Story
Vaughn is ready to discover her furever home! Vaughn came to us in a challenging state, but we've worked tirelessly to transform her into the perfect companion she is today. She's undergone several life-changing surgeries, including bilateral cherry eye surgery and bilateral entropion surgery, and has also been spayed and completed Heartworm treatment - what a triumph! Vaughn does require daily eye drops for dry eye(3x), but she's incredibly resilient. Despite potential sight issues due to her past, she's learned to adapt just fine. We estimate Vaughn is between 2-5 years old, and her unique blend of Boxer, Bulldog, and probably Pitbull heritage makes her a true gem. This stunning 55-60lb lady has overcome incredible obstacles, and her remarkable spirit shines through. Vaughn is eager to meet her forever family, and we're confident you'll fall deeply in love with her. She's thrived in social interactions with dogs, but we recommend a home without kitties or small kids. Visit wwk9rescue.com to submit an application and be a part of Vaughn's bright future! 🥰

Story
Meet Jax! An eight-year-old Boxer mix who is ready to travel anywhere for his forever family! Weighing in at a solid 70 pounds, Jax might just think he's a lap dog with his affectionate, sloppy kisses and an unwavering desire to be close to his humans. Imagine this gentle giant curled at your feet, or better yet, joining in a lively game of keep-away with gleeful children. His joy is palpable, especially when he performs his signature "jumping jax" at the mere mention of a walk! Jax has a heart full of resilience and love, ready to bring warmth to any family. Though he prefers not to be left alone for long, he’s a perfect companion when around other dogs he knows or people—even if just in another room. He adores the great outdoors, and his enthusiasm shines during playdates and adventures at the local dog park. He’s sociable with dogs of all sizes, though his recall may need a little polish—Jax is ever curious about the wildlife he encounters! Living with Jax means embracing his high-energy spirit and managing his sensitive stomach with the right diet. An enclosed yard, constant companionship, and a routine filled with walks and playtime would ensure his days are as joyful as he is. Does your home have room for a big-hearted boxer mix with a love for life? Could you be the one to keep Jax's tail wagging happily ever after? If so, please contact us at adopt@joyfulpets.com, and let's chat about the joy Jax can bring into your life! Story
Max is a 8‑year‑old bulldog with a heart that’s finally getting the chance to shine. He didn’t have the easiest start in life, but every day in the shelter he shows us just how sweet, gentle, and deserving he is. Max loves tender, patient care and would thrive with someone who can offer him the soft landing he’s been waiting for. He has lived with both dogs and cats in the past, and while he’s been a good boy with them, we’ll require a meet‑and‑greet with any resident dogs to make sure everyone feels comfortable. Before heading home, Max will be neutered, vaccinated, blood‑tested, and microchipped. This big sweetheart is ready for a fresh start and a family who will love him the way he’s always deserved. If you think that might be you, come meet Max.
