Story
Meet Sugar, the 13-year Boxer/Mastiff mix! She is a laid back, older lady who spends most of her day snoozing away. She loves getting cozy on her favorite dog beds with her stuffies by her side. Although she is quite the lazy girl most of the time, she also loves going for short walks and playing with toys when she feels like it! Sugar does well with other dogs, as long as they respect her space. She would not do well with rowdy dogs. She has great house manners and is such a sweet girl! Does Sugar sound like a good fit for your family? Reach out for an adoption application!

Story
Available to Adopt - SamsonCHECK OUT HIS NEW BIO! Current location - Near Chicago Samson needs a hero. He hopes for someone to share his love with. It's that simple. He is sweet and mellow, and we really cannot understand why someone hasn't snatched up this goodest of boys yet. Sammy loves his people and doesn't discriminate as to age. He will bond tightly, but not in a weird, scary way.  Does he love other animals? Well, we can't really say. He probably doesn't care for cats or other small critters. The curiosity is just a little high. Other dogs? He's been interested, but non-reactive, when he sees them on walks. With another low-key, non-reactive dog, he might be ok, or he might be just fine in being an only pet, that could tolerate others that visit. One thing is certain, this most handsome boy needs his own home and people he can call his family. Samson loves to go on leisurely walks. He is one who likes to stop and take a good roll in the grass, and also enjoys observing everything around hm. He's a very easy boy to be around, even when visitors stop in. If he's in the mood, he might even engage you in a good game of fetch. Regardless, you'll need a full toy box. Sammy is working on his crate training skills. He is progressing well and moving forward. He is able to stay in the house by himself as long as he is not trapped in a room and cannot determine how to escape. He is, however, a refined gentleman who likes some calm background music when he's alone to keep him company. He does really hope that his family can be with him more often than not. Occasional alone time is ok, but he really hopes it won't be the 'norm'.  Can you be the home our sweet boy is looking for? ##794406##

Story
STAR is a foster-based rescue. All our rescue animals stay in foster homes until adoption. We do not have a central facility. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  Hi! My name is Gnocchi and I'm an extra special boy! My foster mom saved me from being euthanized at an over crowded shelter.  I already know the commands "SIT" "SHAKE" and "DOWN". I love other dogs and I LIVE for playing with stuffed toys! They are my favorite thing in this whole wide world! I especially love squeaky toys! I don't try to escape or dig out of my fenced in yard. I would prefer to have a fenced yard instead of a tie out because they freak me out a little bit, though I'm not afraid of loud noises and my foster mom says I'm a joy to have around and she is really going to miss me when I find me "forever family." If you think that you could be his person, please fill out an application. Thank you! Love, Gnocchi. If you have questions about me you can email my foster mom at heather@savingtailsanimalrescue.org All STAR animals come vetted, Up to Date (UTD) on age appropriate shots and testing, spay and neutered (if of age,) and microchipped. AGE DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately, most of the orphaned animals that come into our rescue looking for homes don’t bring birth certificates. Sometimes we know our pets’ ages. Sometimes we don’t. So we make our best guess based on the condition of their teeth and the veterinarians best guess.   BREED DISCLAIMER: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label . Microchips: For the safety of our dogs and peace of mind of our fosters and adopters, STAR microchips all dogs prior to adoption with Petlink Microchips. Please understand that all dogs MUST still wear a collar with ID tags (which include your current information) AT ALL TIMES. Please remember, our foster dogs are extremely important to us-- we will always take any of our dogs back, if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog. Never surrender him/her to a shelter! If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  Hi! My name is Tsunami, but you can call me Tzu Tzu! I am the HAPPIEST girl ever - my tail never stops wagging! I love everyone that I meet. I would love an active family that would take me for walks or hikes - maybe even a jogging buddy would be great! I LOVE snacks and I've never guarded my food or toys. I would love a family with considerate kids. If you would like to know more about me or meet me, please fill out an application or email my foster mom heather@savingtailsanimalrescue.org I sleep in my crate at night and haven;t had any accidents in there. My foster mom says she cant help but smile when I'm around. I know how to SIT on command really good, especially when there is a snack or meal at stake! If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application ASAP or email my foster mom at heather@savingtailsanimalrescue.org My adoption fee has been sponsored, and I come with a leash, collar, treat, toys, food, crate and all sorts of other goodies as well. Im up to date on all my vetting, already spayed and microchipped! I look forward to meeting you! Story
STAR is a foster-based rescue. All our rescue animals stay in foster homes until adoption. We do not have a central facility. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  Hi! My name is Ivy! I am looking for a forever home of my very own, I heard they are the best! I love everyone I meet and I'm a happy girl! I am very smart and eager to please. My foster mom says I love to sleep in the silliest positions.  She's sweet and funny, knows sit, down, potty trained. She's amazing on a leash, great in vehicles and so lovey!!! She's just an all around wonderful girl!!!   I am selective with my doggy friends - I prefer calm, & respectful dogs and am not tolerant of rude or obnoxious dogs.   I haven't met a cat yet.   I love kids, but I sometimes don't know my size so I would be best with older, dog saavy children. I may look a little bit different because I have a cleft lip, but it's not a cleft palate though, so it doesn't affect me one bit other than making me EXTRA cute! If you are interested in fostering me to help me find my forever home, please reach out because my current mom is experiencing some major health complications and it would greatly help us both. If you foster, all supplies and expenses are covered by the rescue. I am completely up to date on all my vetting, spayed and microchipped. I would come with some food, leash, collar, treat, toys and some other goodies. Thank you! I cant wait to meet you!
