Story
Betts (Rudy) is an awesome dog and oh so handsome!  He’s a 60pound, 13 month old red heeler and possibly Pyrenees mix. He’s a very smart boy and loves to work on training since he’s very food motivated. He is house and crate trained.  He goes 9 hours through the night without making a peep. He is a dog that prefers to have his own space. When he sees you get his food bowl ready, he immediately goes to his feeding spot and sits, waiting for permission to start eating his food. He goes and sits on his bed, after being brought in from outside, to get his feet wiped. He knows sit, down, stay, watch and touch, and is learning to walk nicely on a leash.  His recall is impressive. He’s a “velcro dog” that wants to be with you but with respectful boundaries.  He loves to be outside and active, even in the cold weather.  He’ll be a great walking, hiking, running partner or farm companion. Once he’s gotten some exercise, he’s happy to snooze on his bed.  Yes, he has herding instincts, but he doesn’t chase the livestock unless they start running and then he can’t resist joining in the fun.  He’s a pretty chill guy, but kids can make him very nervous so he is not recommended for a household with kids. An active home is a must do him but he mostly prefers  actively unloading horses or livestock (yes we know that is his dream!). Outdoor green space is necessary for this good ole boy - he is not a city slicker! ##2179601##

Story
Meet Lelu! She is a 6 month old heeler/border collie mix. She had a really tough start in life. She was found in a neglectful situation where she was crated for indefinite periods of time. Thankfully, she has found herself in foster, where she continues to gain some weight. She is a young lady who likes to be kept busy and active after finding herself free from the crate to now enjoy life, so if you have shoes laying around and she finds herself bored, be prepared, you may find her chewing on one! She currently is being fostered with other dogs so she is dog friendly! She is people friendly also! Because of her crate situation before being pulled into foster, she does suffer some separation anxiety and may need someone who works from home or spends little time away from her, along with an active lifestyle.  ##2323848##

Meet Aries! 5-Year-Old Altered Male Aries is a sweetheart through and through! This happy 5-year-old boy came to us as an owner surrender along with his best friend Kyra, and now he’s ready to find a loving home where he can continue to shine. With his big, bright smile and cheerful personality, Aries is sure to win your heart in no time. He loves going for walks and gets so excited he’ll even spin in circles — it’s his signature move! Whether it’s exploring the neighborhood or just spending time with his people, Aries is always ready to bring the joy. We’re still getting to know how Aries feels about other dogs, so a meet-and-greet with any potential canine roommates is required to make sure it’s a good match. Story
Looking for a new fur baby? Why not meet Robbie, the one-of-a-kind, 3 year old altered male dog with a playful side. He came to us as a stray from Fayette County. Robbie is a fun-loving, energetic, and adventurous pup who loves to play, run around, and explore. He has a big heart and loves giving lots of kisses to his human friends. Robbie is not sure about how he feels about other four-legged friends, so a meet and greet is required. His ideal home would be with a family who can give him all the love and attention he deserves. If you're interested in meeting this special boy, please come by and visit him. Robbie can't wait to show you what a great dog he is!

Story
Meet Jack! Hi, my name is Jack, though my foster family affectionately calls me Jackjack! I am a year and a half old blue heeler mix who is looking for my forever home. I was found as a stray and temporarily housed at a farm where I got along well with everything and everyone except their chickens! While I get along well with children and other dogs, we do not think I would do well with cats due to this. I also think older kids may be a better fit for me as I am very active. In my foster home I am currently with 2 children and 3 other dogs and get along splendidly with all of them. I love to play with toys and can jump really high for treats! My foster mom says I would make a great agility dog. I don’t know what that is, but it sounds like it could be fun.   I am very food motivated and aim to please. I am house trained and will go to the door to let you know I need to relieve myself. I do not like the crate much so we are working on that. I sleep through the night in it, but during the day I don’t really like to be in there, I would much rather be out with my humans and fur siblings. I am also working on leash manners and learning to not pull as much while walking. My new home should continue to work on this with me.   I am up to date on all required vaccinations and already microchipped and neutered, I am ready to go to my forever home. If you think I would be a great addition to your family, please apply at www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt.   Jack will be available for adoption on or after February 16th with Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale PA KL #16182 ##2303243##

Story
Hi!  I’m Ferocious, but don't let my name fool you. I'm anything but fierce! I’m 7 years old and weigh about 40 lbs.  I’m a mixed breed of some sort. I’m probably at least part cattle dog.  My name does not describe me at all. Some words that DO describe me are gentle, loyal, loving, and obedient. I get along with people, dogs, and even cats. I have a special affinity for children. The kids in my foster home love to pet me and tell me I’m a good boy. I’m submissive with other dogs and love being part of a pack.  I consider kitties part of my pack too. I don’t mess with them at all and let them sleep next to me or rub on me whenever they want.  I’m good on a leash and a very quick learner. I didn’t really understand what it was like to live inside with a loving family, but I’m quickly adapting and always try to listen. I will just require a bit of patience while I continue to perfect my house training and learn new commands. Even though I love every dog, cat, and human in my foster home, I get a little stressed out when I have to keep track of everyone. I feel responsible for all of my friends.  I would probably do best in a quieter home where I feel I can relax.  I’m learning to like my crate more, but I would prefer a home where someone can be home with me more often than not.  Once you meet me, you will see how ironic my name is. I would love to give you cuddles, hugs, and gentle kisses.  I’m neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. I will be available for adoption on or after 6/15/25 through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA 15144, KL 16182 ##2425043##
