Peggy is a love-able puppy. She jumps with excitement every time she sees you! She likes to bathe in the sun and explore the outdoors. She gets a long fine with any animals that has been around her thus far i.e. other dogs and a goat. Peggy will make someone an extraordinary companion as she is very loyal and loving. I hope Peggy finds the right home for her, where there is plenty of space for her to roam around and explore.

Story
Meet Mutt - your future furry best friend! This one-year-old bundle of joy is the perfect addition to any loving home. Weighing in at around 35 lbs, Mutt is the ideal size for cuddles and playtime. Mutt is a well-behaved, house, and kennel-trained pup who's been doing a great job with leash training. He's looking for a forever home with someone who can continue to reinforce his good behavior and continue his leash training journey. This medium-energy marvel is a social butterfly and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. He's a true "pawsome" playmate and would adore having a doggy friend to frolic with. Mutt is no stranger to the dog park, where he thrives while playing with his buddies. However, Mutt's love for feline friends is not as strong, so he's seeking a cat-free home. While he hasn't lived with kids before, he should do just fine in a home with respectful children who understand how to interact with dogs. Mutt is a ton of fun and adores playtime. He's always ready to drag out his toys and engage in a spirited game of tug of war with his furry pals. Don't miss out on the opportunity to give Mutt the loving home he deserves. He's the perfect companion for an active, dog-loving household. Ready to make memories and share adventures with Mutt? Come meet him today and let the good times roll! He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, heartworm negative, and microchipped. You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@yahoo.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.com/adoption-application!

Story
Carl is an approximately 8-year old male Boxer mix and weighs around 65 lbs. He was rescued after being abandoned on the streets of OKC. Carl was very confused about how he ended up in boarding, but he has made great progress. He has started playing with the techs there and loves to run around in the clinic yard. He would love a home where he is included in activities and made a part of the family. He is a “rough” player and would do best as an only dog or with a submissive dog, so if there are other dogs in the home, he will need to meet them prior to adoption. Carl would be an awesome companion for the right person. Very loyal. He would not be a good choice for a home with children under 12 or cats. He is simply a senior guy looking for his final home. Carl does not like crates, but will crate. He is good on a leash and would love a home where he can walk with you. We don’t know if he is house-trained but he does keep a clean kennel in boarding. He is neutered, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $225. Since he is in boarding, he qualifies as a foster to adopt, or just a foster. See Kim or Michelle for more information about fostering. To foster Carl, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/foster-application. To adopt Carl, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application.

Story
This sweetheart is Rosie! Rosie is an approximately 3.5-year old female Boxer / Pit Bull mix and currently weighs 50 lbs. Rosie is a very playful, loving cuddly! She needs another playful and active dog in the household. Would love a home where she is included in activities. Rosie doesn't really show her true personality at events but she is a very charming young lady. Rosie needs a stockade fenced back yard to run and play in. She can be quite shy at first, but once she is comfortable with the situation, her outgoing and social personality comes out! She is crate, leash and housetrained. Rosie does require a prescription diet for crystals in her urine so she may have accidents occasionally. And the cost of her special food needs to be in the budget for her needs. Rosie is spayed, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $225. If you are interested in adopting Rosie, please go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application to apply.

Story
Meet Keeno 2 year old male pit Current on all vaccinations and microchipped Keeno is a strong, stocky pit bull with a short, glossy coat that’s mostly a warm, chocolate brown, accented with crisp white markings on his chest, snout, and the tips of his paws. His eyes are a rich amber, often filled with a mix of curiosity and calm confidence. Keeno carries himself with a laid-back swagger—alert but never aggressive, loyal to the bone, and always tuned in to his surroundings. He's got a wide, expressive face that softens when he’s around people he trusts, especially when his tail starts thumping the ground in excitement. His ears perk up when he hears his name or the rustle of a treat bag. Keeno is the kind of dog who’s all heart—protective of his people, gentle with kids, and always ready for a game of tug or a lazy afternoon nap in a sunny spot. His muscular build might intimidate strangers, but once you meet him, it’s clear—Keeno's just a big softie under that tough exterior. Story
Ashton is a strong yet sweet female pit bull with a sleek, muscular build and a short, glossy coat. Her coloring might be a striking black with white markings on her chest and paws. Ashton carries herself with quiet confidence—alert, observant, and protective of those she loves. Her eyes are soulful and intelligent, often reflecting a playful curiosity or a calm, steady loyalty. Despite her tough appearance, Ashton has a tender heart. She's affectionate and thrives on close companionship, always happiest when she's near her favorite people. She loves to cuddle just as much as she loves a good game of tug or a sprint through the yard. Around other dogs, she’s respectful but assertive, knowing when to hold her ground and when to be gentle. She’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply, listens intently, and shows her love in small, consistent ways—like leaning against your leg or following you room to room. With proper training and socialization, Ashton is both a loving pet and a devoted guardian. If Ashton would fit into your family please call 405-262-6941 or email spowers@elrenook.gov to schedule a meet and greet
