Story
Bobby is our Staff Pick! Animal Care and Adoption Specialist Peter says, "Bobby is a sweet, special boy! He likes to get out and about, is great on his walks, and loves agility! I like to visit him when he's getting some play time, and he'll run right up to me, lean into me and give me face kisses with that long nose of his. Sometimes he's anxious about the world, but it's a very rewarding experience to help comfort him and make him feel better, because he always appreciates you for it. It can take some time to earn that trust from him, but once you do, he's full of love and very attached to his people. It always feels like he wants to see me and doesn't want me to leave."Bobby is ready to find his best friend! This handsome 7-year-old is eager to charm you, woo you, and be your shadow through it all. Bobby can be a sensitive guy and is looking for a dog-experienced, adult only home that can give him all the mental enrichment, exercise, and socialization he needs. And a home that can give him all the time he needs to settle into his new environment. Once he's comfortable he loves to play, go for walks, and enjoys eating treats. In fact, he's a little chubby because he loves treats so much! Bobby is looking to be the only pet in his new home and is looking for a house in a quiet area. If you're ready to welcome home this lovely lad, send in an adoption application today! Bobby's adoption fee is waived in thanks to our Pay it Forward program. *Bobby is currently in a foster home and not located in the shelter.#playful #nodogs #nocats #lovesfoodtreats

What my friends at Seattle Humane say about me:· In search of my very own emotional support human.· I find it scary to be home alone throughout the day, so a family that could keep me company would be the best for me at this time.· I am an energetic boy despite my age and would love a family that can keep up with me!

Story
Animal Profile: Charlotte is an estimated 4-year-old, 48 lb spayed female bull terrier/shepherd mix who lived most her life on a chain having litter after litter until her family up and moved and left her. She was taken in by our rescue partner in Oklahoma, where she became an inside dog -- she quickly learned house training and crate training, and was described as "absolutely fabulous." She joined Dog Gone Seattle in August 2023.  Seattle Foster Update: Charlotte, or Charlie as she is affectionately called, has learned so much in just a few short months. From the chain to a cherished family member, Charlie is affectionate, loyal, smart, and loving. With professional trainer guidance, she has mastered basic commands including sit, down, place, and come, and is working on loose leash walking. She now walks well on a leash in a quiet neighborhood but does demonstrate prey drive, especially for little critters such as squirrels and bunnies outside, so requires a confident handler. She is cat-neutral, and has lived in both foster homes with multiple cats; she would do fine in a home even with a nervous cat. She is not reactive to other dogs outside the home but does show some resource guarding toward other dogs (not people) for her crate/bed and at times her people inside the home, so may be easier as an only dog. She’s happy to chill during the day and loves to snuggle with her people. She loves having a large fenced yard where she can run and play as she lives for fetch. She will need a savvy adopter familiar with the level of leadership as well as the mental and physical stimulation required by her breed, and who is committed to continuing her training. Private training support will be included with adoption.  Adopter Profile: Adult only home Large breed experience required Herding breed experience preferred Secure fenced yard required Balanced dogs considered Cats OK Commitment to ongoing training Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Take home training session will be included with adoption. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Tulsa Animal Control in Oklahoma and arrived in the Seattle area via Furry Freight on 8/13//2023. She is being fostered in the greater Seattle area and has received professional training with Dog B Good in Federal Way. April 16, 2024, 12:40 pm

Story
When you eat your Thanksgiving turkey- will you think of me?? I will be right next to you trying to get it... NOW will you think of me?? LOL, ok, I kid.... I do love turkey though :) I am Wishbone, and I am a bull terrier/beagle mixed boy with a story to tell! I am so smart like a bull terrier- somewhat stubborn, like a bull terrier, but I follow my NOSE like a beagle! I am super cute, only about 40# and I am pretty active. I love to have a hard playing buddy, no small animals (like kitties) as I have a prey drive- like a bull terrier.. you see where I am going with this, right?? I would love have an active family, kids older than grade school as I love a moving target and smaller ones don't quite understand that. I am a love bug, and once tired out I am the bestest cuddler! So, what are you waiting for? Look me up, take me on adventures when you apply to adopt me! ADOPT, DON'T SHOP!!!! MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)
