Story
Meet Harley! GLDR LONGEST RESIDENT!! LOVES ALL PEOPLE & KIDS! LOOKING FOR A FOSTER FOR OUR DARLING GIRL! This adorable boxer babe is three years old and weighs in around 60 pounds. She is eagerly awaiting a family that will love her for the wonderful pup she is! Harley enjoyed a nice week away, but sadly is back at the kennel, still dreaming of the day her forever family comes to take her home. Always out to impress, she is both crate-trained and house-trained! A bright and eager learner, Harley is ready to show off her skills! She knows commands like sit, down, shake, and off! With the help of high-value treats, she's ready to learn even more! When it comes time to play, she is ready and willing to have a good time! She likes her stuffed toys and enjoys chasing a ball. Playing tug is her favorite! A fenced in yard for her to romp in is a must for this fun-loving pup! Harley enjoys going for walks and does best when harnessed. Up for exploring? She rides well in the car and is ready to join you on all of your adventures! At the end of a fun-filled day, Harley is perfectly content to spend her day lounging inside with her people. She enjoys snuggling in with cozy blankets on her favorite spot on the couch. She sleeps quietly through the night, grateful for foster family and hopeful her forever family will soon come her way. Based on our evaluation, Harley would do best in an active home with adults or families with kids ages eight and up. She has lived with kids before and adores them! Although Harley is dog selective, we feel she would do best as the only animal in the home. She needs an experienced adopter who is ready to train her and form a lifelong bond. If you think you could be the family to give Harley the forever home she deserves, please visit greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application today!

Story
Make sure you let us know you saw Bren on Adopt-a-pet. At 13.5 years old, Bren has found herself as one of the many unclaimed strays here at the shelter. Given her age, this is especially heartbreaking as she deserves the softest blankets, the most delicious food, and an owner that adores her. A Boxer mix, she still has a little pep in her step, and a whole lot of love to give. We want all the best for Bren so we want for her to be the only pet and we're hoping for a fenced yard too. P.S. Bren did have a lipoma mass removed on the R side of her rib area on 10/11. She will need to have a re-check 14 days from that date. *Bren is not accepting of other dogs or cats. We're not sure what she's experienced in her past life that has turned her off from them, but at this stage, she deserves to relax and enjoy the rest of her life the way she prefers.

Story
🩵Meet Phil – The Sweetest Little Survivor!🩵 Phil is a five-month-old mystery mix (maybe Boxer, maybe Pitty, maybe just 100% adorable) with a heart as big as his feet! Weighing in at 21 pounds. This little guy has been through so much, but you’d never know it—his tail never stops wagging! Phil’s Greatest Hits: ✔️ Nap Champion – Snoozing is his superpower. ✔️ Nighttime Pro – Sleeps soundly through the night. ✔️ Crate Trained – Can be left alone for up to six hours with no accidents. ✔️ Kiddo Approved – Loves children and all the cuddles they bring. ✔️ Toy Rookie – Learning the art of play one chew at a time. ✔️ Lick Machine – His love language is kisses (just ask our oldest dog!). ✔️ Chill Vibes Only – Somehow skipped the teething stage altogether. ✔️ Netflix & Snuggle Enthusiast – Your perfect binge-watching buddy. ✔️ Food Lover – Because, honestly, who isn’t? ✔️ Smart Cookie – Has already learned sit! ✔️ Healthy Pup – Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. ✔️ Gentle Soul – No food aggression, no reactivity—he wouldn’t hurt a fly Phil had a tough beginning, spending his early life in a cold, dark basement. Because of that, he’s still adjusting to new sights and sounds—cars, barking dogs, and unfamiliar places can make him a little nervous. But he’s a brave boy, walks well on a leash, and is learning that the world isn’t so scary after all. Despite everything, Phil doesn’t hold a grudge—he LOVES people and their laps and is ready to give his whole heart to a family that will love him back. His sweet, unique face might not always show his emotions, but trust us—this pup is pure joy. Oh, and in case you’re wondering—yes, Phil is extra special… he’s missing one toenail! But don’t worry, it doesn’t slow him down one bit. Phil is looking for a family that will be patient as he continues learning that the world is a safe and loving place. He’d thrive with a family who can give him gentle guidance, lots of snuggles, and plenty of treats. Ready to meet him and fall in love? Apply at underdogrescueranch.com/adopt
