath all that energy is a total lovebug. Snow lives for attention and belly rubs, and once she’s had her zoomies, she’ll happily melt at your feet to soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. True to her breed mix, Snow is incredibly smart, agile, and eager to work. She’d make an amazing running partner and would absolutely thrive in a home interested in exploring dog sports—especially agility, where she can put her athleticism and quick mind to good use. Snow is dog-friendly and enjoys canine companions, but she does have a healthy prey drive, so she’s looking for a home without cats or small critters. She’s crate trained and does well with house training when kept on a consistent routine. Because of her enthusiastic jumping style, Snow would do best in a home with older kids. She’ll also need an outlet for her energy—either a home with a tall fenced yard or a committed plan for regular doggie daycare or structured exercise. If you’re active, adventurous, and looking for a loyal sidekick who will keep life fun, fast-paced, and full of love, Snow is ready to leap right into your heart (and probably a little into your personal space, too!). As part of Snow’s $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Snow, you can complete an application online for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2710837##

Story
Greetings world. My name is Luna. I am a happy and energetic young girl of about 2 years old. I am looking for a family of my very own. Let me tell you a little bit about myself and see if you think we might be a match. I am a petite girl. My foster mom thinks that I am a mix. Best guesses are Belgian Tervuren mix. I have a beautiful gray face with fluffy ears, and I have wavy blonde and brown fur on my body. I am currently 55 pounds So a perfect size for someone wanting a more compact companion! My foster mom says that I am super super smart! I think that's a compliment! I am a very intelligent, alert, energetic, loyal and sensitive dog and I bond very quickly with my person. I am very fast, very athletic, and very focused. Foster mom says I need a job! (Ideally agility or scent work to engage my mind and body). When we are out in the yard I will run around and then I will run up and either do a leap by my foster mom or I will come to a sliding stop and just look at her for direction. I am extremely food motivated and will sell my soul or do any trick you want to try to teach me for some treats. I take treats gently which is a good thing. I love to play ball and I love to just engage with my foster mom. I will sit on command and stare intently waiting for further direction. I also know how to give the paw! I sometimes utilize this skill to try to encourage my foster mom to give me an extra treat from her a little snack bag that she carries around. I have several furry foster siblings that I get to interact with and play with. I love a good game of chase (I am super fast and I can dodge and weave with the best and I can also utilize my leapfrog skills. If someone trips in front of me I just go vertical and hurdle right over them). I'm also up for the little rough and tumble play as a few of my housemates like to play tag/tackle as well. It's all good. I am perfectly happy with that. I do have considerable prey drive so I will need a home with a dog at least my size or bigger. No small dogs. No felines. (Foster mom is unsure on fish; they move around quickly. They might also get my attention). I also need a home without chickens. There are currently chickens at my foster home and I am trying my best to parkour off the fence to see if I can get it to give. I would love a home with an individual or a couple that would like to work with me on agility or some other sport where I could demonstrate my superior skill sets. I am so eager to learn and I am so athletic. What do you expect when you have a working line dog/herding dog combination? I would also love someone who just wants to run! I have tons of energy and I would love to be a jogging partner! I require an adult only home, or with children over 15 years of age. I am a super excited dog and I can get a little nippy. It's just an energy outlet but my foster mom says that it's not a good combination to have around young children. Well I've tried to describe a lot of my personality traits and hopefully I have peaked your interest if you're looking for a fun loving devoted friend. Please come and meet me soon. Best wishes, Luna When I get videos you will find them HERE! Please visit our website www.gsdrescue.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.
