Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!My name is Taylor.  I came to the ranch when I was 7 weeks old and have been here for almost 2 years.  I have a bladder problem that cannot be surgically corrected.  I could wear diapers but I absolutely hate them!!  Here at the ranch I do not have to wear a diaper because they mop and steam floors several times a day but I drip and they don't make me feel bad about it :)I may spend my life here but if I do I will be loved and accepted even though I can't hold my bladder :) I love to give kisses and recieve pets!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!March 14, 2024, 1:12 am

Story
"Hi, I'm Beatrice but you can call me Bea! I am 5 years old. I used to live in a commercial breeding kennel, but I was surrendered to Zoe's House in late February. Life has gotten so much better! I have learned that I love blankets and beds, and that not all people are scary. I am a bigger gal, but my foster mom says I'm just perfect for snuggles at 25lbs. I really enjoy going for strolls through the trails near my foster mom's house. I walk well on a leash. I'm working on potty training and my adoptive family will need to keep building my routine of going outside. I do not mind other dogs at all as long as the don't try to rough-house with me, I'll give them a stern look and a grumble if they do. I do not like the kitties though. They look like way too much fun to leave alone. I am a sensitive gal and loud kids might upset me. I'm gentle and would be a very sweet companion for calm kids. Overall, I will make a wonderful addition to a home! All I need out of life is a kind human and a cozy bed!" Beatrice is being fostered in southern Lancaster county pa. Interested families must be willing to travel to her foster home twice to adopt her. The first visit is a meet and greet with all members of the household, including resident dogs. After the meet and greet a date for adoption will be agreed upon. During her spay operation, it was discovered that Bea had external use staples in her uterus, which should not have been. Her spay was complicated by adhesions of her uterus to other organs, caused by having had many C-section births. She is recovering well and is expected to have no long term effects. Beatrice is spayed, had a dental cleaning, is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and has been treated with monthly parasite preventatives. Story
5 years old   Very petite.  She's adorable and very loving with people.  She loves belly rubs and toys.  She's good with most other dogs, but should be supervised initially until fully acclimated.  She has a high prey drive for cats, chickens or small animals.  She is a jumper and can clear a 3 ft fence and will run if given the opportunity.  Due to her prey drive and running, she requires a home with at least a 4 ft securely fenced in yard to keep her safe.   To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. Adoptions fees include the following:    spay/neuter surgery,  microchip and registration,  age appropriate vaccinations,  initial dewormings,  Activyl for fleas,  tested for FeLV and FIV (cats only),  bubble bath prior to going home (dogs only) WE do not "HOLD" animals without an approved application and a non-refundable/non-transferable paid adoption fee.  Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis.  We can not send extra pictures.  WE do not ship, you must pick up the pet.  Kitties must be transported in a secure cat carrier.   Pooches require a "martingale" collar and a non-retractable leash. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 27, 2024, 7:32 am
