He has boxer energy and sometimes other dogs take it the wrong way. We would prefer a family with breed experience -Attention all puppies will need a family committed to basic obedience training. This includes but is not limited to: House, leash, behavioral & crate training. If there is a cat in the home, it is the adopters responsibility to get them acclimated to one another. This handsome boy is a 5-year-old boxer/terrier mix, He is considered a large dog weighing in at 68 pounds; has a beautiful tan and white coat; with a low to medium energy level. Gunner is currently fostered in a home with other dogs and enjoys their company. He would make an excellent addition to a home with another dog or two or three.Gunner is a gentle giant, is very sweet and gets along well all the people he meets. He is a good-natured boy who thrives on the love and affection of humans. He is a crowd pleaser and will warm up to anyone that will give him loving attention. He gets along well with other dogs, people, and children. He has not had the opportunity to meet cats so it is unknown how accepting he would be in their company.He is leash and house trained and is putting in a lot of effort to achieve his crate training. Although it is important to remember that even though he is house trained, potty accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Iceberg is known to sleep in and snuggle up with you every chance he gets, but will gladly go for a walk and bask in the sun when asked. He is house trained and knows sit, stay, paw, leave it, and down. He walks well on a leash, however does tend to pull in the beginning due to excitement. He does well having free range of the house while at work, just sleeps through the day. No need to hide your food while eating, he will lay next to you quietly and allow you to enjoy your meal. I adopted Iceberg about two weeks ago and unfortunately he does not get along with my cat. It is heartbreaking that I have come to this conclusion and would love to find him a new loving home. He did not do well in the shelter due to stress so I would love to be able to avoid that at all costs. He would do well in a home with an experienced handler due to some unknowns of how he is around other dogs and strangers. He is an amazing dog and would be a great addition.
