You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! My name is Taylor.  I came to the ranch when I was 7 weeks old and have been here for almost 2 years.  I have a bladder problem that cannot be surgically corrected.  I could wear diapers but I absolutely hate them!!  Here at the ranch I do not have to wear a diaper because they mop and steam floors several times a day but I drip and they don't make me feel bad about it :)I may spend my life here but if I do I will be loved and accepted even though I can't hold my bladder :) I love to give kisses and recieve pets!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Story
Hi, I am Adalyn! I am a 5 year old female Boston terrier. I am sweet and I love affection, but I am very shy and hesitant with new people. It takes time for me to warm up when I meet someone, and even once I know them I can tend to startle easily. I love to snuggle with my foster mom on the couch and I follow her everywhere she goes. I’m a toy fanatic and will chew any toy and chase any ball! I also love to wrestle with my foster siblings. I would do best in a home with a confident dog to help me feel safe. I am not a big fan of the cats or small pets in my foster home - they are too fun when I chase them! I take medication daily to help with my anxiety. I’ve come a long way since I came to the rescue, and my medicine has made a big difference. I have a heart murmur that is stable and currently requires no treatment or special care. I am looking for a loving, patient, calm home with a dog companion. I would do best with adults only in the home, who can understand that sometimes I am a nervous nelly. Adalyn is spayed, vaccinated, HW negative, and up to date on flea/worm preventions. She is being fostered in southern lancaster county and interested adopters must be willing to come to her foster home to meet her. Story
Hello to all, I’m Nina, a 6 year old, approx. 20# Boston Terrier like NO OTHER! Retired from life of breeding, I’ve had my fill of other dogs both “male” (fur sure) and female. My pups were great but always taken from me over, and over and over again causing me to say “Enough is Enough” with other dogs (No Cats too). I MUST BE your ONE AND ONLY! NO way shape or form can I be near another dog, live with, befriend or even have access to another dog so a GOOD STURDY FENCE required for my adoption. NO EXCEPTIONS. On the “FLIP SIDE”, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, can’t say it enough, LOVE ALL PEOPLE from little crawly smelly dirty diaper tikes to gray haired old fogies, grumpy seniors. I DON’T CARE, I’ll love them to the end of the world and back! Talk about being STUCK TO YOUR HIP? Well, I’m a definite VELCRO GAL! You go upstairs, I go upstairs, down, I do down, in/out, whatever.. I’m there for you CONTANTLY a companion to give love, kisses and a smile on my face to MAKE YOUR DAY as you Faithful Companion! Although, I love all people, including kids, I need an adult only home as children to not have the ability to fully understand that I cannot be with other animals and need to be secured at all times so I don’t escape. Described as a “Cuddle Bug”, curling up with my person ANYTIME is where it’s at. Being a Boston Gal, I do have a bubbly personality that is comical at times, but also calm, cool and mature to enjoy lap time. If you think you’d want to “CUDDLE UP WITH ME” shoot Molly’s Place and e mail to meet me, NINA, a gal that can’t stand other dogs, but makes up for it with all love directed to her person/people! Kennel License # 7198 To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. Story
Purebread Boston around 4 years old. Very loving and sweet. Gets along great with our older mutt but doesnt always get along with our French bulldog. Sometimes they fight until they draw blood. Because of this I don't trust him around my newborn and my other young children. Otherwise a great dog. Potty trained and very snuggly.

Story
Meet Jax Jax is an almost 2‑year‑old Boston Terrier weighing 34 lbs, and he has grown into an absolute joy of a dog. His journey hasn’t been a straight line, but it has shown us just how resilient and wonderful he truly is. Jax originally came to us from a commercial breeder in Lancaster after growing larger than the breeder wanted. He was later adopted, but after five months was sadly surrendered again due to reports of nipping. Shortly after returning to rescue, Jax experienced a medical emergency and suffered a prolapse that required urgent surgery. He handled it like a champ and has since made a full recovery. During his recovery, Jax has been living in foster care with one of our trusted volunteers and dog trainers, and the feedback has been nothing short of glowing. His foster reports that Jax is perfect. He has been doing fantastic in the home, is crate trained and house trained, and has shown excellent manners and stability. He has been very comfortable and well‑behaved with her children, including her youngest, who is 7 years old. His trainer / foster could not be happier with how well he is doing. Jax is a happy‑go‑lucky, affectionate boy who loves people and thrives on engagement. He enjoys walks, playtime, and spending time with his humans. While he can be enthusiastic at first, true to his Boston Terrier charm, he has no handling issues and settles in beautifully with structure and routine. Jax would do best in a home that appreciates his personality, continues positive reinforcement training, and provides him with consistency and love. He would need to meet any resident dogs. Jax will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and 4DX tested. If you’re looking for a resilient, loving, well‑mannered companion who has overcome a lot and come out shining, Jax may be the perfect fit for your family. Story
Age: 1 year Size: 35 lbs Estimated breed: Boston Terrier/Cattle Dog mix (among many other breeds, according to her DNA results!) Lives with: Dogs, one very dog-savvy cat. She prefers a home with no kids or cats/small animals   Lucy is an 1 year old Boston terrier mix, whose personality far outweighs her size. She came to live with us when she was just a few weeks old after being rescued in Texas. In the time Lucy has been with us, we have watched her grow into herself. And what a character she has become!    Lucy lives with two other canine friends and a cat. Her and the cat have a mutual understanding. They are not exactly friends, but they respect each other's privacy (for the most part). As far as her canine siblings, Lucy has a strong bond with our Bernese Mountain mix (Sammy).    Sammy and Lucy have been friends since the start. It's quite the combination with Lucy being all of maybe 30 lbs to Sammy's 90 lbs. Rough play is the order of the day, with Lucy regularly ending up airborne after Sammy decides he's had enough and tosses her out of the way. Lucy, not one to give up easily, comes back for more and more. This cycle continues until Lucy tires out and heads to her crate or the couch to rest.   Speaking of crates, Lucy is crate trained and does very will with in. In fact, she usually goes in on her own when she wants alone time, or when we get ready to wind down our evening. Lucy is also excellent with being house broken and accidents are few if any in recent months.   Lucy is very independent and thinks she's a BIG dog. She is a bit headstrong with leash training, and also has a very active prey drive. If Lucy sees a squirrel or other small critter, she gets pretty excited and it is tough to break her focus.    Lucy would do best in a home with another large canine companion and a fenced yard. She loves her big brother Sammy and often cuddles with him when they tire out after their backyard wrestling matches. She looks to him constantly for entertainment, reducing some of the burden on us.   We are proud of the young lady Lucy has become. If you are looking for a smaller dog with the heart of a big dog and have the time to work with her, Lucy would love to meet you!   To adopt Lucy, please apply on our website! https://www.nirvanaanimalrescue.org/adoption-application   Please note we cannot guarantee the age or breed of any of our animals. All of our dogs are working on their crate and house training.   PA Kennel License #18366 March 8, 2026, 1:38 pm
