Hi, I’m Lola! I’m a sweet, goofy girl. I can take a bit to warm up to someone new, but once I do, I will greet you with a piggy snort. I would love a home with no cats, dogs, or small children. A home with a yard would be fun as well! I love to run around and play. I would benefit from attending a class or private session from one of our recommended trainers, such as A Canine Story, to continue setting me up for success. Meet Jude.... she is a beautiful brown / black brindle female boxer mix. She is a sweet soul who wants to be where you are. She is very friendly and wants to meet and greet everyone (no one is a stranger). She can be a little shy at first meeting, but in no time she will determine if she can snuggle up and call you hers. Given her love of people, she does not like to be left alone. She will do best in a household where someone is home most of the day or she can travel with you. She is very very well behaved if she has a person with her. If she is alone she will find things to get into and will scratch and chew things. If left alone, she will need to be crated in a heavy duty, non-wire crate to keep her safe. She is using a crate in her foster home and does get anxious at first going in, but does settle down in 5-15 mintues. She is great with cats however she sometimes does try to chase them in a playful manner, but does really well when being called over to leave them be. She seems to know the "leave it" command. Jude is also good with other dogs, she is friendly and does the appropriate get to know you sniff but is not too intrusive. So, she would be fine in a house with other pets. Jude wants to believe she’s a lap dog. She'll make the lap thing happen! She gets very excited for food and would do best with a slow feeder to keep her from scarfing her food in 2 seconds. P.S. She’s super soft ! Come and meet Jude and pet her soft, sweet face for yourself.  ##943684##

Just one look at this guy and you can't help but wonder why he was given the name Chicken? We do not have a clue. He is a senior guy looking for a home to spend out the later years of his life with all the comforts that a loving home will provide. Chicken still has a good amount of energy, but at the end of the day, he would simply prefer to curl up in your favorite chair, if you will let him, or a plush dog bed. She is a very sweet dog and it breaks our hearts to have to try and re home her. She does not like kennels and has separation anxiety we guess? As well as being afraid of storms, lightning thunder etc. it has gotten to the point that we are not able to give her enough attention and we don’t have a fenced in yard or much space to play. I’ve had hip surgery and my wife has chronic back issues so we are not able to physically keep up with her either. She is very obedient and knows commands and is house trained. She has lived with a cat and dog and gets along fine with new dogs that have visited. She loves kids though she can accidentally be ruff unintentionally she is super sweet. Want to find a loving family for her.

We don’t want to see her go but sadly she is not getting along with our other pets due to wanting attention to herself and anxiety. She needs a home where she is loved and given lots of attention.

Hero came to us after he was found by a local animal lover with 2 broken legs. This is a nice, friendly boy who is good with people, other dogs & cats. His approx. birth date is 01/01/18 and he currently weighs 41#. We did not see either parent and are guessing at breed based on physical attributes. We had both legs corrected at the price of $7000 and the results were great. The surgeon stated that the legs were broken most likely by a bat and that they were definitely broken at least 2 weeks apart. Someone did very bad things to this nice boy. Hero has been in foster and is House Trained. He has also graduated from basic obedience and is ready to move up to Dog 3 Obedience Class! Hero can be very possessive of his people and can be dog selective. We are recommending his as an only dog in an adult home. He has been vet. checked, neutered, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol And heart worm tested negative.His adoption donation is $300 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. We do not ship or transport.Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with his forever home. ##580807##

Romeo is absolutley the sweetest pitbull you will ever meet. He is friendly to all of the volunteers and loves his outside time. In fact, he prefers to have his breakfast and dinner outside, while enjoying the sunshine. Romeo was found as a stray, but we just can't imagine how anyone let this guy go. He is doing well adjusting to life in the shelter, but is kinda sad. We would love for him to find a home with a warm fluffy doggy bed for him to relax. He does have arthritis in his left rear leg and possible torn cruciate there, too. He has responded very well to daily anti-inflammatory meds - cost is roughly $1 per day with vet prescription. This will be an ongoing condition that will need to be monitored.
