Meet Fred: 85 Pounds of LOVE Fred is a 1-2 year old, 85-pound Boxer/Pitbull Mix (per his dna test!) He’s smart, affectionate, goofy, and eager to please, and he’ll do just about anything for a piece of cheese. He’s also still growing into his big frame and occasionally forgets he isn’t a lap dog. What Fred knows -Potty & crate trained -Sit, down, and stay -Roll over (on soft surfaces only; he has standards) -Leash manners are a work in progress. He’s learning that walks are a team effort. Fred is extremely food motivated, which makes training easy. (Did we mention, cheese works especially well?!) Fred’s ideal home would not include cats or small critters, please. But he does GREAT with dogs his size or larger, including his foster brother George, who is nearly twice his size. Fred lives with three kids (ages 11, 16, and 16) and is doing wonderfully. Because he’s big and can be clumsy with his size, a home with children over 10 is the best fit. Fred isn’t looking for perfection, just a family who appreciates a big personality and an even bigger heart. Fred is available for adoption through Buffalo Underdogs Rescue. Please share Fred. Dorella is a gorgeous 3½-month-old Boxer/Shepherd mix with a beautiful brindle coat that really makes her stand out! Her mom was a medium-sized Shepherd mix, and dad is a mystery, so we're expecting Dorella to be somewhere in the medium-sized range when she's all grown up. Dorella is still just a baby with a whole lot of growing and learning ahead of her. She's at that fun puppy age where everything is new, and she'll need a family ready for all the adventures (and occasional puppy mischief!) that come with raising a youngster. With those beautiful brindle markings, she's certainly a little head-turner! Now she just needs someone to give her a home of her own. Gus is a handsome 7-month-old, medium-sized Boxer mix with a beautiful cream-and-black coat. He currently weighs about 36 pounds. Gus came into rescue after a local school reached out for help when he was found wandering in the schoolyard, and we're so glad they did! He's a sweet, friendly boy who absolutely loves people and is always happy to get some attention and affection. Gus loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine buddy to play with! He also gets along with cats, making him a great candidate for a home with other pets. At just 7 months old, Gus is still a puppy with plenty of growing and learning to do. He's ready for a family of his own, some fun adventures, and a comfy place to call home. He has that serious, grown-up expression, but underneath it all, he's just a sweet little puppy. Teco is a very friendly boy who loves attention and is ready to find a family of his own. We adopted Bubba from the spca. He’s 11 months old and loves to snuggle and play! His favorite toys are tugs and nylabones. He loves people, is really close to being 100% potty trained and knows basic commands (sit, paw, leave it) pretty well. He is crate trained and loves to sleep in a sweater throughout the night. He allows nail filing with a little encouragement of treats and loves walking in the shower! He doesn’t love a full sized pool but enjoys a kiddie pool on a hot summer day and takes baths without a problem. We need to re home because he is not good with our cats. He loves our other dog but can be aggressive with stranger dogs. We’ve found he can be good with other dogs when given a slow proper introduction. He started with treat training and is now using an e collar and we’ve seen big improvements!We’ve think he would do best in a house where he’d be the only pet or possibly with 1 dog that is larger than him. He should not be in a home with cats.
