Wrigley is the perfect companion for someone who loves the full puppy experience. He’s desperate for love, attention, playtime, and snuggles… and then more playtime… and maybe even a little more playtime after that! Wrigley has really enjoyed the company of the other HSOC dogs. While we think he would love just about any canine companion, a meet-and-greet is required prior to adoption to make sure everyone is a good match. Wrigley can also be cat-tested upon request, though his wiggly puppy enthusiasm might be a lot for some kitties! At this young age, Wrigley is the perfect candidate for training. He’s already starting to understand potty training here at the Humane Society, and we have no doubt he’ll become a housetraining champion once he settles into a home with a consistent routine. Wrigley is ready to find his forever family. In return, he promises lots of laughs, good times, silly memories, and a lifetime of love. Her happy place is with her owner, out in fields, around other animals, in the woods playing fetch, or swimming. She is the best mix of energetic and lazy and she will sleep all day if comfy enough but is always up for a walk. She would thrive in a household that can offer consistency, time, love and patience. Doing best with routine, someone who is able to take her to the park everyday is ideal over constant to coming and going from the house. She has Addisons disease which requires a daily pill, and monthly shot to ensure that her body produces cortisol. With proper medication routine she is just like any other happy, loving, sweet dog. Emphasizing the need for someone with the ability to meet her needs, and give her time. You'll find her to be an amazing hiking companion, or cuddle buddy.

Hello everyone, meet Rocky! This chunky monkey came to Woodford Humane looking for his second chance after his human passed away. If you are looking for a dog who is out of the puppy stage but not yet to lazy senior, Rocky could be the perfect fit for you! While it would benefit him to lose a few pounds (to help his joints as he gets older) we don't suspect he'll want to be running any marathons. Rocky will be quite content to snuggle up on the couch after a good walk or a jaunt around the backyard. If there’s one thing Rex is going to do, it’s strut his stuff! This handsome old-timer just keeps getting better with age. Rex is an American Pit Bull Terrier who is considered a senior at around 8 years old, but don’t let that number fool you. He’s still full of life, love, and personality. Rex has yet to meet a stranger. He has a wonderful, friendly temperament and enjoys spending time with his human friends. He loves a good snuggle once he's done romping around the yard. When it comes to other dogs, Rex has lived successfully with a canine companion and has shown playful interest in dogs here at HSOC, especially the lady dogs, who he makes sure to show off for. Rex was adopted in 2019 and returned to us in 2025 due to unforeseen circumstances, through no fault of his own. We know that in his younger days, cats were a bit too exciting for him. Any dogs in the household would need to participate in a meet-and-greet with Rex to ensure a good match. Rex is considered special needs due to his age and skin allergies. He currently takes a joint supplement and Apoquel to help manage itching and inflammation, and he will need to continue both after adoption or while in foster care. Rex also has a few benign, wart-like growths that have been examined and are not expected to cause him any medical issues. If you’re looking for a sweet senior who will bring love, light, and plenty of laughter into your home, Rex is ready to meet you.
