He lost some of his vision as he grew older  but that doesnt stop him :)  Now he needs a calm, quiet, fenced in yard home where he can enjoy being a family dog. and living the rest of his life.  He's UTD, Neutered, chipped and ready to go home. ##2646798##

Story
Sweeney, a handsome, friendly, perhaps Border Collie mix was brought to the rescue after being found wandering down a road on his own with no ID tags. He was extremely dirty with matted fur & awful smell and was immediatley given a bath. Unfortunately no one has come forward to claim Sweeney so he is now looking for his new forever home. At the rescue he has been friendly and cooperative with volunteers. Sweeney appears house broken, does not appear to have had much experience on a leash but enjoys running in big play yards and getting affection from volunteers. Sweeney will be vetted and neutered prior to adoption. For more information or to set up a meet and greet with Sweeney please contact Tri-County Animal Rescue Center ( kennel license #8704 )

Story
Avett is a 3 year old, male, Border Collie/Heeler mix surrendered to rescue when owner was "unable to support his needs". Owner reportsthey bought Avett as a puppy & he was free to roam in the home with children and other animals with no issues except for "jumping" sometimes. He has been friendly and cooperative with all the volunteers at the rescue. He loves running and playing in the big fenced yard and is working on his leash skills. He participates is several different play groups at the rescue & has done well with the other dogs. Avett is a bit over weight so we are providing a healthy diet and regular exercise to improve his quality of life which we hope will continue with his new family. Avett is house trained, neutered and current on vaccines. For more information or to meet Avett please contact Tri-County Animal Rescue Center ( kennel license # 8704 )

Story
Phoebe is an 11-month-old Border Collie currently being fostered after her previous family realized they couldn't keep her, through no fault of her own. This sweet girl is intelligent, affectionate, and eager to be part of an active home. Phoebe is fully house-trained and kennel-trained. She loves car rides and enjoys outings to places like the bookstore, where she happily shows off her calm, curious personality. At home, her favorite things are running around, playing with toys, and curling up for cuddles. She is very toy-motivated and excited to learn any tricks or activities you'd like to teach her. Phoebe adores both people and other dogs, but as a true Border Collie she'll do best with a family that understands the breed's energy and needs. She would thrive in a home with active pets or people who can match her enthusiasm for life.
