Story
Meet Sugar, the 13-year Boxer/Mastiff mix! She is a laid back, older lady who spends most of her day snoozing away. She loves getting cozy on her favorite dog beds with her stuffies by her side. Although she is quite the lazy girl most of the time, she also loves going for short walks and playing with toys when she feels like it! Sugar does well with other dogs, as long as they respect her space. She would not do well with rowdy dogs. She has great house manners and is such a sweet girl! Does Sugar sound like a good fit for your family? Reach out for an adoption application!

Story
Make sure you let us know you saw Bruno on Adopt-a-pet.*In a foster home, call for meet/greet* Talk about a lug head, this big guy was found as a stray by a vet tech who tried to find his owner. With no luck he ended up at the shelter. Bruno quickly showed us what a ham he is, he's quite the crooner too! Bruno does bark to get your attention and when he's excited. This smart pup knows sit, shake, down, he comes when called, enjoys walks (he's strong), loves to romp around the yard, loves to "fish" out of the pool, and has done well with the canine friends he's met, he will not share toys and shows some possessiveness of them. Bruno is a big boy, with a big heart, he loves everyone. We say no small children due to his size and tendency to chew up toys. If you've been looking for a a big pup that doesn't require a lot of work make sure to visit with Bruno Mars!

Story
Such a darling little pout and lots of chocolatey goodness! Gilmore is estimated to be about 18 months old and weighs 45 pounds. Gilmore is outgoing, fun spirited and loving, always leaning in for cuddles and pets. This cutie is also playful, taking joy in squeaky toys and being silly! He's such an explorer too, so curious about the world and investigating everything. We just picture him being the best fun friend anyone could ever have. Gilmore does need a little work on jumping up for attention, but he looks to you for direction and guidance, he has tons of potential. He would love an active family who likes to spend time with him and where any children are at least 4 years old. Gilmore has so much love to give, he really hopes you come to meet him soon. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Gilmore would love to meet them. He has a soft, more submissive approach with other dogs. He seems a little unsure of what to do and keeps checking in with you. If you are interested in Gilmore and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

**Tyson is in a foster home and not at the kennel. Please apply at k9stray.com if interested in discussing Tyson further** Meet Tyson, an amazing boy with a big heart and lots of love to give! He is estimated to be about 6 years old and weighs 66 pounds. Tyson is such a friendly and playful pup with the most squishable big head and an adorable, attentive personality. He's people-oriented and intelligent, greeting you with his cute little waggy nubbin tail, there is nothing that will make you smile more! Tyson is great at picking up new commands too and already knows the basics like "sit", "wait", and "shake". He loves nothing more than a good cuddle and always wants to be by your side. Tyson is also very in tune with his handler and looking for leadership. An experienced adopter who knows how to instill leadership is just what he needs and a home where any children are at least 8 years old. Although he may be on the bigger side, this sweetie is a gentle giant who just wants to have a family of his own to love and to love him back. One of our wonderful volunteers took Tyson home to foster him over the weekend, she found out so much about him: People friendly and very polite Dog friendly Did so well for potty, no accidents in the house Not crate trained (busts out of crate) Not destructive if left out unattended Loves the sprinkler Loves to sleep near you(or with you) Is part human and lays head on pillow Seems to understand English well Know sit, paw ,wait, where’s your bone?, outside? Loves car rides Loves treats. Seems to know his name Loves toys: bones, balls, stuffies and squeakers Greets guests nicely Pulls a bit on the leash but not too bad If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Tyson would love to meet them. He has an intense but friendly approach with other dogs and seems to have solid dog to dog skills. He may be a rough player but likes to check in with you. If you are interested in Tyson and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying.
