Story
Molly is 11 years old, red border collie/blue heeler 50/50 split (purebred parents), and she’s been an inside/outside dog on a huge, unfenced property. She’s got incontinence issues now which has made her a permanently outside dog, though she occasionally wears dog diapers inside. I am not home enough to give her the attention she needs, so she’s gotten destructive including chewing on the house and expensive plants. She’s very smart, easily trained (already leash trained), and is mildly nervous. She’s fine around kids, but doesn’t love them, same with other dogs. She’s an excellent walking/hiking buddy. If you are able to give her a loving home with a bit more attention, she’s all yours along with her gear. I wish I could care for her during these final years, but that means she’s spending more and more time chained up while I’m at work. There’s gotta be a better situation for her. Oreo Cookies are da BEST cookies ever! And i are one of them :D So you now know all about me ;) Except the creamy center, which may explain why i am in a rescue looking for a furever home.. It isn't my fault ;( I mean, picture this..... there i was, minding my own business... and my mom and dad sit me down to tell me that they are getting a divorce :( And my mom, brother and I will be homeless soon :( :( what do you do??? I was lucky enough to find a rescue that was able to help me be safe and loved. (my mom and brother found a safe place too) So here i am at the rescue, just waiting to be discovered by my real forever family and I have some things to tell you about me.... I am cute, a little chunky and a little silly at times. But i am SERIOUSLY looking for that home. So if you like a chonky diva, I am yours!!! I am such a good girl ;) Even my rescuers tell me that! I am not sure why I was left alone in a neighborhood, by myself, all alone ?? I deserved so much better, and I am here to say, "SIEZE THE DAY!!!" Because you just don't know if it is your BEST day ever, UNTIL you SIEZE it and DON'T LET GO!!! And seriously, here I am!! Living in a rescue with friends and love and food and safety :D I am now ready for the best family! You would get the best companion, EVER!! I am loyal, I am loving and I am smart AND I can wear a cute pair of pajamas too! Abea was rescued from a bad living situation in Klamath Falls in 2020, she has then lived with another rescue dog and 5 rescue cats since. We have moved around, she is adaptable and resilient. Abea has been through a lot and is looking for a calm home to call her own. She is 12 years old but still playful and so loving. An ideal home for her would be a young adult or couple who wants a medium energy and adventurous dog. But she also does well with just a yard and some cuddles.
