Meet RASPBERRY! Straight from Laredo, Texas and ready to steal hearts here in WNY! Female Boxer Mix 12 weeks old 12 lbs of pure puppy energy Up to date on vaccines Raspberry is the definition of FUN. This sweet girl is super outgoing, loves everyone she meets, and is always ready to play! She absolutely LOVES her foster dog siblings and even gets along great with the cat. She’s already showing off how smart she is too — potty training is going awesome and she settles down for naps like a champ (most of the time ). Like any puppy, Raspberry is still working through those sharp little puppy teeth, so older kiddos may be the best fit while she learns what is and isn’t a chew toy. If you’re looking for a playful, loving, goofy best friend to grow up with your family, Raspberry might just be your perfect match. (57) Apply at Buddysrescue.org   ##2748246##

She LOVES playing with her foster dog friends and even gets along great with the cat! This smart little girl is already rocking her potty training with no issues and sleeps quietly through the night in her crate for a full 8 hours! Story
Capone is the kind of dog who walks into a room and immediately gives off “I’ve got this handled” energy. Cool, calm, collected — and clearly committed to leg day. This 5-year-old pittie mix has a sleek, athletic build that makes it obvious he was loved and cared for before finding himself at the shelter when his owners moved and couldn’t keep him. There’s something incredibly easy about Capone. He’s steady. Relaxed. The kind of dog who doesn’t need to bounce off the walls to get your attention. He carries himself with quiet confidence and seems happiest just hanging out with his people and taking life as it comes.Capone may be able to live with another calm dog pending a meet and greet. Because we don’t have extensive history for him, we would ask that any children in the home come meet him as well to make sure everyone is a good fit. Cats are unknown at this time.If you are interested, please give us a call at 716-731-4368, extension 0.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I’m Flash! ✨ I’m a smart boy who loves hard. I graduated from Basic Obedience  training, and I even have the certificate to prove it. Not to brag, but I was basically the smartest  dog in my class. I know how to sit, lay down, go to my place, walk on a leash… All of it! My  foster parents also say I’m an A+ cuddler. While they didn’t check my DNA, if you hear me  howl, you’ll swear I have hound in me. I also have a really strong sniffer and have a blast going  out in the woods and finding new things to smell, like stumps and puddles and holes in the  ground! One thing I’ve learned is I can be cautious of new people. My boundaries are very  important to me. I have to make sure I can trust you before I’m comfortable. Going in public can be a bit overwhelming for me, and it kind of amps me up. I would be fine to stay at home in my crate though. I’m a very good boy who will wait patiently for you to get home. I am great in  a car, so we can go for rides or trips to get ice cream whenever you want! I would do best in a home with someone experienced in dog training. That way they can keep me practicing my  skills and learning new things. I am eager to make my new owner very happy. I’m full of so  much love and happiness, we really don’t need too many visitors to interrupt our fun. Only our closest friends and family. I understand that children are smaller and more delicate. I really just want to play and not hold back though, so a home without children would be great. I know I’m  an extra special boy who is looking for an extra special home. In order to find the perfect family  for me, Buffalo CARES is willing to widen the search. Live outside Western New York but think you could be my forever? My fosters would travel anywhere! Maybe somewhere with lots of space and smells for me to sniff, like the mountains or by the ocean. If I sound like the perfect  addition to your family, Apply to meet me today at Buffalocares.org! I can’t wait to wag my tail for you! ❤️ Hugs and kisses, Flash   Adoption fee : $425 but for the right adopter my aoption fee is waived RR48    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All dogs come fully up to date on shots, microchipped, heart worm tested, de-wormed, on flea and heart worm preventative, and spayed/neutered.  If interested in learning more or adopting please fill out an application on our website at www.buffalocares.org. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Ozzy!   Ozzy appears to be a microbully and is about three years old.  Ozzy being cute as can be is an understatement, he is a lot of personality in his little body!  He is also a complete velcro dog that wants to be with people.  He will play with toys, lay next to you, or contently chew a bone. He is working on his leash skills, however, he is easily excited and pulls on the leash.  Further, he thinks he is a Walmart greeter for any situation that involves meeting people, as you know, everyone is here to visit Ozzy in Ozzy's world.   Ozzy was in a home, however was returned after a bite incident.  It is reported that while sleeping, he was startled and bit the person laying with him in the face. It was not just a nip, and the powerfulness of his jaw was exhibited by this incident.  While he appears to have no aggressive tendencies, he has exhibited some traits while at shelter that need to be known before one thinks about applying for him.  Ozzy tends to become fixated, slightly obsessive, with certain toys - when one tries to remove that object he stiffens up and tries to not give it up and it is difficult to break his focus from that toy.  Volunteers have been working with him on 'drop it' and 'leave it' using his favorite high value treat, cheese.  He hassince moved onto a foster home and is doing better, but continued work in that area is needed.     Ozzy is also very bossy and wants to be in control.  However, he has responded well when advised he is not the boss, and there are rules and boundaries he needs to follow.  He tends to test everyone to see who will make him listen, so it is important that you can stand your ground.  Nothing crazy, just asking him to sit and wait until your ready to go out the door, waiting for his meal, and removing him from the furniture when he is acting foolish.  All these little things and more add up to a more respectful relationship, rather than Ozzy being a little dictator.  Training classes would probably be a HUGE bonus to help him bond with his new people and have added structure.   Ozzy has a lot of love and energy to share with his people.  The love and excitement he has when he sees his favorite people shows, and despite him being a stubborn, bossy bully at times, he is mostly a small, compact, larger than life lovebug! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. &#226&#150&#186 We do not adopt to Canada  due to border restrictions and breed-specific legislation &#226&#150&#186 We adopt & foster locally only ; within an approximately 55 mile radius of Lockport, NY 14094 USA Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, deworming & flea treatment. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Are you looking for the dog equivalent of a #Girlboss?    Perhaps a pittie Miranda Priestly??    Before becoming a Diamond, Maddie was not socialized with people or animals and, as she has started expanding her social circle, her true bossy lady personality has truly emerged…so if you’re looking for a pup to take over your day-to-day life decisions, Maddie is your girl!   In all seriousness, Maddie is a work in progress.    Maddie has attached very strongly to her foster, and is (mostly, lol) a perfect gem for her, but she does have intense stranger danger which, in true #girlboss style, she has no problem showing.    She reacts similarly to new dogs, although has bonded closely with her foster fur-siblings and particularly with her little foster fur-brother (who she has turned into her emotional support animal).  Maddie is working with a trainer to help her to better emotionally regulate, and she will need a home that will be patient with her and support her continued progress.      But my goodness, is she worth it!    Being loved by Maddie is like having the sun shine on you  everyday , with her big smile, sweet kisses, playful nature, intense, burrowing cuddles, and sighs of contentment.    If you are that special person (or persons!) who can help Maddie become her best self, you will never regret it.    Maddie is sponsored with training to continue her journey. Until Maddie becomes her best self, we are recommending no kids and only friendly, patient and well-rounded dogs for siblings.  If you are interested in meeting Maddie, please fill out an adoption application online ( https://diamondsintheruffanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms ).
