Meet Malcolm! Malcolm is a male Chihuahua mix born September 10, 2025, making him almost four-months-old. Malcolm and his brother Angus were rescued from a bad situation on a property that the rescue has been attempting to help over the years. This property has many dogs that are unfortunately unsocialized with people, and often sick. When we took in Malcolm and Angus, they both had mange infections and were quite fearful of people. They are doing better medically and their mange is clearing up nicely (this condition is not contagious). They are also doing great with their people socialization and are showing us what happy, friendly little puppies they are. Malcolm is the more shy of the two and will avoid being picked up. He prefers to dance around you, wagging his tail, but if you do catch him he will allow handling and pets. Because of his shyness though, we recommend a child-free home, or a home with older children. Malcolm is a happy boy who enjoys playing with his brother and other dogs. He is learning about toys and all the fun things about being a dog! Can you help Malcolm blossom even more? He's looking for his forever family! Malcolm currently weighs around four-and-a-half-pounds. His adoption fee of $400 includes vaccinations, microchip, and eventual neuter surgery at the PAWS clinic on Cave Creek Road in Phoenix. Per our vet, we do not alter puppies until around five months, which helps with hormone development and bone growth. Adopters will sign a contract that you will bring your puppy to the PAWS clinic for neuter surgery, sometime in February 2026. Bruno is 4 years old and an absolute big teddy bear. He likes to play with humans or dogs and run in the yard. He has gone to dog parks. He came to us so I could help him find a home as his owners were not able to do so. He has a bit of arthritis and needs to gain a little weight. He does not tolerate heat well and gets hives when the seasons change. I was told he has had professional training, but we had to re-teach him most as he wouldn’t respond without a shock collar. We don’t use it and he now is doing well without it. I don’t know if he does well with small children as mine are 10 years and older. Adoption fee is negotiable to the perfect home.

Ezra is a sweet, independent pit bull who needs a lot of exercise and company. We took Ezra in from another family member when she was about 3 months old. Ezra is shy/uncomfortable around kids and does not get along with other animals. Otherwise, she is sweet and loving to her inside circle. Ezra has separation anxiety and would do best in a home where she isn’t left alone too often. However, she is crate trained for when she needs to be left alone. She is currently on Prozac to manage some of her anxiety. We love Ezra and are disappointed to see her go, but we just want her to go to a loving home as we can no longer provide for her what she needs.
