Story
Hi! This is Kermit. He was adopted from the shelter last year & has been such a wonderful part of our lives. He is funny, goofy, playful & absolutely loves kids & dogs. Most of all, he loves to be outside & NEEDS a yard. We moved across the country (28 hours) into a house with a yard-specifically for him-but when we arrived, the house was full of mold :( we were able to get an apartment with short notice, luckily, but there is no yard access. He is having a really hard time in this apartment & it is not fair to him. He is the kindest dog & can be a little shy (only at first) given his previous life at the shelter. He absolutely needs a yard bc he loves to stop & smell the roses 🥹 he is a very fast learner & just wants to cuddle & play. He would love another dog to play with as well. He has a crate for night time, a Kong, chew toys, a slow feeder & a leash & collar 🫶🏻 he is very loved & we just want him to be happy.

Story
Meet Ace - The Deaf-initely Awesome Adventure King! I’m two years old and I'm thought to be an Australian Cattle Dog and Pit Bull Terrier mix, weighing in at 46 lbs. of pure love, zoomies, and main-character energy. I’m a super sweet guy who lives for affection. If you’ve got hands, I’m ready for pets. Now let’s address the elephant in the room...I’m deaf. But honestly, that just makes me cooler. No scary thunderstorms, no loud noises, no drama. Just vibes. I’m an active boy through and through. Adventures, walks, exploring, I’m all in. If you’re looking for a dog who’s down to get out and do things, I’m your guy. When it comes to other dogs, I’m a friendly dude, but first impressions matter. I do best with dogs who are social and easygoing when we meet. If a dog comes in too reactive or intense, I don’t really know what to do with that energy, especially since I can’t hear them. But give me a fun, playful friend and I’m all in. Cats are still a mystery to me. I’ve never met one, so slow and proper introductions would be the way to go. Keeping things calm and respectful will set everyone up for success. I’d do best in a home without kids as I'm working on meeting new people and I thrive in a calm and predictable environment. That means no sneaking up on me and giving me space when I need it. In return, I’ll give you all the love, loyalty, and goofy moments you could ever want. I'm looking for a home that understands me and is ready for an active, loving companion. Someone who is patient, consistent, and excited to build a strong bond with me. As I adjust to a new home, I can become a little overstimulated on leash, so I'll benefit from continued training and a home with a securely fenced backyard where I can safely settle in and build confidence. With guidance, routine, and positive reinforcement, I'll continue making great progress. I may not hear your voice, but I'll see you, trust you, and love you with everything I've got! My adoption fee is $295 and I'm neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped! Apply to meet Ace today!

Story
Meet Jack — aka Captain Jack 🏴‍☠️ Captain Jack, or “Jack-Jack” to his friends, is a handsome, medium-sized tripod with a heart that’s just waiting for the right person to discover it. He's 1 year old and ready for his forever home. Jack-Jack isn’t the kind of dog who falls in love with everyone the moment they meet. He needs time, patience, and someone willing to let him move at his own pace. But once you’ve earned his trust, you’ll have a loyal best friend who will never want to leave your side. The bond you’ll build with Jack-Jack is one that’s truly special. Don’t let his three legs fool you—this pirate is anything but lazy! Jack-Jack is incredibly fast, loves to run, enjoys pack walks, and absolutely lights up around the water. He even loves to swim (although with only three legs, he’s happiest and safest splashing in the shallow end!). Jack-Jack gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and thrives in their company. He’s happiest exploring the outdoors, so he’d love a family that enjoys walks, hikes, and adventures together. He walks nicely on leash and would enjoy having a securely fenced yard to explore, though he doesn't necessarily need one. Because of his background, he should always be on leash in public, as new people can make him nervous and he’s considered a flight risk. Jack-Jack would do best in a home with children ages 11 and older who can respect his space and allow him to build trust at his own pace. He is not a good fit for a home with cats. Jack-Jack’s story began on the Yakama Reservation, where he was born and survived alongside many stray dogs. After being hit by a car and losing one of his legs, he was rescued and eventually found his way into a loving foster home. His foster family adored him. He quickly bonded with the husband and, with a little extra time, learned to trust and love the wife too. Today at The Asher House, Jack-Jack has formed a deep bond with Sarah and loves joining Lee and the pack on their daily walks. Because he’s never truly had a permanent home of his own, Jack-Jack is looking for someone who understands that the best relationships take time. He’ll need continued training, patience, and consistency as he adjusts to family life—but he’s absolutely worth the effort. At about 40 pounds, Jack-Jack is the perfect medium-sized companion. As for his breed? Your guess is as good as ours! We think he may be a mix of Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd, Border Collie, and a little bit of everything else. If you’re looking for an easy dog, Jack-Jack probably isn’t the one. But if you’re looking for a dog whose trust is earned, whose loyalty is unwavering, and whose gratitude will last a lifetime, Captain Jack is waiting to meet you. Jack's adoption fee is $295 and he's neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Apply to meet Jack-Jack today—you just might be the home he’s been waiting his whole life to find!

Story
Balu is the big lazy fluffy bear of the three. He does like walks but gets tired quickly. Hes our most vocal talker, lets you know when someone new is around but lets go when its time. He like to run sometimes, and has big beautiful blue eyes. Has brand new knees in both back legs. He had surgery on his acls, but we had the best surgeon fix him up good. They like sleeping in their crates with the door closed and then we leave them roaming throughout the day and then we let them out for their potty breaks. Unfortunately, these aren’t your average Aussies with a lot of outdoor experience. They do spend a lot of time inside in the air conditioning, but to love the outside when it’s decent outside, my wife has always worried about that they would get to overheated. Just hoping to find somebody who could give them a good rest of their life that due to our family dynamics we were unable to keep themAlso, Balu is a huge drama queen 😂. We can explain that if you are interested thank you

Story
Harper is a great dog. She is 2 years old but unfortunately I now have a job that takes me away from the home for long hours and can no longer give her the attention and walks she needs. She needs a backyard to run in and loves playing fetch. Knows sit and stay, very smart dog. She can be shy at first but warms up after playtime. Her ideal home would be on a farm with a job to do.Contact me to set up an initial meeting to get to know her.
