Story
Hey there! I am Codi, aka Coco! I am a 11 year old boston terrier, but I am young at heart! I am still very active and eager to adventure! I love going places and meeting people. I am also a nap queen who never misses an opportunity for some quality ZZZ's. When I came to Zoe's in June 2025, I was leaving my family for the first time ever, and I was a little unsure. My family loved me dearly but knew they weren't able to meet my needs. In my foster home, I quickly overcame my nerves and settled right in. I had some struggles early on with accepting that I wasn't the only queen in this castle, but now I am friends with all the other dogs in my foster home. I've also done well meeting other dogs at adoption events. I do prefer dogs who are close to my size, unless the bigger ones can prove to me that they are respectful. I have had some health struggles, but now I am feeling fabulous. I have had two surgeries since coming to Zoe's House Rescue, and healed wonderfully with lots of TLC. I had seven mammary tumors and two other tumors that all needed removed. The tumors were biopsied and came back with multiple kinds of cancerous and pre-cancerous cells! However, our amazing vet was able to get clear margins on all my masses, meaning I am cancer free now!! I plan to make the most of my second chance, and meeting my new family is top priority! I absolutely LOVE kids and all people! I am good with easy going dog friends, but don't love rude or pushy dogs. I am actually a hunting dog under this disguise of a Boston Terrier, and I do chase cats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and other small pets. Overall, my ideal home just has to have a soft couch and some hands to pet me. I'd love to meet you!! Codi is medically cleared and ready for her next chapter! Full medical records are available to adopters. Codi is spayed, vaccinated, has had recent bloodwork, and has been kept up to date on parasite preventions since joining the rescue. She is a happy go lucky dog who just needs a loving home for her senior years...not that she knows she is a senior! Codi is fostered in the Lancaster Pa area. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! My name is Taylor.  I came to the ranch when I was 7 weeks old and have been here for almost 2 years.  I have a bladder problem that cannot be surgically corrected.  I could wear diapers but I absolutely hate them!!  Here at the ranch I do not have to wear a diaper because they mop and steam floors several times a day but I drip and they don't make me feel bad about it :)I may spend my life here but if I do I will be loved and accepted even though I can't hold my bladder :) I love to give kisses and recieve pets!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Story
Nadi ended up at our adoption center due to no fault of his own. His owners lost their house and unfortunately had to surrender Nadi. He is still new here so we are still learning his behaviors. He came to us not neutered and not up to date on vaccines. He will be neutered and up to date on vaccines before he goes to his new home. We are looking for a home with no young children. He has not been crate trained and is used to sleeping in bed with his owner. We will have to do a meet and greet with any other dogs in the home as we are unsure how he reacts to other dogs.

Story
hi Ace, This handsome boy is a 4 year old Boston Terrier. He and another dog were surrendered to our care from a commercial breeder when they were no longer wanted. He is 24 lbs. Ace came to us initially very scared, but he is quickly making progress and getting more and more comfortable with his new life and freedom. He finds a lot of comfort from his volunteers and will usually either snuggle up by our feet or come up for pets He is looking for a quiet home where he can continue to decompress. Having another social dog at home would help him become braver and more confident. He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, 4dx tested. He would need to meet any resident dogs. If you are serious about adoption, please fill out the adoption application on our website www.phoenixanimalrescue.com His adoption fee is $475. Story
Berri is a sweet, soft-souled girl who just needs a little understanding at first to get her bearings in a new home before she lets her true personality shine. She may start off a little shy with new people and in new settings, but it doesn’t take long for her to settle in and show you just how loving—and hilarious—she really is. Once comfortable, Berri’s silly, playful spirit comes out in the most adorable ways. She loves romping around with other dogs, sneaking off with a shoe, and celebrating life’s little moments (especially if there’s a pup cup involved). And when she really wants to tell you something? She’ll charm you with her funny little “Berri sounds” (imagine a turkey gobble ) her own adorable way of communicating. And she has the absolute cutest underbite ever!  She savors a good snuggle, and is happiest curled up next to her people or another doggie friend and will gladly soak up a head and paw massage if you’re willing to be her personal massage therapist. She’s nicely crate trained but is tightening up her indoor potty training skills - no big deal, we think she’ll pick up quick. Berri does great on walks and enjoys getting out to explore. In busier, more urban areas she can feel unsure on walks at first, but with patience and routine she’ll gain confidence and take it all in stride. Berri is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and will be able to join a furever family on or after 12/06/2025. www.mostlymuttz.org   #mostlymuttzrescue #adoptabledogs #adoptme #sillygirl #adoptable #sostinkincute #adopt ##2587398##
