Finley is a nine-month-old, 29-pound white Boxer mix. This very handsome young dog came to Home Fur Good from Maricopa County, where the busy, noisy shelter environment was overwhelming for him. Because of his fear, Finley was placed on the euthanasia list for hiding under his bed. Home Fur Good staff made a point to meet him before his deadline. They could see that Finley never showed reactivity when he was unsure or frightened, only a quiet hope that someone would understand him. Since arriving at Home Fur Good, Finley has been blossoming. With patience, kindness, and consistency, his confidence has grown, and his true personality is beginning to shine. He is revealing himself to be a friendly, fun-loving pup who enjoys lots of playtime and affection. Watching Finley discover that the world can be a safe and happy place has been incredibly rewarding. Finley would likely thrive in an active yet patient, loving home where he can continue building confidence at his own pace. A friendly canine companion could be a wonderful role model and help him feel secure and help him burn some puppy energy off. With the right family, Finley is sure to grow into a devoted and joyful companion. Finley’s adoption fee of $350 covers essential services such as spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Petey came to Home Fur Good in November 2021 after being found as a stray. He was coming up on a full year at HFG, and steps have been taken to help him complete the process to find his forever family. Getting his stats out there, he will soon be turning five years old, and he is a 53-pound, Boxer mix. HFG has always known that Petey is a good boy and that he has amazing potential to learn new tricks, skills, and the desired behaviors to become an amazing canine citizen. Petey has spent two full weeks in Board and Train with George at Couth Canine. Petey was introduced to heeling and sitting at his handler’s side. Petey loves going on walks and adventures, and by learning leash manners, his opportunity to go out and about increases tenfold. Petey thrived with school and having a pack leader. Petey’s biggest desire is hanging out with people and feeling pets and affection. He is willing to listen and follow instruction for the sheer joy of a head scratch and hearing “good boy.” His forever family will need to continue to work with Petey. A tight bond can be developed with a healthy environment of a strong pack leader and Petey. Petey is fine making new dog friends. His preference is for dogs who give him space and prefer co-existing over wrestling. If you can match Petey’s vibrant attitude, come on down and meet him. The adoption fee is $225 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm by appointment.

I named sweet this dog Blythe because that where I found her. Off the I-10 and she ran right up to me with a big smile. It was raining and she was alone so after waiting a while and making sure nobody was looking for her, I took her home to scottsdale. She’s been with me through christmas and has filled my heart with so much love. She’s energetic, curious, and playful, without an aggressive bone in her body. She’s seven months old and come from a breeder in Canada according to her chip. She gets along well with other dogs (played with two these past few days) and all people as well. She’s teething so needs a good chew toy and some attention but it’s all worth it with how she cuddles up to me. I need help fostering this dog- she doesn’t deserve to be in a shelter. Please help me this holiday season even if it’s for a couple weeks. No fee and i’ll leave you with some food.

❤️🐾 Sweet Pup Seeks His Best Friend (Forever) 🐾❤️ Every Rocky needs his Bullwinkle. Or so, that’s what Rocky (the 3 y/o, 58lb handsome pittie) thinks! Rocky is also seeking his forever home! He was saved from the euthanasia list at county after he was e-listed for being stressed in the shelter environment. We know, it can be scary there. Especially for a sweet boy like Rocky. Though, ever since he left county and went to his foster home - Rocky has really let his guard down and proven to be a SUPER HAPPY boy! He’s a big goober and never in short supply of entertainment for his foster family. As you can see from the photos — he LOVES his human foster siblings! His foster mom shared the following about him: ✅ He’s so sweet, gentle, energetic, affectionate and playful. Great guard dog. Plays fetch. ✅ Likes to play fakeout with his chew toy. Comes up to you with it to play, but when you reach for it, he turns away. He pushes his nose into a dangling hand to get scratches. ✅ He enjoys eating and going for walks most! ✅ Rocky is in a home with another medium-sized female dog and the get along well. ✅ Learning leash manners with a trainer because he pulls on the leash when he sees cats or other dogs. Haven’t had a chance to see what he’ll do if actually make contact. ✅ He barks and acts cautious around new people but warms up after a bit of exposure. ✅ He barks and acts cautious around new people but warms up after a bit of exposure. ✅ Ideal home: older kids, and someone home with him most of the time. ✅ In a nutshell: he’s an energetic pup who loves being pet and taking walks. He’s very obedient in the home, perfectly house broken, playful, affectionate.
