Story
Hi there! My name is Daisy. I`m a little independent, a little lovey-dovey, and a lot sweet! I like to play ball, run a little, and i just love stuffed toys. I carry one with me outside sometimes! I`m a Border Collie, so I`m a smart lady, but I`m still personable. I`d be a great hiking buddy! I was fine when I met other dogs here at Heartland, but I preferred to do my own thing. If you have any dogs at home, I`d like to meet them before adoption. My adoption fee is $225 and Benton county adopters have an additional $10 licensing fee.

Adoption Fee: $50Weight: 61lbsArrival Date: 12/7/24Microchip #: 977200010650922Meet Millie – an incredibly smart and sometimes too clever dog looking for her forever home! This beautiful girl came to us with her litter of puppies, all named after characters from Wicked. Now, with all her puppies finding their forever homes, Millie is eagerly waiting for hers!Millie is a sweet and affectionate dog, but she’s also full of energy and needs a job to keep her mind and body busy. While we make sure she gets out to Play Group every day, her energy often builds up. When she’s done playing, she’s so clever that she uses the chain-link fence like a ladder to let herself out! Unfortunately, because of this, we can’t leave her unattended in a yard, so she isn’t able to burn off as much energy as she needs. She does great with other dogs in Play Group, but when walking past other dogs behind fences, she can get frustrated due to the lack of space to exercise. This frustration has led to some barrier reactivity, but she’s calm and happy once she’s in the yard playing freely.Millie is an incredibly sweet girl who would thrive in a home that can provide her with plenty of exercise, stimulation, and mental challenges. We have also been working with Millie on walking on long lines, keeping her attention on her handler, and using food puzzles to keep her mind working. If you’re looking for a bright and energetic companion, she might just be the perfect fit! While Millie continues her search for her forever home, we would love to place her in a foster home where she can receive the positive reinforcement training she needs. If you’re interested in fostering, please reach out to us at fostercare@safehavenhumane.com.Note: We recommend that potential fosters or adopters have experience with Malinois or similar breeds, as Millie’s intelligence and energy are traits typical of this breed.

Story
Meet Kage, the ultimate good boy who's just so darn cute! This gentleman is a pro at house living, fully potty trained, and a master at walking on a leash and harness. He's a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs and loving those backyard playdates with his pals. Kage is a stunning mix of Lab and Border Collie, the perfect blend of intelligence and family-friendliness. He's just the right size, like a mini Lab or a slightly larger Border Collie. When you find two fantastic things that go together like peanut butter and jelly, you celebrate! Kage is that winning combo, and now you can celebrate by making him a cherished member of your family. His temperament is pure gold - sweet as honey with everyone he meets. Now, here's the scoop: Kage is a special needs pup, and he's looking for someone who can be with him about 90 percent of the time. Storms, rain, and loud noises send him into severe panic attacks, and he's been known to chew through walls when anxiety strikes. Crates aren't his jam because of past storm-related trauma. He's also dealing with seizures, so he's on medication for that. Kage would thrive in a local adoption, and he's best as a single dog with no cats or small animals around. He's a wonderful companion for older kids, and he loves nothing more than cuddles and long walks. He's got the whole house training thing down too. His foster mom adores him and has prepared him for his forever family as best she can. Now, the ball is in your court. Remember, when you adopt Kage, you're not just bringing home a good boy; you're giving him the loving, understanding home he deserves. Don't shop, adopt, because Kage's life depends on it! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Lilo the Wunderpup! Wanted: a home of my own Who am I: a very smart pup. Probably border collie & Boston terrier (but without the usual Boston terrier gas!) How do I look: sleek short black fur with a with blaze & some other white markings, a bobbed tail (natural, of course), & a unique L front toe Characteristics: very friendly, high energy, athletic plus: jumps, climbs -made for agility! Dog friendly. Supervise with cats. Great with humans of all ages & sizes. Quirks: Food aggressive with other dogs, so feed in a crate. Will counter surf or perform parkour feats to scale counters to obtain food, so best to crate her during meal prep. NEVER aggressive towards people. Favorite toys: any & all. Also will force you to immediately put up your laundry, since I love to “grab & go”, creating my own toys. Shoes, if not put up, are fair game 🤷🏻‍♀️ Do you have what it takes to be my “furever” people? I have been waiting so long… Attributes: Leash trained 75% housebroken, but stubborn about the last bit Supervise with cats VERY athletic Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
She's a good and happy dog and has the potential to be the right persons best friend. My nephew started college and now lives with me. He no longer has the time for her needs. She also has to be chained up all the time because she doesn't get along with my dogs. It's not a happy life for her, and she deserves better. To whomever adopts her, I hope it's ok for my nephew to get text updates every once in a while. Her name is Egg, and she loves butt pat's.
