Story
Meet our new foster Diana. She is an 8 1/2yo boxer mix. 58lbs. When we asked several people at Animal Services, “Which dog are you most surprised hasn’t been adopted yet,” they said Diana instantly! She is friendly with people and dogs and is a great mix of chill and playful. She is noted to be an excellent walker, polite when receiving treats and loves attention. She is with a foster who has another dog, and she already learned to use the doggie door. She loves the beach. If you are interested in Diana, please reach out to Safe Paws Rescue. Our adoption process includes a home visit and veterinarian and/or personal check. Safe Paws Rescue is a small rescue in St. Petersburg, FL so we accept inquiries from residents in Pinellas County only, please. For an adoption application, go to:https://safepawsrescue.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Adobe-Safe-Paws-Adoption-Application.pdf

Story
Ophelia “Ophe” is the absolute sweetest dog. She is 13 years old but in great shape for her age. She loves to cuddle and is loyal to her bones. We are devastated to have to make the decision to rehome her due to our one year-old constantly bullying her. She deserves a more peaceful home in her last years and I hoping we can find someone that can give her the attention that she deserves.

Story
We adopted Paddy (then called Ted) from Friends of Strays. He was picked up by animal control living on the street. Best guess from the vet is he's about 18 months old. He is a wonderful dog and loves everyone and is great with other dogs. He enjoys cuddling and going to the dog park. He is crate trained by would rather sleep in bed with you or the kids. Paddy has all the normal silly boxer traits. He's goofy, scared of the vacuum and gets the zoomies. Unfortunately, my wife and I both have different jobs since we adopted him and have gone from working remote to in office work as well as frequent travel. He needs a family to give him lots of attention which he will return.

PLEASE READ THE ANIMAL’S PROFILE AND ALL NOTES BELOW BEFORE APPLYING! 💕 Hi, I’m Lonnie 🐾💕 I’m a 5-month-old Boxer puppy with a big personality, tons of energy, and a whole lot of love to give! I’m playful, smart, energetic, and always ready for the next adventure. I love being near my people, so if you walk out of the room, don’t be surprised if I happily follow right behind you! 🥰 I’m house trained and crate trained, and I already know some commands. I’m doing great in my crate and can settle down nicely at bedtime. I’ll happily go to sleep when you do and can sleep through the night for up to 8 hours. I’m still working on potty training, but I understand that potty happens outside—I’m just learning how to let my humans know when I need to go. I’m a VERY energetic puppy and definitely need a family who can keep up with me! I get the zoomies and love to run and play, so a securely fenced backyard would be wonderful for me. I also enjoy playing with other dogs and would love a playful doggy sibling who can help me burn off some of that puppy energy. 🐾 Like many puppies, I’m still learning how to play politely. When I get really excited, I can be a little mouthy during play, but I’m improving and learning that gentle play is much more fun. I’ll need a family who is patient, consistent, and willing to keep working with me every day. I do well with big dogs and older cats, and because of my energy and enthusiastic play style, I’d do best with older children who can handle my puppy antics. My foster says I’m a sweet girl who just wants to love. I may not always show my cuddly side right away, but when I’m calm and sleepy, all I want is to snuggle up next to you. ❤️ Adoption FEE: $650 which includes her spay, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals. A Mercy Full Project (MFP) Adoption Application MUST BE COMPLETED in order for you to be considered as a potential adopter. By filling out the MFP Adoption Application you agree and understand that ADOPTION IS NOT GUARANTEED. We are not first come, first served and submitting an application does NOT guarantee adoption. Story
It breaks our hearts to write this, but we are looking to rehome our dog to the right family. We rescued him from a kill shelter, and he has been nothing but loving, loyal, and incredibly sweet ever since. This dog truly has a big heart—always happy to be near people, full of affection, and eager to be part of the family. He is not aggressive at all—no history of biting or mean behavior. The challenge is simply their high energy and lack of awareness around our Newborn. Since bringing home our newborn, we’ve realized he doesn'tunderstand how fragile a baby is. In their excitement, they have accidentally stepped on and tried to lay on the baby, which could lead to unintentional injury. This is truly a loving dog who just needs the right environment to thrive. They deserve a home where their energy and affection are a perfect fit.We are committed to finding them a safe, happy home where he will be loved as much as he is here.
