Introducing Miss Marigold who is absolutely stunning. Her black, shiny coat is like silk to the touch. And as gorgeous as she is, she’s just as sweet. She is a 55 lb, 2 year old and her paperwork states she’s a border collie but most that have met her feel she’s a flat coated retriever. We all know one thing for sure, she’s perfect! She’s incredibly laid back, gentle and loves to carry her babies (toys) gently in her mouth and you can guarantee if someone comes to the door she’s going to bring them a baby, loving to share her joy. She’s house and crate trained ( does well for a few hours but more than that would not be plausible for this girl, she loves her people too much) She has never met a person she didn’t fall in love with. Smart and eager to please along with submissive, she’d rather you take the lead. She’s learning and doing well walking on a leash, loves to play with other pups and adores children. JoJo, with her curious expression and fantastic bat-ears was abandoned in a rough area of Charleston, WV. Luckily, a kind young woman saved her but could not keep JoJo. She had JoJo vetted, and was boarding her at the vet office until she could make it to the shelter. The vet and her staff loved JoJo and it’s easy to see why. She is great with everyone she meets. Weighing approximately 44 lbs., this sleek and solid girl is estimated to be 3 years old. She greets new people with kisses, shows no food aggression and her dog meet and greet went beautifully.

"She ran calling "WILD.....FIRE"!! That is a haunting song.... I promise, though..I am not a HAUNTER!! But I may love to run around and around and AROUND :) I am a puppy! I am so sweet and cuddly, when i finish running around ;) I have plenty of energy so you HAVE to be ready to burn it off with mental and physical exercise. I am SMART too! I was found with 4 siblings living (dumped) at the Home Depot...but it was a LUCKY BREAK, cause we were seen by the husband of a rescuer and we got SAVED! Now I am in my foster home and learning the "ropes" ;) Potty training is getting better every day, I mean our foster mom takes us out often for potty control and I am really working hard to wait for the next jaunt outside! I also am crate training too! I don't like to pee or poop where I sleep- as long as I don't eat right before bed and go outside as soon as I wake up I am doing great!! Now, before we go any further into my story.... let me warn you...it contains heartache and then some puppies, and fear and even some hopelessness. We do go to the top of the mountain as well, so hold in for the wild ride of my life:) maybe you will get to be my happily ever after.... So I was born a poor border collie mixed pup, in the miserable heat, in a disgusting backyard. To a mama that could have been so beautiful, if she had been brushed and cared for.... He was found as a stray and was surrendered to our rescue. He is being fostered with other dogs and cats and is doing well with both. He would do best in an active household. Mikey is being fostered in Mississippi but included in your adoption fee is transport to you to Pittsburgh. Our rescue transports to Pittsburgh every 3 weeks!
