Calico kittens & cats in Leesburg, Florida

KitKat wandered on to our porch July 2023. She was starving and covered in ticks. We fed her, treated for ticks, brought her vaccinations up-to-date, confirmed she was spayed, and had her microchipped. She is sweet, even with our toddler, but she needs a new home for several reasons. She needs a more regulated diet due to being overweight and possibly having food sensitivities. She likely was a lost or abandoned pet, and seems to want to be a house cat instead of a porch cat. She also loves attention and companionship and needs more than we can currently provide.

Still just a kitten herself, Willow was a stray and was rescued one week before giving birth to six kittens! From the start, Willow has been an amazing mama. She’s protective and caring, and now that her babies are growing and she doesn’t have to do as much, she’s playing and learning with them. Willow loves to be given affection! She will follow you around when she wants it, and is quite vocal about it. She loves being pet, and her purr is strong! Willow would do best being adopted with one of her kittens. Hi, my name is Buttercup and I am THE "Princess Bride" from the movie! I have three brothers and we are looking for our forever home! We did have another sister but we were in such bad shape when we were finally rescued that she didn't make it. She actually died of flea anemia. We would have too if it had not been for a wonderful woman who rescued us and made sure we got the healthcare we needed! And I for one am so grateful! My brothers are all so soft hearted. I am the toughest one of the litter! Maybe I felt like I had to take care of them, so I'm still a little bit shy and apprehensive around humans. Maybe someday I'll be able to love unconditionally like they do, but right now you need to earn my trust. My brother Wesley is still available for adoption and he's shy too, but we would love to be adopted together. We have a happy update: KitKat is now safe with foster in Orlando but still need adoptive home! URGENT! This cat needs a miracle. Grandma is moving TONIGHT. KitKat cannot go and the family has reached out to us on her behalf. This is a problem that needs solving IMMEDIATELY. Here is an excerpt from their message: "The cat is overweight (don't know her exact weight), 9 years old, female calico. We are located currently in Orlando, Florida but are willing to drive up to wherever is needed to surrender her. We are not able to take her to Arkansas. She also does have some issues controlling her bladder sometimes. We unfortunately do not have the funds to take her to the vet either, and haven't for a while." We do not want this post to generate any negativity towards the family. We all know the feelings this gives us... but none of that will help KitKat. KitKat needs a safe plan B. She will need a vet. She has been on Purina One Indoor and she loves any canned food. She is spayed and chipped. Grandma adopted her 7 years ago. The family has said that OCAS or Pet Alliance can take her in a month, but Grandma never got on waiting list so there is no time, now.
