She found herself to our outdoor colony. Then we found her in our front lawn, attacked by some kind of animal. We rushed her to the vet. She has a huge scar under her fur. You cant see it at all. In her long recovery process, VANESSA FISK learned to adapt to the indoor life (that's why we think she was dumped). So now she is nice and plumb. She's timid, but we believe in a home with a person or family looking for a quite new buddy will make her flourish. While she has spent time in our cattery, she has learned to be social with all the cats. She's even learned to climb to the ceiling ramp. She's looking for a place to just be a couch potato. She has never been around dogs or young children. We don't think she will do well with dogs. The vet thinks a coyote or loose dog attacked her. She was found in a bush alone in Redondo Beach, Ca. SELENA was feisty and so small. She really was made to be a house (queen) kitty . SELENA is now ready for her FUREVER home. She is not a lap cat, but we can see her potential! She has lived indoors with her foster siblings. She's a typical calico...she can be sassy! She is also sweet but, not fond of being picked up. SELENA does ask for pets. She actually demands them. She loves to play and will let you know she likes her can food! She is a petite little queen! She is a gorgeous little teenager. Our independent trapper friend called saved the 2 young kittens stuck under a large truck container. Fast forward to a few months back, the rescue that was suppose to take them fell through. The people are super nice. The trapper TNR’D 6 cats that were all adults. PEPPER and LEO were too small to return. They deserved a chance to be adopted. And the fact that they had 3 older siblings that were killed by the neighbors running them over was the reason we saved them. PEPPER and LEO are now ready to be adopted. PEPPER is very playful and will be your typical Calico. See the calico cat is a medium-sized domestic cat renowned for her spunky, assertive personality. While she's a generally independent cat that doesn't require constant attention, the calico is also sweet, loving, and loyal. And that is PEPPER!! She loves attention on her time. Rescue mama was called that a lady was trapping all the cats and returning them to the yard. That's a great idea, But not for 2 month old tiny kittens. So our trapper went out brough us the kittens so they would not have to die in that scrap yard. That's why they have an ear-tip. It's not a practice that our rescue condones. Mellow Rue purrs like crazy she is extremely playful loves dogs and cats likes to chase both. She loves to hunt and climb and any type of dangly toys Our little MELLOW RUE has been through so much tragedy at such a young age. Adoptions are scheduled by appointment only after an application has been completed and approved. If you want to adopt, please download an adoption application from our website TORescue.org and submit it to us. Please do not visit any shelters or rescue groups prior to coming to ours. We do this to keep our animals healthy and prevent diseases from entering our rescue. Stitches is a complete love bug. She loves toys, attention, and being around people. She was rescued from a home that had entirely to many kitties living there, but now she will be able to have all the individual love and attention that she deserves. Their mom cat decided to give birth inside the backseat of someone's car. Apparently, the window was rolled down, so she climbed in to try and keep them safe. When they were discovered, we were contacted to see if we could take them in. We of course said yes and placed the whole family (mom included) into one of our amazing foster homes. All three kittens are sweet, social and playful. They can be adopted individually or in a pair. Here are some unique traits that set them apart from each other. Tigger - This gorgeous girl is the most adventurous one. She is the first to try new things and test the water out for her two siblings. If anything, or anyone new comes into the house, she is the one that investigates the situation. Her foster home says she has been the one that hits the milestones first in development too. She also loves looking out the window and if she sees her foster mom outside, will rub all over the windowsill to get her attention. She is a very expressive and engaging kitten. Eeyore - This adorable boy started out as the baby of the litter but has since blossomed into a big handsome boy. He loves to jump and climb on his cat tree and will also join his sister for a nap in the window. He loves to be held and kissed. And if you are looking for an affectionate guy, he definitely is the one for you. He is simply wonderful. Piglet - She is the mellowest of the litter. But when she plays and wrestles with her siblings, she definitely holds her own. Her foster home reports she is particularly good at catching the feather wand and holding on to her prize. She has a very cute way about her, and she is such a beauty too. An all-around great kitty that is sure to capture the heart of her new person or family. They are both sweet and playful but loud noises and quick movements still scare them a little bit. They have made tons of progress in their foster home but still need that little extra amount of patience to allow them to fully trust their humans. They can be adopted together or individually. They also can join a home with another resident cat. Here are some individual traits about both of them. Katniss - She is the more confident of the two. She is cautious at first when meeting new people but warms up very quickly. She loves to play with her brother and also the other kitties in her foster home. She has a very sweet demeanor, and we think as she becomes more and more comfortable, she will be a vocal kitty, she just has to find her voice. She would love to have a forever home and express to you every day how grateful she is for having been rescued. Peeta - He takes his cues from Katniss. If she is relaxed, then he relaxes quickly. He is still learning this 'trusting humans' thing but once he thinks you are okay in his book, then he is a purring machine. He loves to play up a storm with any kitty and with any type of toy. He would love a cat tree in his new home too. He just needs someone to give him a chance. We know his forever person is out there, could it be you?
