Story
Nice to meet you, I’m Roma! I am a 5 year old spayed female Boston terrier. I’m a former farm dog, but now I am a very happy house dog! I have learned to LOVE snuggles on the couch, and I like to pull all the blankets into my bed. I’m very good motivated and eager to please. I love playing with toys and wrestling with my foster siblings! I adore people and get along with everyone I’ve met! I am very easy going and like to relax when I’m not playing. I sleep in my crate while my foster family is away with no problem. I am mostly housebroken, I’ve been learning fast since arriving in foster care. I am used to a fenced yard, but I could learn to go potty on a leash. Overall, I’m a really good girl, but sometimes I do steal laundry if it’s left lying around. I like to take it to my bed and add it to my nest. I will also steal other things from the floor to put in my bed, so I need to be supervised when I’m out of my crate. I am looking for a home where I can relax and play! Please apply to adopt me if you think I sound like a good fit for your home! Roma is spayed, vaccinated, HW negative, and up to date on flea/worm preventions. She is being fostered in southern lancaster county and interested adopters must be willing to come to her foster home to meet her. Please apply online at www.zoeshouserescue.com Kennel License #9117 PO Box 2372 Reading, PA 19608

Story
Hello! I am Sprite! I am a 1.5 year old spayed female Boston terrier. I am a just a tiny little thing, at only 15lbs. I am happy-go-lucky, silly, playful, and busy busy busy! I was surrendered to the rescue from a farm, and I am learning all about life as a family pet. I am doing great with potty training, but it is a work in progress. My forever family will need to anticipate helping me finish learning. I am also working on learning what is a dog toy and what is not…I just LOVE to play and everything looks like so much fun! I like balls, bones, hockey pucks, and stuffies - but my favorite thing is hand towels! I don’t destroy the towels, but I love to shake them and roll around on the floor while wrapping myself up in them. I didn’t get a lot of 1-1 attention prior to the rescue taking me, and I am learning about being cuddled and loved. I am not yet used to asking for affection, but I’m very tolerant when I’m held. When I crash after playing, I like to lay on the couch near my foster mom. I have had eye issues in the past that left small scars on my corneas. I can see well in the daytime, and I get around well, but my foster mama jokes that I need glasses. Sometimes I trip over my toys, and it’s tough to find my ball after dark. Otherwise I am not bothered at all! My eyes are not anticipated to get worse, and I require no current treatments. I am very athletic and I can jump fences. My forever family will need to either always keep me on a leash outside, or have a fence over 5 feet so I can’t go over it. Currently I don’t know any obedience skills, but I am very smart and I would LOVE to go to puppy classes! My foster mama has started teaching me things, and it is so fun to learn! Currently I am crated when alone, but I don’t like to be crated, and I really can’t yet be trusted loose in the house. I am looking for someone who is home most of the time and can provide a dog safe space for me when they aren’t home. My foster mom can help with a plan to create this safe space! I love other dogs, but my go, go, go energy can be exhausting for my older foster siblings. I would love to be adopted into a home with another young playful dog like myself! My foster home also has cats and a rabbit. I get along with them, but I do need to be supervised since I will chase them if they run from me! If you’re looking for a fun, adorable, active new pup, I could be your girl! Lots more pictures of me are available on my profile on zoeshouserescue.com! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! My name is Taylor.  I came to the ranch when I was 7 weeks old and have been here for almost 2 years.  I have a bladder problem that cannot be surgically corrected.  I could wear diapers but I absolutely hate them!!  Here at the ranch I do not have to wear a diaper because they mop and steam floors several times a day but I drip and they don't make me feel bad about it :)I may spend my life here but if I do I will be loved and accepted even though I can't hold my bladder :) I love to give kisses and recieve pets!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Story
Meet Lolita Lolita is a 5‑year‑old Boston Terrier weighing 19 lbs who is just beginning to learn what it means to be safe, loved, and cared for. She was surrendered from a commercial breeder when she was no longer considered useful, and it’s clear that life has not been kind to her. Lolita is a quiet, reserved, low‑key girl who needs a patient and understanding home. She is still learning how to be a pet and will need time to decompress and blossom at her own pace. Trust will come slowly—and that’s okay. Her future family should understand that progress will be measured in small, meaningful steps. Because of her past, Lolita cannot be left loose in a yard. When going outside, she must always be on a leash, as she may attempt to bolt if given the chance. Keeping her safe is a top priority, and structure will help her feel more secure. Lolita would do best in a calm, quiet home, ideally with another small, social dog who can help her learn routines, build confidence, and show her how to simply be a dog. A canine companion would go a long way in helping her decompress and feel at ease. She is not flashy or demanding—just a gentle soul who deserves kindness, patience, and the chance to finally experience a loving home. If you have the heart and time to give a dog like Lolita the space she needs to heal, you may be rewarded with something truly special: watching a dog who has known very little kindness begin to trust and bloom She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. She also had a dental. If you are serious about adoption, please fill out the adoption application on our website www.phoenixanimalrescue.com Her adoption fee is $500. Phoenix Animal Rescue Chester Springs, PA Kennel License #5152

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.4/6/26 Bismarck is precious! He just arrived at his foster home this past weekend so we will have updated pictures and info soon! His mom appears to be a Boston Terrier mix or Boxer mix? We really aren’t sure which. Mom weighs about 35 lbs. She is brindle with one blue eye. We do not know who/what dad was. Bismarck is a sweet little nugget. He is getting settled into his foster home. I do not believe these puppies will be as small as most Boston Terriers, but they probably won't be very big. I would say they'll probably be close to mom's size of around 35-40 lbs once grown. Some may be smaller than that. It's impossible to know for sure. Regardless, they are wonderful, loving little babies that need homes! They are currently about 11 weeks old and weigh about 10 lbs. Bismarck is the 2nd largest, after Croissant. He is incredibly sweet.
