Story
I am a soulful, affectionate pup who craves connection, safety, and a place to truly belong. My early years were tough - I was adopted as a puppy and thought I’d found my forever home, but things didn’t go quite as planned. My first five years were full of changes and uncertainty, and eventually, I was brought back to the shelter. It was a tough time, but I’ve since moved into a foster home where I’m learning what it means to feel safe and loved. I’ve made huge strides in building trust and confidence, and every safe, loving experience helps me grow even more. At 6 years old, I have the maturity and manners of an adult dog, but don’t let that fool you - I still have that inner puppy sparkle, a curiosity and joy that comes alive when I’m given new experiences, fun toys, and time to explore. I love outdoor adventures, cozy spaces filled with pillows and blankets, and keeping busy with my favorite chew and squeaky toys. Belly rubs and booty scratches aren’t just my favorite, they’re how I feel loved, comforted, and safe, and I have no problem making sure my people know when it’s time for affection. I’m treat motivated and eager to learn, making me easy to train and excited to work with people who want to help me continue growing. I feel most comfortable with people who are calm, kind, and patient - folks who let me take things at my own pace but are always there to guide and reassure me when I need it. I need a safe space away from other dogs and lots of hustle and bustle. I thrive on outdoor exploration, mental stimulation, and human connection. I’m very social at heart, I just struggle with trust because of my past, but the more people I bond with the more I learn that I’m wanted, safe, and loved and my personality blossoms. I’m looking for a calm, adults-only home with no other pets, where I can keep growing at my own pace. A big yard or access to outdoor exploration would help keep me engaged, and with time and love, I’ll be the most loyal companion you could ask for. Are you the person who can help me keep building trust and discovering just how great life can be? Adoption Requirements: Behavior consult, no other dogs, adults only home. My adoption fee is $200 and includes the following: -2 Free private training lessons in-home or at the shelter -Spay/neuter surgery -All current vaccinations -Microchip -FREE wellness exam through VCA Animal Hospitals -$25 gift voucher from our friends at Choice Pet Market For more information about me or to schedule a meet and greet appointment, please complete an adoption questionnaire.

Story
Hello, this is Oliver!! He is a fantastic dog that looking to rehome to a household that has multiple people wanting to raise and love this guy! I got him as a Christmas gift this past Christmas and he has been GREAT!! The only reason I am rehoming him is because I believe I am not equipped to continue caring for him with my current living situation. I live in a small apartment and don’t have other people helping me take care of him. I have a full time job, and life has been getting busier as of recently. He is very smart!! It was very easy to teach him sit, stay, lay down, and retrieving balls! He will need training in not jumping on people and to stay walking right next to you when he’s on a leash. He just had his first birthday on September 18th. Him and his siblings were originally adopted for $3,600. He has great genetics, especially for being a boxer! He LOVES people and has never been aggressive for a single moment. He doesn’t bark unless he’s been crated for too long!

Story
Please note this dog is NOT an official Underdog dog, and you will be connected with the person who has the dog. Please Contact Shelley, 310-344-1722, shelleycampeau@gmail.com:   MEET BEANS #2!! Beans is currently being fostered for PACC, but his current foster cannot adopt him and will need to return him if someone else cannot adopt him. Beans is sweet, curious, and sometimes a little goofy, rolling around on his back and laying upside down. He loves a post-meal pet and maybe a belly rub, and then a cuddle or snuggle. He is not much of a barker except when there is a knock on the door. He lets you know when he needs to go out in between his regular outings. He is house trained and crate trained. He will happily go into his crate (with a couple of treats) and mostly naps in there. He does have some separation anxiety (he is on trazadone), so the crate works well.  Beans is very food motivated, making him eager and easy to train. He likes a couple of good walks a day, but he is pretty chill. He will happily go on a hike, but he also loves to nap. He would love a home with a yard where he can romp around and play. However, he is pretty low-key and likes an easy routine. He walks pretty well on a leash. He will start to pull a bit when he sees other dogs on walks, but he can usually be redirected with treats. He is also more confident when meeting people on walks than he was initially out of the shelter. He does not like vet visits. For this reason, he is given trazadone and gabapentin prior to his last vet visit. Overall, Beans is a great dog who continues to thrive in a real home. Please meet Beans today, so he doesn't end up back at the shelter. Story
MEET MILLIE!! Looking to add a spark of joy to your life? Millie is your girl! This smart, spunky, and affectionate pup is eager to be your next adventure buddy and loyal best friend. Millie is house-trained, crate-trained, and full of personality. She loves tennis balls, stuffed toys (especially the squeaky ones!), and playing fetch like a champ. She’s recently started casual runs with her foster dad and would thrive as a hiking or jogging partner. At home, Millie is equal parts playful and cuddly. She enjoys exploring the yard or going on walks, then curling up for some cozy couch time. She’s working on perfecting her leash skills and can get excited when spotting other dogs or rabbits—but with consistency and guidance, she’s making great progress. Millie would do best in an active home with a secure yard and no other pets. While we’re still getting to know her around younger kids, she seems best suited for families with teens and up—especially since her greetings often involve happy hops and kisses! This sweet girl has recently found her voice and likes to keep watch for visitors. She’s alert, affectionate, goofy, and deeply loyal. Millie is ready to thrive with a confident, loving owner who can give her the structure and playtime she craves. Ready to meet Millie? Story
Name: Annabelle “Annie” Sex: Female Age: 10 years old Breed: Boxer/Pittie Mix Weight: 60lbs Compatibility with other dogs: Good with playful, submissive dogs Compatibility with cats: Not good with cats, will chase Compatibility with kids: Great with kids House trained: Yes Spayed/Neutered: Yes Activity level: Moderate Obedience training: Well trained Personality/Behavior: Crate trained, Likes toys, Lap pet, Playful, Affectionate, Eager to please, Goofy Requirements: Meets the whole family; Active home; No cats in the home; Either no kids or older children in the home; Someone to continue daily valley fever meds and allergy medication MEET ANNABELLE aka Hurricane Annie!!! Sweet ol' Hurricane Annie! She's been with the rescue for 9 years awaiting her forever home. She's only had one meet and greet the entire time (and that didn't go very well given how rambunctious she was when she was younger). Miss Annie has turned a new leaf in her older years. She's sweet, friendly, well trained, dog friendly (as long as the other dog is playful and submissive) and is great with kids.  She loves to snuggle in the bed, get "zoomies" but isn't a total hurricane anymore. Now, she's more of like one of those wind tunnels that come out of nowhere quickly with a burst of oomph but then are gone quickly and you're wondering what happened.   Annie loves to go on walks and is slowly learning that we don't have to be in a race, but she gets most of her exercise from swimming and running around the yard with her foster family.  *Annabelle is being treated for valley fever which includes daily AM/PM medication. She also get's an allergy shot every few months.
