Meet Rooney. This handsome black-and-white senior is a 9–10-year-old Border Collie mix who came to us from local animal control. He hasn’t had an easy life, but he has a gentle heart and a real love for adventure. Rooney is a special-needs boy. He has cataracts and is going blind—currently he has roughly 50% vision. We want him to experience and enjoy all the sights he still can, and we’re hoping to place him in a loving home where he can feel safe, comfortable, and cherished for the rest of his life. Rooney is a sweet, loyal guy who enjoys exploring and will make a wonderful walking partner. He thrives on routine, reassurance, and quiet companionship. Because of his limited vision and past experiences, Rooney must be the only pet in the home—no cats, no other dogs—and he is not suitable for a household with children. Despite everything he has been through, this old soul still has so much love left to give. He deserves a calm, patient adopter who will help him navigate his world and give him the kindness and stability he’s always deserved. If you have a soft spot for seniors and want to make a true difference for a dog who needs it most, Rooney would love to meet you. I adopted Leia from someone in Harrisburg. She did come from two farm dogs. She's extremely playful, energetic, and cuddly. She definitely needs someone who can give her the attention that she so desires. Back when I had more time, I'd take her and my shepherd to hike in the woods and I do trust her off leash out there. She does chase deer and squirrels, but always comes back and has never caught up to them. Aside from the time constraints, the other reason I'm hoping to re home her is because she gets car sick. So, I'm hoping that she can go somewhere with a large property. I think she'd do fantastic somewhere either with a large fenced in yard or just no close by neighbors. As far as cats go, she seems terrified. I figured that was a farm cat thing from when she was a pup, because I have no cats, myself. Ask any questions you like! I want Leia to get the best life possible.

"She ran calling "WILD.....FIRE"!! That is a haunting song.... I promise, though..I am not a HAUNTER!! But I may love to run around and around and AROUND :) I am a puppy! I am so sweet and cuddly, when i finish running around ;) I have plenty of energy so you HAVE to be ready to burn it off with mental and physical exercise. I am SMART too! Teach me who you want me to be and I will learn! I was found with 4 siblings living (dumped) at the Home Depot...but it was a LUCKY BREAK, cause we were seen by the husband of a rescuer and we got SAVED! Now I am in my foster home and learning the "ropes" ;) Potty training is getting better every day, I mean our foster mom takes us out often for potty control and I am really working hard to wait for the next jaunt outside! I also am crate training too! I don't like to pee or poop where I sleep- as long as I don't eat right before bed and go outside as soon as I wake up I am doing great!! I seriously am ready for my family, I LOVE to play and am great with all dogs big, small, old or babies. AND i have one half BLUE EYE!! The better to see you with, my new family! :) ADOPT ME SOON!! Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Sunshine was found running at large. It was several days before his family looked for him, and then they wanted to surrender him as he didn't like the kids and kept running away. Sunshine is a very happy, very active dog. He loves all attention and taking walks. He would be excellent for an active person, and a champ at agility as he can jump 4 feet without even taking a running start! He needs leashed when outside or a high fenced-in yard. Sunshine is very very clean in his pen and holds it as long as he can possibly hold it. He is partially housebroken and does well if taken out on a schedule He likes to play with some dogs, but other dogs he doesn't care for. He seems fine with cats. If there are other dogs in the home, a meet and greet is needed beforehand. Sunshine is very smart and can sit, lay, give paw and roll over! Sunshine needs an adult-only home as he doesn’t like kids.
