Story
Meet Jax! An eight-year-old Boxer mix who is ready to travel anywhere for his forever family! Weighing in at a solid 70 pounds, Jax might just think he's a lap dog with his affectionate, sloppy kisses and an unwavering desire to be close to his humans. Imagine this gentle giant curled at your feet, or better yet, joining in a lively game of keep-away with gleeful children. His joy is palpable, especially when he performs his signature "jumping jax" at the mere mention of a walk! Jax has a heart full of resilience and love, ready to bring warmth to any family. Though he prefers not to be left alone for long, he’s a perfect companion when around other dogs he knows or people—even if just in another room. He adores the great outdoors, and his enthusiasm shines during playdates and adventures at the local dog park. He’s sociable with dogs of all sizes, though his recall may need a little polish—Jax is ever curious about the wildlife he encounters! Living with Jax means embracing his high-energy spirit and managing his sensitive stomach with the right diet. An enclosed yard, constant companionship, and a routine filled with walks and playtime would ensure his days are as joyful as he is. Does your home have room for a big-hearted boxer mix with a love for life? Could you be the one to keep Jax's tail wagging happily ever after? If so, please contact us at adopt@joyfulpets.com, and let's chat about the joy Jax can bring into your life! Also, Jax is open to a long-distance adoption—love knows no distance when finding your perfect companion!

Story
Meet Maya! A serene eight-and-a-half-year-old brindle-coated sweetheart currently living in Doylestown, PA, whose quiet presence is like a soft blanket on a chilly evening. With a gentle gaze and calm demeanor, Maya may take a moment to warm up but when she does, she’ll melt right into your lap and your heart. Weighing in at around 35 pounds, Maya is a medium-sized girl with a passive personality and a preference for the cozy comforts of indoor life. Her nickname? “Vampire dog” because she much prefers the nighttime for her outdoor adventures! She isn’t one to demand constant attention, but when she chooses to snuggle up beside you, it’s like being chosen by a tiny, fuzzy queen. Maya hasn’t shown interest in toys much, especially after realizing her companion Kalle can be a bit protective over them, but she finds her joy in soft bedding, calm environments, and being close to her trusted humans. She’s crate trained, house-trained, and takes everything at her own peaceful pace. Thunder makes her nervous and she prefers a slower approach when meeting new people. Quick movements can unsettle her, but patience and treats go a long way in helping her feel safe. Though Maya hasn’t had formal training, her quiet nature makes her a lovely presence in a calm home. She’s not a fan of cats and may be a bit shy around unfamiliar dogs, but she remains gentle and respectful. Maya has been Kalle’s quiet companion for years, and they’ve built a strong bond together. While Maya would be perfectly content in a loving home of her own, she would be especially happy if Kalle could join her in this next chapter. Are you ready to welcome this gentle little night owl into your heart? Contact adopt@joyfulpets.com to learn more about Maya!

Story
Meet Jojo ~2-3 years old • Medium mixed breed • Fostered locally We found Jojo at a local municipal shelter in need of some serious TLC. As a stray, we don’t know his past—but we do know he’s a survivor. Jojo was severely underweight when he was found, yet his resilience and joyful spirit have shined through every step of his recovery. Since joining the BTDR family, Jojo has been on a refeeding plan and has already doubled his weight! He’s now settled into his foster home, where he earns A+ reviews for being adorable, potty trained, and an excellent office buddy. Here's what Jojo's foster says!: "Jojo is super playful, goofy, LOVES to run, and would thrive with active people or another playful dog. He's fully potty trained, knows basic commands, crate trained (has never complained about it), walks on a leash fine and does amazing with a routine. He's a velcro dog. He's affectionate, silly, and enjoys baths. Since he's strong and excitable, he may do best in a home without small children that can be easily knocked over." Interested in adopting Jojo? Story
🐾 Meet Our Mississippi Woodland Wonders! 🐾 This beautiful litter was born deep in the Mississippi woods, where their brave mama worked hard to keep them safe. When rescuers found her, she had a collar embedded in her neck—yet despite her pain, she had lovingly cared for her puppies with all she had. Now, thanks to rescue and healing, these pups are ready for bright, happy futures. We can’t say exactly how big they’ll grow, but we estimate medium to large sized dogs once fully grown. What we can say is that they are filled with love, joy, and that irresistible puppy curiosity. ❤️ What Makes Them Special *Smart & eager to please: For their age, they catch on surprisingly quickly. *Social butterflies: They adore people, love attention, and enjoy playing with their siblings and other dogs. *Playful pups: Toys, tug-of-war, wrestling with each other—these little ones embrace fun with their whole hearts. *Mischief makers: In the most endearing way! They are curious, silly, and full of personality. ⏳ The Puppy Reality Check Puppies are wonderful—but they’re also work. These little ones will need families who are ready and committed to: *Frequent potty breaks *Socialization and lots of positive experiences *Training (which we require and will need proof of) *Feeding multiple times per day *Not leaving them alone for more than 2–3 hours at this stage *Providing structure, patience, and plenty of playtime They need time, consistency, and love—but they will give all of that right back tenfold. 🌟 Ready for Adventure These pups cannot wait to meet their forever families and be part of everything—walks, cuddles, playtime, and all of life’s little excursions. They’re ready to start making memories. If you have the time, energy, and enthusiasm to raise a happy, well-rounded dog, please apply. These sweet babies are eager to meet you and begin their new lives! 🐶💛 Apply now!!!
