Story
Moe is a four year old boxer husky mix. He is an extremely sweet boy. He can be a little skiddish at first but once he warms up he loves people. With that being said, Moe is definitely a dog that does not respond well to punishment. He only responds to postive feedback. He is a medium energy dog when he’s playing outside, but also loves to be inside and cuddle with his human. He is more than willing to lay right next to you on the couch all night. He’ll pretend he’s a lap dog if you let him. He loves to play and cuddle with other dogs and does great with children. He is a sweet and loving boy who deserves more time than we can give him.

Story
Meet Sadie! 🤎🐾 Sadie is a lovable Pittie/Boxer mix who's everything you'd hope for in a best friend. She's affectionate, playful, simply a joy to be around. She has done well with kids and enjoys being part of the fun, making her a wonderful companion for an active family. She is bonded with her sister Molly and they must be adopted together, which means you get twice the love and twice the fun! Sadie may not be the best fit for a home with cats, as she has shown great interest in cats, but there is the possibility with a slow introduction she may be able to live with a cat. If you're looking for a sweet, well-rounded dog with lots of love to give, Sadie is ready to meet you!

Story
Meet Molly! Molly is a playful girl with a big personality and an even bigger zest for life! She loves to run, play, and make the most of every adventure, and she's always ready for fun with her favorite people. Molly would thrive with an active family that can match her energy and continue helping her learn good manners. She may not be the best fit for a home with cats, and should have a meet and greet with the whole family to see if it's a good fit. Molly is bonded with her sister Sadie, so they must be adopted together. This means as an adopter you get twice the love and twice the fun! If you're looking for a fun-loving companion who will keep you smiling and join you on all of life's adventures, Molly is ready to meet you!

Story
Sweet Mara only wants to be close! She is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 35 pounds. Meet Mara, she is such a pretty girl with a fun, playful spirit! She is a bundle of affection, so connecting and looking to please her people. Mara is all loose and wiggly, and she loves to be close, whether that's snuggling on the couch or playing a game of fetch with her favorite tennis ball. She will happily bring the ball back to you and politely relinquish it for the next throw - what a good girl! Mara also adores soft toys and is highly trainable, already mastering the 'sit' command like a pro. She is always so darn happy, is great riding in the car and ready for whatever you would like to do. She is dreaming of a loving, forever home. Mara would like it if you came to meet her, she can't wait for a family to love her. She will need a home where any children are at least 13 years old. One of our wonderful volunteers took Mara on a nice adventure, to a fun weekly Paws Plus training class where she was thriving and soaking up all the knowledge she could! As you can see from her video (you can watch it on her Petfinder profile), she is so smart and wants to learn. She has already learned the following commands: sit, down, stay, watch me, place, bow, circle. She is working on "leave it". If you are interested in Mara and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
STAR is a foster-based rescue. All our rescue animals stay in foster homes until adoption. We do not have a central facility. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  Hi! I was born 3/2/26 and I’m one of a litter of 11 puppies! Our sweet momma took such good care of us. We are guessed to be a mix of Pit Bull and Catahoula Leopard Dog, which explains all of our fun colors and unique patterns! I’m currently looking for my forever home and my foster mom says I’m extra special because she thinks I may be deaf. But she also says that doesn’t make me any less amazing — it just means I experience the world a little differently, and someone out there is still going to love me exactly as I am. I’m a very happy, playful girl who loves everyone I meet! I get along great with cats, kids, and other dogs. I’m outgoing, confident, and full of personality — honestly, you probably wouldn’t even know there’s anything different about me! My adoption fee includes: • Age-appropriate vetting and vaccines • Flea/tick/heartworm prevention • Dewormings since 2 weeks old • Starter food • Collar & leash • Treats and a toy If you have questions about me, please email heather@savingtailsanimalrescue.org All STAR animals come vetted, Up to Date (UTD) on age appropriate shots and testing, spay and neutered (if of age,) and microchipped. AGE DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately, most of the orphaned animals that come into our rescue looking for homes don’t bring birth certificates. Sometimes we know our pets’ ages. Sometimes we don’t. So we make our best guess based on the condition of their teeth and the veterinarians best guess.   BREED DISCLAIMER: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label . Microchips: For the safety of our dogs and peace of mind of our fosters and adopters, STAR microchips all dogs prior to adoption with Petlink Microchips. Please understand that all dogs MUST still wear a collar with ID tags (which include your current information) AT ALL TIMES. Please remember, our foster dogs are extremely important to us-- we will always take any of our dogs back, if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog. Never surrender him/her to a shelter! STAR is a foster-based rescue. All our rescue animals stay in foster homes until adoption. We do not have a central facility. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  ✨ Meet Cream Soda — The Happiest Little Pittie Around ✨ Hi! I’m Cream Soda, a petite pitty with a BIG smile and an even bigger heart. I may be missing an ear (adds character, if you ask me), but I didn’t lose an ounce of joy — I’m truly one of the happiest, most loving little girls you’ll ever meet. I adore everyone. Kids, adults, tall people, tiny people — if you have hands for pets, I’m in. I’m gentle, affectionate, and love being close to my people. Cuddling is one of my favorite hobbies, right up there with snack time. Speaking of snacks… YES PLEASE. I absolutely love treats, take them very nicely, and am always polite and eager. Snack time is serious business, but I handle it like a lady. Cream Soda didn’t get her Christmas wish this year, but maybe she’s meant for something even better… a New Year’s resolution family? One who’s ready to spoil her, snuggle her, and give her the forever home she so deeply deserves. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, joyful companion who will love you with her whole heart — Cream Soda is waiting. Make 2026 the year Cream Soda finally gets her happily ever after. Apply to adopt and meet this little ray of sunshine. All STAR animals come vetted, Up to Date (UTD) on age appropriate shots and testing, spay and neutered (if of age,) and microchipped.
