Hi there! My name's Duchess! I'm a super sweet girl, and everyone here at the shelter loves me. I'm hoping a nice family comes to adopt me soon! I was found as a stray and now I'm here at Heal Animal Rescue looking for a new family to call my own. I LOVE people, and I crave attention. I'm good on walks, and I like other dogs too! The people here at Heal say I'm the sweetest pup in the kennel, and that whoever adopts me will be one lucky family! I'm up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and I also have a microchip.

Story
Meet Samson! Samson came to us after his momma passed away at age 29, leaving behind her 1 and 3 year old human babies, and her 4 and 8 year old fur babies. Samson's mom passed away six weeks after learning she'd had breast cancer that metastisized throughout her entire body. We are deeply sadded for her family, and want to do everything we can to get Samson and his sister Gia into a good home. Samson and his sister are not bonded and can be adopted seperately, but we would love to keep them together if we can. Samson's transition into foster has gone okay, but he is still confused and sad. Once he settles in more, we expect him to be back to his happy and playful self. Samson is great with other dogs and kids, but a little weary of cats. Still, in his temperament test, he did not hurt or "go after" the cat*. Otherwise, Samson has passed his temperament test with flying colors, just like his sister.  *As I entered him into our system, I put "not sure" about cats, as it may depend on the cat based on his temperament test. He would likely do best with a laid-back cat in the home.  ##2039673##

Story
Meet nova! Nova is an approximately 3 year old lab and border collie mix, weighing about 50 lbs.    While my past is not known, I was rescued by some nice people after trying to live outside on my own! It appears I may have lived outside for most of my life, so I’m really enjoying this indoor house life. True to my roots though, being outside and running around is one of my favorite things to do! I’m content just laying in the grass and watching all the people and animals (especially bunnies and birds!). I would ideally do well with a fenced in yard or a place to run around and get my exercise in!    I love other dogs and making new friends! There isn’t a dog I haven’t met that I didn’t like!  Children don’t bother me either, especially if they give me treats!    My foster says I am the biggest sweetheart and have a very laid back demeanor. I can be shy and scared at first, but I warm up quickly. I just need some patience and love! I do great in my crate. Im still  working on some things adjusting to this indoor life though! While doing well, sometimes i need reminded that i can’t go to the bathroom where ever I please anymore! I love playing with toys, but do need reminded of what all is mine! I’m eager to please, and would do well with someone who has some time to teach me some tricks and learn! someone who is patient while I learn and has time to allow me that would be ideal!  I just want to love and be loved! Everyone who meets me falls in love with me! Are you my forever home?  This dog is available for adoption Paws Across Pittsburgh KL#16182.  ##2015898##
