Through no fault of his own, this happy guy is back looking for a family to call his own. Per previous owner: Jack is potty trained (uses bells!) and crate trained, and he’s good with kids and other dogs. He loves car rides, running and exploring at the park, meeting new people, learning new commands, and—of course—snuggling with his favorite people. He’s also a big fan of bully sticks and absolutely loves agility-style dog parks where he can climb, explore, and show off his goofy side! Jack is an enthusiastic guy and can be a jumper because he’s so excited to see you—and yes, he loves giving kisses! His new family will want to help him channel that excitement into good manners. Sweet Mara and her playful spirit, she is so fun! She is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 40 pounds. Although Mara has spent more than her fair share in a rescue environment, she has maintained a happy, optimistic attitude, and makes the most of her play time. When first meeting her, she may come across as not very connecting, but that’s only because BALL IS LIFE! Balls are her stress reliever, and she takes it very seriously! Be patient, she is more than happy to show you her favorite ball and sit in your lap with it. She is also happy to entertain herself if you’re busy, so if a needy dog is not your thing, she’s your girl! Either way, you can’t help but feel her joy when watching her play! Mara is great riding in the car and ready for whatever fun adventure you would like to do next! She is dreaming of a loving, forever home. Mara would like it if you came to meet her, she can't wait for a family to love her. She will need a home where any children are at least 13 years old. Mara does not mind other dogs but lacks experience with them, which leaves her with an approach that other dogs may find “rude”, so she is probably best as the only dog. Plus, another dog would never be allowed to keep a ball! One of our wonderful volunteers took Mara on a nice adventure, to a fun weekly Paws Plus training class where she was thriving and soaking up all the knowledge she could! As you can see from her video, she is so smart and wants to learn. She has already learned the following commands: sit, down, stay, watch me, place, bow, circle. She is working on "leave it". Oh my, Rue has the cutest underbite and pout ever! She is estimated to be about a year old and is a petite little cutie weighing 21 pounds right now, but she does need to gain just a few pounds which we are working on. Meet Rue, when we say she is the sweetest little muffin, boy, do we mean it! And this adorable sweetheart is just waiting to find her forever home and a family to love. She may be a bit timid at first, but when she feels safe, she will crawl in your lap to soak up all the love she can. Rue has more of a submissive, wants to please personality and is truly such a treasure. She craves affection and reassurance, and with some patience and confidence building, she will just blossom. Rue is very food motivated, so using her favorite snacks is a great way to build trust. Although she’s a tiny girl, her heart is enormous and ready to fill your home with love. She will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old with her shy nature. Rue would just love it if you came to meet her, we believe you will instantly fall in love! If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Rue would love to meet them. She does crouch and is a little unsure, but open to the other dog's approach. Rue moves to a low tail wag/submissive posture and seems to be interested but no interaction. May open up with time and most likely will gain confidence from another dog in the home.
