Story
**This is a courtesy listing for Frosted Faces, Vintage Paws Animal Rescue** Say hello to Redburn! Redburn is a young male Boxer (best guess) mix, looking for a forever family. He was running around as a stray with another dog and being fed by a nearby tire shop, Redburn Tire Company. When the female dog started delivering puppies, the tire shop reached out to Frosted Faces rescue. Frosted Faces was able to take mama in so she could deliver her puppies in a safe and warm place. Another local rescue that had space for mama and her 10 pups was able to take her in, but they didn't have room for the male, Redburn.  Redburn is a sweet and somewhat shy dog. He gets nervous when encountering new things, or with loud noises. In fact, the tire shop said that Redburn wouldn't even let them pet him for quite awhile, until he got used to them. Redburn has gotten much better when meeting new people and enjoys gentle pets and attention from his human friends. He walks well on leash and enjoys a stroll around the block. Redburn seems like a dog who is just starting to experience what being a pet means. He doesn't know any tricks or training yet, but he is eager to please and we believe he could learn if you're willing to teach him. Redburn gets excited when the toys are thrown, but then doesn't seem to know what to do from there. Anyone up for teaching Redburn how to fetch? Redburn is nervous when meeting other dogs and does best with another dog that has a calm and neutral energy. A dog intro will be required prior to adopting.  Redburn would do best with a patient family who is willing to grow with him. We don't think he was ever a loved or "owned" pet and as such, will need help learning all about how to be a dog. Does Redburn tug at your heart strings like he does ours? Email chitownrescue@gmail.com for more information/meet and greet appointment!  *Redburn's adoption fee will include eventual neuter surgery, vaccinations up to date, and microchip. The clinic we use for alter surgery and vaccines has been backed up, so we are pending an appointment for Redburn. He will need neuter and vaccines prior to going home, but we are happy to do meet and greets with any interested adopters in the meantime. *April 3, 2025, 4:52 am

Call/Text 602-370-5510 Meet Gracie – A Sweet Soul Looking for a Fresh Start Gracie’s world was turned upside down when her beloved owner passed away, and now this sweet 9-year-old girl is patiently waiting at a boarding facility for someone special to give her the loving home she deserves. Despite the challenges she’s faced, Gracie remains full of life and love. Rescued in 2016, she spent over eight wonderful years with her previous owner. At a petite 45-50 lbs, Gracie is healthy, active, and young at heart—don’t let her age fool you! She loves hiking, enjoys long walks, and is great on a leash. She’s also non-reactive to other dogs, a pro in the car, and is a master of sitting on command. Plus, she’s always ready to sneak in a kiss and enjoy some quality petting time! Why Gracie is a Hidden Gem: Spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped Completely housetrained with no accidents Calm, affectionate, and eager to bond Best suited for a quieter, adult-only home—no kids Prefers to be the only pet, as she thrives with all the attention to herself Would do best in a peaceful, laid-back environment Gracie is a people-oriented pup who just wants to be your loyal companion. She’s ready to leave the stress of boarding behind and settle into a stable, loving home once again. Could you be the hero Gracie is waiting for? Napoleon is a handsome and happy 2-year-old mixed-breed boy who’s ready to find his forever home. This lovable bundle of joy is not only adorable but also incredibly smart and eager to please. Napoleon has so much to offer: He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped, so he’s all set to join his new family. A pro at basic commands like "sit," "down," and "shake", Napoleon is also crate trained, potty trained, and knows how to use a doggy door! He loves other dogs, is cat-friendly, and is highly treat-motivated, which makes continued training a breeze. While his leash manners could use a little polish, his enthusiasm and positive attitude make him a joy to work with. Napoleon’s energy and excitement might be too much for smaller kids, as he can get a little bouncy and may accidentally knock them over. Older kids who can match his playful spirit would be a perfect fit! Napoleon is sweet, smart, and ready to be your loyal companion. If you’re looking for a loving pup who will fill your home with joy, look no further—Napoleon is your guy! Don’t wait—come meet Napoleon today and let him steal your heart!
