Story
Meet your future best friend, Fred 🐾✨ This puppy is a perfect bundle of energy, curiosity, and irresistible cuteness—but like all puppies, Fred is still learning how to be the best dog possible. Continued basic training will be needed, including leash skills, crate training, potty training, and everyday manners. With a growing body and a busy brain, puppies need structure, enrichment, and positive outlets for energy to prevent overstimulation, mouthiness, or the development of unwanted habits. A home committed to consistency, patience, and mental and physical exercise will help Fred grow into a confident, well-balanced adult dog. With the right foundation, the possibilities are endless! 💛🐶 -Around 2.5 months old -Currently under 30lbs -Good with kids, cats and dogs -Adoption fee: $400 To inquire about this dog, please email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com. Include information about your family and pets, what you are looking for in a canine companion, how you plan to exercise and train this dog, and why this specific dog seems like a good fit for your family. Those who provide the previous information will be considered first for this canine. Please do NOT call our center. This will help us match you and the animal the best we can. We usually respond via email within 24-48 hours; please check your spam folder if you don't hear from us. Dog adoption fees include spay/neuter, rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), distemper/parvo combination vaccine, leptospirosis vaccine (if age-appropriate), bordetella vaccine, deworming, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea preventative, a dental cleaning (if necessary), and a microchip. Story
Hubert is dreamy, the way he looks at you! This handsome pup is estimated to be about 3 years old and weighs 41 pounds. Meet Hubert, a sweet boy with the waggiest tail! His cute and curious nature will win your heart, and his big, soft eyes will melt any worries away. Even though we fear he may have been left outside a lot based on how bad the fly bite scars were on his ears, Hubert is still so connecting with a playful spirit and a silly side that's so fun to watch, especially when you get the toys out! His ears look so much better now too with all the love and care he is getting. He is looking for a leader to help build his confidence and an active family who likes to go for walks, play or maybe go on fun adventures, Hubert would love that! Could you be the one to give this adorable boy the happiness he deserves, with an actual home to be inside and cuddling with his forever family? Hubert would like it if you came to meet him, he can’t wait for a family to love. He will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old. Hubert seems very drawn to school age kids. He has a cute, full, loose body wag and is very engaged with them. He was our representative for a PEAS (Pan Equus Animal Sanctuary) event, they are just down the street from us and he did great! Hubert was open and friendly to visitors of all ages, we were so proud of him! If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Hubert would love to meet them. He has a bouncy, loose approach with other dogs with an "all in" play style. If you are interested in Hubert and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.* *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. ***Lavender is in a foster home, so she is not at the kennel. If you are interested in her, please fill out the application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch. Thank you.*** Hi there! My name is Lavender, and I'm so excited to find my family. I'm a gorgeous, loving girl who is so sweet, you'll fall in love with me instantly! I am about 2 years old and weigh 31 pounds. I love to be close to you and receive lots of affection. Be it through cuddles or just spending time together, I'm a true sweet soul who craves closeness. Everyone tells me I am such a well-mannered, sweet girl with the cutest little white paws. I can be a little shy at first though and hesitant of new things. With quick, sudden movements I may cower, but then I seek you out for comfort and reassurance. I can be submissive too, but with an experienced leader I can rely on, I know I can get over my hurdles. My adopter needs to have the time and patience to help build my trust and confidence, but I will be so worth it. I just know I will make such an awesome best friend. I am just brimming with love and affection and can’t wait to give it all to a family. I make everyone at the rescue laugh, I love to carry something around in my mouth and it seems to make me all wiggly and I love to show it to you, it makes me so proud. If it is a tennis ball, all the better! I will need a home where any children are calm, respectful and at least 4 years old though with my shy nature. If you have another nice doggy sibling, I would love to meet them. I do super cute playbows and have a nice balanced play style. Oh, I almost forgot, I love to sneak up in your lap, so I hope my new family is ok with that and having lots of snuggle time! I sure hope you come and meet me soon. I don't know why, but I don't care for cats though, so no kitties for me! If you are interested in Lavender and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. STAR is a foster-based rescue. All our rescue animals stay in foster homes until adoption. We do not have a central facility. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  &#226&#156&#168 Meet Cream Soda — The Happiest Little Pittie Around &#226&#156&#168 Hi! I’m Cream Soda, a petite pitty with a BIG smile and an even bigger heart. I may be missing an ear (adds character, if you ask me), but I didn’t lose an ounce of joy — I’m truly one of the happiest, most loving little girls you’ll ever meet. I adore everyone. Kids, adults, tall people, tiny people — if you have hands for pets, I’m in. I’m gentle, affectionate, and love being close to my people. Cuddling is one of my favorite hobbies, right up there with snack time. Speaking of snacks… YES PLEASE. I absolutely love treats, take them very nicely, and am always polite and eager. Snack time is serious business, but I handle it like a lady. Cream Soda didn’t get her Christmas wish this year, but maybe she’s meant for something even better… a New Year’s resolution family? One who’s ready to spoil her, snuggle her, and give her the forever home she so deeply deserves. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, joyful companion who will love you with her whole heart — Cream Soda is waiting. Make 2026 the year Cream Soda finally gets her happily ever after. Apply to adopt and meet this little ray of sunshine. All STAR animals come vetted, Up to Date (UTD) on age appropriate shots and testing, spay and neutered (if of age,) and microchipped. AGE DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately, most of the orphaned animals that come into our rescue looking for homes don’t bring birth certificates. Sometimes we know our pets’ ages. Sometimes we don’t. So we make our best guess based on the condition of their teeth and the veterinarians best guess.   BREED DISCLAIMER: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label . Microchips: For the safety of our dogs and peace of mind of our fosters and adopters, STAR microchips all dogs prior to adoption with Petlink Microchips. Please understand that all dogs MUST still wear a collar with ID tags (which include your current information) AT ALL TIMES. Please remember, our foster dogs are extremely important to us-- we will always take any of our dogs back, if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog. Never surrender him/her to a shelter! I’ll proudly carry one around like a prized possession and settle in for a good chew session. Toys and bones keep me busy and very content. I’m a total sweetheart who enjoys being near my people and would do great with an active family that enjoys walks, playtime, and adventures. I haven’t officially lived with other dogs or cats yet, but I’m not overly reactive and could do well with proper introductions.
