Story
SadiePossible Breed- Boxer/ Pit mix2 yrsFemaleAbout 50 lbsSpayedHappy to introduce this beautiful and enthusiastic girl !!Sadie is a very energetic , fun loving pup. She is super affectionate and just loves her people .She will need a home that can provide this leggy girl a lot of excercise and activity .She needs a little help improving her leash skills as she still tends to pull quite a bit . She’s just so excited to explore everything new !She is a very intelligent dog and consistent attention and training will benefit her tremendously .Sadie is reactive towards other dogs so should be the only pet in the home .She LOVES her toys and she will play fetch for hours . Nothing excites her more .Those long legs are made for jumping and she is learning not to jump up on people .She is not afraid of jumping a 6 foot fence . She should not be left alone outside as she could possibly visit your neighbors for afternoon tea!So it’s best to keep her on a tie out and she will be happy as can be .Sadie is housebroken and crate trained , but it’s good to expect an adjustment period.Sadie is patiently waiting for her forever family . She has so much love to give and her sweet and fun personality will warm your heart . (1)  ##2311506##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Minnie – Over a YEAR of Love, Growth, and Cuddles! Hi there, I’m Minnie! It’s been over a year since my foster parents found me—lost, lonely, and hungry on the streets of Buffalo. Since then, I’ve come a long way, and they’ve learned so much about who I truly am: a snuggly, kissy, happy girl with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life! &#226&#156&#168 Here’s what they’ve discovered about me: I’m full of energy and joy but also the best napping buddy. I love to curl up and relax with my people. I didn’t even know what kibble was at first, but now I enjoy my meals and snacks—especially veggies, pumpkin, apples, and tasty treats! I’m potty trained! It took a little time, but I’ve nailed it now. I love walks, playing with my flirt pole, doing puzzles for treats, and working on training. I’ve even completed a 7-week training course to help me feel more confident around other dogs! I know lots of commands like sit, come inside, leave it, crate, come up, lay down, and find my bone. I might need an occasional reminder, but I’m eager to please. I’m a sweetheart when my humans are feeling down—nothing a cuddle and a gentle kiss can’t fix. I patiently sit for veggie snacks while my foster mom cooks and never sneak food from the counter! I get along well with my foster sister, but I’d really thrive as the only pet in the home where I can be your one and only. ♥&#239&#184&#143 If I could ask for just one thing from my future forever family, it would be patience. My past may be unknown, but I do know I wasn’t truly loved—until now. I’m ready to give you all the affection, loyalty, and joy I have to offer. If you think we’re meant to be, apply to meet me at BuffaloCares.org. I’ll be waiting with open paws and a wagging tail! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, I’m Flash! &#226&#156&#168 I’m a sweet, smart, and incredibly lovable Boxer mix looking for my furever home! My foster mom says I’m not only handsome but also the bestest boy — I just know I love being around people. Whether it’s cuddle time or playtime, I’m happiest when I’m with my humans. I adore running around the yard with my canine foster sister and brother — we have so much fun! I’m great with other dogs, and guess what? I LOVE kids! My foster mom’s grandson is one of my favorite play buddies. Toys are the best, but the ball? That’s my ultimate favorite! When it’s time to settle down, I turn into a big snuggle bug. I’m doing really well with my training and learning new commands every day. I’m also getting the hang of leash walks and doing great in my crate — especially when there’s a treat involved! I still have that fun puppy energy and am super curious about the world around me — birds, leaves, you name it. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to make you laugh, keep you company, and snuggle up with at the end of the day, I might just be your perfect match. Apply to meet me today at Buffalocares.org! I can’t wait to wag my tail for you! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Hugs and kisses, Flash   Adoption fee : $425 RR48    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All dogs come fully up to date on shots, microchipped, heart worm tested, de-wormed, on flea and heart worm preventative, and spayed/neutered.  If interested in learning more or adopting please fill out an application on our website at www.buffalocares.org. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Are you looking for the dog equivalent of a #Girlboss?  Perhaps a pittie Miranda Priestly??  Before becoming a Diamond, Maddie was not socialized with people or animals and, as she has started expanding her social circle, her true bossy lady personality has truly emerged…so if you’re looking for a pup to take over your day-to-day life decisions, Maddie is your girl!   In all seriousness, Maddie is a work in progress.  Maddie has attached very strongly to her foster, and is (mostly, lol) a perfect gem for her, but she does have intense stranger danger which, in true #girlboss style, she has no problem showing.  She reacts similarly to new dogs, although has bonded closely with her foster fur-siblings and particularly with her little foster fur-brother (who she has turned into her emotional support animal).  Maddie is working with a trainer to help her to better emotionally regulate, and she will need a home that will be patient with her and support her continued progress.   But my goodness, is she worth it!  Being loved by Maddie is like having the sun shine on you everyday, with her big smile, sweet kisses, playful nature, intense, burrowing cuddles, and sighs of contentment.  If you are that special person (or persons!) who can help Maddie become her best self, you will never regret it.  Maddie is sponsored with training to continue her journey. Until Maddie becomes her best self, we are recommending no kids and only friendly, patient and well-rounded dogs for siblings. If you are interested in meeting Maddie, please fill out an adoption application online (https://diamondsintheruffanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms). Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Ozzy!   Ozzy appears to be a microbully and is about three years old.  Ozzy being cute as can be is an understatement.  He is also a complete velcro dog that wants to be with people.  He will play with toys, lay next to you, or contently chew a bone. He is working on his leash skills, however, he is easily excited and pulls on the leash.   Ozzy was in a home, however was returned after a bite incident.  It is reported that while sleeping, he was startled and bit the person laying with him in the face. It was not just a nip, and the powerfulness of his jaw was exhibited by this incident.  While he appears to have no aggressive tendencies, he has exhibited some traits while at shelter that need to be known before one thinks about applying for him.  Ozzy tends to become fixated, slightly obsessive, with certain toys - when one tries to remove that object he stiffens up and tries to not give it up and it is difficult to break his focus from that toy.  Volunteers have been working with him on 'drop it' and 'leave it' using his favorite high value treat, cheese.  He has a good start and is catching on, but continued work in that area is needed.     Ozzy is also very bossy and wants to be in control.  However, he has responded well when advised he is not the boss, and there are rules and boundaries he needs to follow.  He tends to test everyone to see who will make him listen, so it is important that you can stand your ground.  Nothing crazy, just asking him to sit and wait until your ready to go out the door, waiting for his meal, and removing him from the furniture when he is acting foolish.  All these little things and more add up to a more respectful relationship, rather than Ozzy being a little dictator.  Training classes would probably be a HUGE bonus to help him bond with his new people and have added structure.   Ozzy has a lot of love and energy to share with his people.  The love and excitement he has when he sees his favorite volunteers shows, and despite him being a stubborn, bossy bully at times, he is mostly a small, compact, larger than life lovebug! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. &#226&#150&#186 We do not adopt to Canada  due to border restrictions and breed-specific legislation &#226&#150&#186 We adopt & foster locally only ; within an approximately 55 mile radius of Lockport, NY 14094 USA Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, deworming & flea treatment. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Looking for a sweet, devoted and ridiculously loving companion who has a zest for life? Meet Rocky – a wiggly, happy-go-lucky pup whose ready to bring nonstop fun into your life. Despite a rough start to life, this handsome guy is ready to leave the past behind and find his forever home filled with love and belly rubs. This 3-yr old adorable Boxer-Bully mix is full of personality – whether he’s exhuberantly greeting visitors, doing zoomies in the yard, chasing his ball, proudly strutting the neighborhood, plopping his 60 lb body onto your lap, watching every move you make in the kitchen or trying to sneak into your bed at night! He is smart, food motivated and eager to please which is a blessing for training. He knows basic obedience, loves the comfort of his crate, is housetrained and yes, he is a treadmill pro as well. Although Rocky does love a good workout, he does not need a lot of exercise and is sensitive to the warmer weather. Rocky is perfectly happy having a decent walk, then switching to his role as Professional Window Watcher – where he snoozes and lounges in front of the bay window to watch the world go by. He rarely barks at the many people and dogs walking by but if there is a squirrel to report, he is on it! He usually races to the door if he thinks by chance there may be a guest stopping by although often it’s just the mailman or an Amazon delivery person. Rocky gives Velcro Dog vibes – wherever you are is where he wants to be. He is a strong and sturdy boy who needs to be mindful around little ones and does love to chew, so watch those toys. This big-hearted pup is all about people and loves soaking up the attention and he needs to be the only pet in the home. No sharing the spotlight for him! Despite this, he enjoys pack walking and participating in training classes with other balanced and controlled pups – as long as he has his space. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate and endlessly entertaining best friend, Rocky is your perfect match. He is a wonderful houseguest at his foster home and is very much loved.
