Story
Meet Sam! Sam is a three-month-old, 15-pound boxer mix who arrived at GLDR with his brother Dean. Dean has already found his forever family so let's help Sam find his happily ever after! Sam is everything a happy-go-lucky pup should be. He's full of life and love and will provide years of companionship and happy memories for one lucky family. As he's still a young man, he'll benefit from continued training, daily exercise and a yard to enjoy. Adopting a puppy is a long-term commitment that takes a-lot of patience and dedication. Sam will need a family that has the time to help mold him into the best adult dog that he can be! Based on our evaluation, Sam would do well in an active home with adults or families with kids of all ages. He may have the potential to live in a home with other pets. We are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby. If you think he could be the puppy you've been dreaming of, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application for our sensational Sam!

Story
This nice girl only wants to be close to you! Wendy is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 28 pounds. Meet Wendy, the sweetest, most adorable pup you'll ever lay eyes on! She's what we call "shmedium", not quite small, but about as small as medium gets! This cutie is a bundle of joy, with a waggy tail that will melt your heart. Wendy is for sure a people-person, she sticks to you like glue and loves nothing more than to be right by your side, snuggled up close. She's a real cuddle bug! Wendy is fun spirited and just wants to connect and engage with her people. She would love an active, fun family that loves to be with her. With her sweet nature and playful personality, Wendy is going to make such a special best friend. She would thrive in a home that can provide structure and a basic obedience refresher to go with her already perfect “sit”. Wendy would love it if you came to meet her and she'll show you just how wonderful life can be with a waggy-tailed shadow by your side! She will need a home where any children are at least 4 years old. If you are interested in Wendy and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
