Meet Navi! She is one of the KINDEST, most WELL-TEMPERED dogs you will ever meet!!! She is truly something special and sadly one of our longest residents. This delightful two year old boxer/terrier mix weighs in at around 50 pounds and is ready to steal your heart! Navi is currently getting a well-deserved break from the kennel with one of our awesome fosters! Here's what we've learned about this wonderful pup! Navi is a girl that enjoys life's simple pleasures. She is a dream on her leash, and while out on her walks, she stops to take it all in and appreciates each and every smell. When you're around this laid-back lady, you can't help but relax and enjoy yourself. Her show-stopping smile will no doubt brighten your day! Affectionate as they come, Navi has yet to meet a person she doesn't like. She is very trusting and eager to please. She truly is one of a kind! Navi has mastered her basic commands and is just waiting to show them off to you! That includes "sit", "down", and "heel". She is a bit of a grazer when it comes to her food and takes her treats very gently. She would do best in a home where she gets regular exercise. Spending time playing with her fellow dog pals in the yard is one of her favorite ways to spend her time. Navi has a fabulous way about her that is such a joy to be around. She is perfect combo of playful yet attentive, not to mention stunningly gorgeous! She is house-trained and also crate-trained. She goes into her crate on command and sleeps without a peep during the night. In the morning, she waits quietly to go out. A yard for her to unwind in would be fantastic for her! Given her amazing temperament, we feel Navi could do well in a home with adults or families with children of any age. Make sure you let us know you saw Bruno on Adopt-a-pet.*In a foster home, call for meet/greet* Talk about a lug head, this big guy was found as a stray by a vet tech who tried to find his owner. With no luck he ended up at the shelter. Bruno quickly showed us what a ham he is, he's quite the crooner too! Bruno does bark to get your attention and when he's excited. This smart pup knows sit, shake, down, he comes when called, enjoys walks (he's strong), loves to romp around the yard, loves to "fish" out of the pool, and has done well with the canine friends he's met, he will not share toys and shows some possessiveness of them. Bruno is a big boy, with a big heart, he loves everyone. We say no small children due to his size and tendency to chew up toys. If you've been looking for a a big pup that doesn't require a lot of work make sure to visit with Bruno Mars!

River is a gorgeous chocolatey sweetie! She is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 27 pounds, what a perfect little size. River was incredibly wonderful for her photo shoot, she did everything that was asked of her with many pictures to choose from, so photogenic! As a bonus, halfway through, she thought the photographer needed her neck and ear cleaned with tons of kisses! She is most content in your lap, is so gentle and affectionate with the cutest waggy tail, what a treasure she is. River can be shy and insecure though, she gets overwhelmed with a lot of noise and movement. An adopter that can help build her confidence and provide leadership would be perfect. River may have never been on a leash before either, she seemed to not know what to do, plus she was a little scared, she had to be carried in for her pictures. She will need a patient family to help her learn walks can be fun. River may do best in a calm home and any children need to be at least 8 years old due to her shy nature. If you are interested in River and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch.
