Meet Malcolm! Malcolm is a male Chihuahua mix born September 10, 2025, making him almost four-months-old. Malcolm and his brother Angus were rescued from a bad situation on a property that the rescue has been attempting to help over the years. This property has many dogs that are unfortunately unsocialized with people, and often sick. When we took in Malcolm and Angus, they both had mange infections and were quite fearful of people. They are doing better medically and their mange is clearing up nicely (this condition is not contagious). They are also doing great with their people socialization and are showing us what happy, friendly little puppies they are. Malcolm is the more shy of the two and will avoid being picked up. He prefers to dance around you, wagging his tail, but if you do catch him he will allow handling and pets. Because of his shyness though, we recommend a child-free home, or a home with older children. Malcolm is a happy boy who enjoys playing with his brother and other dogs. He is learning about toys and all the fun things about being a dog! Can you help Malcolm blossom even more? He's looking for his forever family! Malcolm currently weighs around four-and-a-half-pounds. His adoption fee of $400 includes vaccinations, microchip, and eventual neuter surgery at the PAWS clinic on Cave Creek Road in Phoenix. Per our vet, we do not alter puppies until around five months, which helps with hormone development and bone growth. Adopters will sign a contract that you will bring your puppy to the PAWS clinic for neuter surgery, sometime in February 2026. Odin is the sweetest boy! He’s 2.5 year old Pitbull, German Shepherd, Cattle Dog, Doberman mix. He’s high energy and gets along well with people but can be anxious around new animals. Odin is smart, and needs daily enrichment to keep him happy and busy. He can easily advance through various levels of food puzzles. His love of food also makes him easy to train and he’d love to learn some new tricks. Odin also has warm, lovable side. He would do great in an active family with older kids where he can enjoy playing and being active with a lot of cuddle time.
