Story
Hi! My name is Raspberry Beret! I'm a 2 year old, happy-go-lucky Pitbull mix. My foster Mom tells me I'm a shy but sweet, eager to please girl that loves to PLAY, so I NEED another large active dog in my new home!   I also love playing with toys and chewing on nylabones, but I REALLY love running through the back yard. I get along with my 4-legged foster siblings, and I would do best with a submissive, tolerant male dog that really enjoys playing. I really need a similar size very active dog in the home. Due to my activity level, I'm too much for a smaller dog. I'm a young lady with a LOT of energy to burn and need a back yard in my forever home or a very active person that likes to walk or hike on a regular basis. And I can jump really high so a 6 foot fence would be ideal. I'm also potty trained and after a day of play I do good in my crate at night and actually prefer to sleep in the crate, keeps me out of trouble.    Did I mention that I love to play!?! But what I love most is SNUGGLING (after we've gotten to know each other of course!)!     I would love to become the newest member of a family that will include me in their activities. If you like snuggling after going on new adventures together, fill out an application and my foster Mom will contact you so we can meet! If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Raspberry Beret’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
Eichel, is a very handsome boy!  He is a young Aussie / Shepherd / Boxer mix, about 70#.    He loves to play and eat and he’s very well mannered.  He loves his people, but would also love to have an active furry friend.  His favorite time of the day is EVERY morning.  He would love to spend his mornings with his new forever family. Eichel would do best with a similar sized doggie companion.   Not sure about cats or kids/small children.   Eichel has recently graduated from the 12 Week Puppies for Parole training program offered through the Mo Department of Corrections.  While in training he was taught basic obedience and socialization skills and learned to be a good canine citizen.   If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Story
“Meet Weston, the ultimate cuddle bug with a heart that’s all in. If you’re looking for a devoted, affectionate companion who believes love can never be overdone, Weston might just be your perfect match. This sweet boy came from a rural shelter and is now experiencing the world with fresh eyes, ready to soak up all the love and safety a real home can offer. He’s a world-class snuggler who thinks the best place to be is right on top of his person. If physical touch is your love language, Weston speaks it fluently. Weston is just past the puppy stage, likely a little over a year old, and he’s already mastered the basics like potty training. He still carries that joyful, romping energy of adolescence and is working hard on making good choices about what not to chew, though he’ll tell you that tissues in the trash are practically irresistible. A variety of toys and some gentle redirection go a long way with him. He’s a fast learner who wants nothing more than to make his person proud. Weston looks to his human for approval and reassurance, and that deep bond is one of his most special qualities. Once he chooses you, he chooses you with his whole heart. Weston is very timid with new people and new sounds. He startles easily at things like loud noises or unfamiliar sights. But treats, patience, and time help him open up. On walks, he’s gaining confidence every day. He loves the adventure of being outside — chasing squirrels, exploring new smells — even if some things still spook him. Because he’s had difficulty safely sharing food and toys with other dogs, Weston will do best as the only dog in his home. He’s also a bit anxious when his person leaves, but peanut butter Kongs are his go-to comfort item and help him settle. He’s great in a fenced yard and unfazed by barking neighbor dogs. He’d be equally happy in an apartment, as long as he has a chance to burn off his puppy energy with playtime and walks. He loves to chase balls, even if he hasn’t quite figured out the “bring it back” part yet. Weston is looking for a quiet, patient home with people who understand that shy, sensitive dogs blossom with love and consistency. In return, he will give you unwavering devotion, endless cuddles, and the kind of companionship that fills your days with warmth. Loving Weston is incredibly rewarding, and he’s ready to give his whole heart to someone who will cherish him right back.”   If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Story
Meet Nash Bridges – Your Snuggle-Approved Best Friend! Looking for a laid-back, affectionate pup who thrives on love? Meet Nash Bridges, a sweet, easygoing 9-year-old dog with a heart as big as his need for snuggles. Great with kids – Loves snuggles and gentle hugs. Loves women – The perfect Netflix and Chill partner. Warms up to men – Just give him a little time and a few treats, and you’ll be best buds. Housebroken & crate trained – A well-mannered gentleman. Chill personality – More into Netflix marathons than actual marathons. Low exercise needs – A short daily walk and he’s good to go. Affection expert – Requires at least a few hugs a day to avoid dramatic sighing and soulful stares. Prefers to be the only dog – He’s all about people and isn’t a fan of sharing the spotlight with other pups. If you’re looking for a sweet, low-maintenance cuddlebug with just a touch of diva energy, Nash is your perfect match! Nash knows basic commands and is crate trained. He's got just enough spunk, but is well past the annoying puppy stage.  He can be left out in the house, or if you have a crate just point and he'll go right in. If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
