Calico kittens & cats in Lawrence, Kansas

Update 9/24/26 Zena's family took her to Eudora Animal Clinic to be adopted out. She and Fluffy are probably in Kennels. I hope they are loving on them. I don't know how it works there. I am sure they are scared to death. Please contact the clinic if you want to rescue them. Zena is one of 3 cats that are in desperate need of a home. Their owner left a week ago to move into assisted living facility. They are lonely for a human to love them. I drive every day to take care of them, but they are all alone most of the time. She is a very sweet kitty. She is good in the house good litterbox kitty. Still playful once she feels safe. No health issues. Zena is approximately 5 years old, little shy takes her a little while to warm up. She is left behind with Fluffy and Boo.

Baguette is one of the sweetest cats I've ever had the pleasure of living with. However she needs to live in a home where she is the only pet. She is afraid of other animals, and will growl at other cats, and swipe at them if they get too close. If you are looking to have one cat though, I truly believe Baguette to be one of the best ones you can have.

This sweet, loving cat was either dropped off or abandoned by our house and decided to live on our porch. We kept her well fed and found she was very affectionate and was not afraid of other animals. She wants to be a lap cat and follow her owner around like a puppy. We have several of our own and would love to find a loving home for this cutie. We have asked around and listed her on FB but no response came. I have partnered with my personal veterinarian and she is treating her tongue ulcers and will be healed in a few days. We found out she is missing a few teeth but it doesn't stop her from eating and enjoying life. She does let her tongue blep out on occasion because of it. We would love to find this sweetheart a loving home where she will be cared for. She is litter trained very well. If you are thinking about adopting this girl, you will have a friend for life!

This sweet 9-year-old cat is looking for a new home where she can be the only pet. She is healthy with no known medical issues, but she's become stressed living with other cats and would thrive in a calm, animal-free environment. She’s a little shy until she gets comfortable with you. Once she does though she turns into a snuggle buddy. She deserves a peaceful home where she can relax, feel secure, and get all the love and attention she needs.

Momma is an approximately 9-year-old calico with a sweet heart, a sassy attitude, and a personality that proves you can be both a cuddle bug and a queen who knows exactly what she wants! Her favorite things: Snuggling with her favorite human, soaking up affection, and being the center of attention. She loves to cuddle and will happily remind you that you are, in fact, her person. Her not-so-favorite things: Other animals. Dogs? No, thank you. Other cats? Absolutely not. Momma believes in a peaceful home, and in her opinion, the best way to achieve that is to be the only pet in the palace! As much as we love her, living with other animals just isn't fair to Momma. She deserves a home where she can relax, feel safe, and enjoy all the love and attention she craves without having to share her space with furry roommates she didn't approve of.

Peaches and her son, Onyx, used to fend for themselves outside. A kind person took them in during a blizzard in Kansas City. Now Peaches and Onyx have grown to appreciate the comforts of life indoors and have no desire to venture outside. At about five months old, Onyx is coal black with just a little bit of white on his belly. He appreciates tasty food and playing with toys. He's a brave boy who shows his mama the ropes, letting her know that the world isn't so scary. Onyx is very loving and purrs like a big engine. Peaches is about two years old; she was just a baby herself when she had Onyx, but has learned so much from him. Peaches has started to trust humans and is learning to like pets and scratches. If you're patient with her, Peaches will reward you with her love, attention, and purrs. Both kitties have very good manners and are a joy to have. Peaches and Onyx would do best in an adult-only home with patient people. After all, it's not easy to go from living on the street to having everything you've always wanted right before your eyes: a warm, cozy place to sleep; regular, nutritious meals; fresh water; shelter from the rain and snow; and humans who are nice to you. This little prince is the brother of the other cat on my profile, monkey. He is the big cuddle bug. Very quiet except for when you walk over to feed him. Then he says thank you! He loves nose bumps and having his beautiful hair pet. Monkey and him must remain together for his comfort, and for the bond they share. It breaks my heart writing this because they are such good cats. I just have three others and there is not enough room. I am so excited for whoever gets these boogers because you will never not feel loved when you are around them!!!

Shadow is a 7-year-old handsome boy with a heart of gold and a sweet, sensitive soul. Once he knows he is safe, he is like a little shadow who stays close and always wants to be included. He loves to flop beside people for pets, as he is incredibly affectionate once he gets to know you. Shadow is a bit shy and skittish around loud noises, so he needs a home without dogs or small children; however, he is good with other cats once he has time to warm up to them. He is not aggressive by any means if near kids he’s just the definition of scaredy cat around crying/screaming babies and toddlers. After having two kids we want him to have a home he can truly live in instead of hiding from loud noises all the time.If you have a quiet home and some patience, Shadow would be an incredible addition to your family.
