FloJo is sweet, lively, and playful and loves to chase balls in the yard. She is treat motivated and a sucker for a good belly rub, a surefire way to win her affection. FloJo knows basic commands and also knows how to speak when prompted, how to lay down for her food and she will go to the door when she needs an outside potty break. Flojo is good with children. She would thrive most as the only dog in the family. She is leash trained and remains calm when she sees other dogs. FloJo is three years old and weighs 88 lbs. Story
Willow is a confident and sometimes bossy little girl looking for her forever home. She is a boxer and unknown mix puppy and currently weighs 20 pounds.  Most of her features look mostly boxer and she is definitely boxer smart. She can figure out a way to get to whatever she wants.  She is potty and crate trained.  She would do best in a home with another dog who can match her energy level. Willow has an abundance of energy and would love to have a fenced yard or an active family. She is at home in the back yard and will sunbath for hours if you let her.  Willow is currently working on her leash skills but will need ongoing training to learn proper leash manners. Willow is ready for adoption and would love to be the large and in charge little sister in your family.  Willow and her sibling (Spruce) came from the Southeast, MO from the bootheel area. If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Our $295 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
Meet Weston    Looking for a loyal shadow who will love you with his whole heart? Weston is your guy.   This sweet, affectionate boy loves being close to his people. He'll happily lean in for hugs, rest his head in your lap, and follow you from room to room as your devoted sidekick.   Weston is at the tail end of puppyhood, so you get the best of both worlds: he's fully potty trained but still has that fun, playful energy. He enjoys walks, chasing a ball in the yard, and relaxing nearby while his people work or watch TV. He sleeps soundly all night next to his people and can be left home alone for a few hours without any trouble.   Weston can be a little cautious with new people and new places, but once he trusts you, he's incredibly loving and loyal.   He enjoys other dogs but does best with clear boundaries around food, toys, and high-energy play. Because of this, he'd thrive either as the only dog in the home or with a calm, compatible canine companion. Weston would do best in a home with older children.   His ideal family is looking for more than a pet — they're looking for a best friend. If that's you, Weston is ready to love you for life.   If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. What are you waiting for? Apply today! Click here to apply for the pet Looking for a guard dog? Nino takes his genetics seriously. He’s a stunner! A combination of several mastiff breeds as well as boxer, rottweiler and german shepherd - Nino does not mess around about his property and people. Nino has worked hard over the last 8 months on seeing strangers at a distance without feeling defensive but he does need continued support and the right environment to call home. His behavior is all guard dog - so expect barking if a stranger is at the door or outside of your fence. At home with his family he’s a sweet boy but still energetic and working on proper manners. He cuddles well and likes affection. Nino also likes to run around the house with your socks and shoes, but doesn’t chew them up. He just likes to carry things. He is dog friendly with males and females - even has an 8lb best friend. Nino loves to play tug of war with people and play with the other dogs in the house, and otherwise will lay and chew a bone or sunbathe. If you’re looking for a dog to make you feel safe while cuddling in your bed, Nino might be for you! He's crate-trained and housebroken. Up-to-date on his shots and neutered.
