Story
Just one look at this guy and you can't help but wonder why he was given the name Chicken? We do not have a clue. He is a senior guy looking for a home to spend out the later years of his life with all the comforts that a loving home will provide. Chicken still has a good amount of energy, but at the end of the day, he would simply prefer to curl up in your favorite chair, if you will let him, or a plush dog bed. He would do best with older children and a quieter lifestyle since that is what he had in his prior home. Come meet this guy and check out his big soulful eyes. Sage is a total sweetheart once she gets to know you. It will take a couple visits, but once she is familiar with you, she is quite a cuddler. Sage loves to go on car rides and walks. Because of her protective nature, she will need an experienced owner that has the time and patience to continue her training. Sage needs a home with a secure fenced yard, no children, and will need to be the only animal in the house.DOB 5/6/2020 42 PoundsI'm waiting for a home to call my own. email webmaster@petrefuge.com to learn more about me or fill out an application at https://www.petrefuge.com/adoptPet Refuge was formed in 1978 to help with cats and dogs in need of homes. Story
Hi, my name is Echo! I'm an action packed social butterfly in a small body. I love any thing and everything squeaky and treat related. I'm fine with cats and I love kids of any age! When I want to play with you, I prance my happy dance. I also love to play with other dogs, but sometimes I get too bitey. My foster mom says I'm easy to redirect though! I think I would love to live with a young dog around my size who likes to play. I love to cuddle and sleep with my foster family at night. I can take time to get used to new people, but once I'm familiar with you, I will play and cuddle with you so much. I love my foster home, but I can't wait to have a home I can call my forever home. I really can't wait to meet you!Born 02/24/2023- adoption fee $300- small at 22lbs- neutered- in foster home- good with cats- good with dogs- good with kids- working on house trainingFill out an application at all4animalsrescue.org  ##1734377##

A home with a yard would be fun as well! I love to run around and play. I would benefit from attending a class or private session from one of our recommended trainers, such as A Canine Story, to continue setting me up for success. Story
Lyra has mastered the puppy dog eyes - even still at approximately 7 years old. She understands that your couch is our couch, your bed is our bed, makes herself at home, and even updates the Feng Shui of any cushions - free of charge! She is packed full of personality, and loves to be near you as much as possible. Lyra was clearly cared for in her past life, and it's possible she never used to have to potty outside if it was raining or snowing. Despite not being a lover of the elements, she does still adhere to her potty training and makes every effort to "hold it" until she's let outside.  Thus far, she has gotten along with everyone and everything. Anyone - human, dog, or even car - that passes by is a potential new friend, and she is READY to greet them (nicely and quietly). She reads the room really well and doesn't want to start any trouble, but she will absolutely let loose and wrestle, chase, and smack talk if she has a willing playmate. She has not resource guarded anything but bones so far, and is OK if you touch her food, but very very sad if you take it away (even to add to it), or don't put enough food in her bowl to begin with. She will hit you with her signature puppy eyes and they are very effective.  She has some pretty big feelings about being left alone. She is currently on Prozac to help manage those feelings, and she will sing you the song of her people when you leave her. But she does better with another dog in the home, and is an absolute angel while you're gone. She does NOT like being cooped up, caged, or tethered, though. The only time she has ever been destructive is when she has not had free range.  She does OK on the leash - she pulls but listens and distracts you with the little flops of the tips of her ears. Off leash, she gets the zoomies and particularly enjoys spinning in circles. She is also pretty good about coming to you.. Once she has taken in the sights and smells.  We do not know her past. She has several scars, and a knee that's been fixed up. None of that seems to have phased her, however! She is the absolute sweetest dog and just wants to love and be loved. She is very playful and would prefer a home with other pets, and ideally someone who is either retired, works from home, or a home where at least one human is home at any given time.  We've not tested for everything yet - but we suspect she'd be friends with any age of human, and any animal. We do not accept electric/underground fences. All dogs & cats in the home must be spayed/neutered & up to date on core vaccines & preventatives in order for your application to be approved. ##1840663##

Story
My name is Petey!I’m 7 months old, extremely handsome, and potty trained. I am energetic and have a wonderful enthusiasm for walks, playing ball, especially my orange ones. I am learning my basic obedience and will sit like a gentleman and wait for you to open the door. I will need a home that is prepared to provide opportunities for enrichment and adequate exercise. I am a great traveler, so car rides are always a "sure let's go" from me. Due to my size older children would be a better match. I am very loving and my tail never stops wagging. I love people and do much better when someone is home, because I get lonely and need your cuddles. My foster mom brags about me all the time, so I must be pretty wonderful!DOB 9-5-23 71 poundsI'm waiting for a home to call my own. email webmaster@petrefuge.com to learn more about me or fill out an application at https://www.petrefuge.com/adoptPet Refuge was formed in 1978 to help with cats and dogs in need of homes. Story
Leo is a 2 yr old terrier mix.  He weighs 88 lbs and is full of love and kisses.  He was  returned to us from being adopted as a puppy.  After living with a cat for 9 months, he decided he no longer liked the cat and has become dog selective.  Leo is  smart and listens very well.  He is house trained and doesn't need a crate.  Does good riding in the car.  Leo needs to get all the love and prefers home with no other animals.  Older kids would also be best as he doesn't know how big he really is.  Leo is slow to warm up, but with a little patience , he's all yours.  An experienced dog owner is required.  Please give this big guy a chance. He's a good boy just waiting for his forever home. If you are viewing this pet's profile on Petfinder or Adopt-a-Pet,.please use the application link at the bottom of the profile to apply. Story
It's hard not to be cheerful with a name like Rainbow Bright! I am estimated to be 1 year and I weigh 55 pounds. I was named after my rainbow collar that I had on when I was found. I had on a brand new collar and I was healthy, but my people never came for me! I am so happy to be with other dogs. I can't be placed with cats. The shelter can't believe that I wasn't reclaimed. I'm a great girl. I love to play with Kyler, and Gamora. They're my buddies. I am hoping to live in a home with other dogs. I know how to sit. I love every one I meet! I have the cutest crooked little bottom teeth and the brightest smile!
