Story
We are looking for a loving new home for our 8 year old cat, Lola. She is a sweet, affectionate and playful cat at heart, but with two young and energetic toddlers and a newborn, we are no longer able to give her the calm environment she needs. As a result, she has become increasingly anxious and aggressive, and we feel it is no longer the best fit for her wellbeing. This is an extremely difficult decision for our family, but we want her to have the chance to truly thrive. Lola is spayed and fully up to date on her vaccinations. She does have some special dietary needs (food allergies), and we are happy to help subsidize those moving forward if that helps her transition into a great home. We would love to find someone who can give her the calm and supportive environment she deserves.

Story
I adopted Willow at the Montrose Animal Shelter in Colorado. She was found and they did not have any information about her but based on their estimation, she is about 5 years old now. Willow would do best in a household without other cats but is okay with dogs if they are calm mannered. She likes to go outside and I have kept a close eye on her when doing so. Willow is social, loves treat time, and to chase her toys around the house like a little game of hide and seek! She doesn’t like car rides and neighborhood cats taunting her at the back door. You will get everything you need to take care of her- a litter box, food bowl, automatic waterer, cat tower, toys, grooming supplies, ect. I am looking for a stable loving household who will take the time to give Willow a good life.

Story
Gigi is everything!! She’s absolutely gorgeous, a torbie calico tuxedo, a combination of brown tabby and red tabby with a white bib and gloves. Her vivid light green eyes are tilted with an exotic look. Born about August 2024, she’s become a sleek gazelle. She’s still very much a kitten…has boundless energy, and like most cats probably will until about age 3 years. She gallops around her foster home with another kitty, flying up and down stairs, enjoying fresh air at the windows, and playing with toys. She respects the boundaries of the other two older cats. She will do best in a home where someone is usually home and gives her plenty of attention, and/or would enjoy having another cat or two to pal around with who would welcome a friend and playmate. Solitude would not be her idea of a good time, and the boredom would likely get her into trouble. Gigi was found loose in a neighborhood at age 6 months. A foster parent took her, but things got a bit complicated when she tested positive for feline leukemia. Her foster parents spent as much time with her in her room as possible, she had lots of toys and a radio, but 3 months of too much time alone wasn’t easy for an energetic kitten. She got lucky again and got to move to a large home with other positive cats, and she is loving being with them and her foster parents. She uses a scratching post, allows her claws to be trimmed, and enjoys short cuddling and nuzzling sessions. Like many cats, she will squirm or nip slightly to let you know if she’s getting overstimulated and needs less attention for a bit. If you’re charmed by Gigi’s info, and if she, you and your home seem compatible, please fill out and submit an application. She’s waiting to charm the right person for the rest of her life.

Story
Piper is 11 years old. She is a LAP CAT. Very cuddly and affectionate. She is funny and loving and loves to purr. She can be very vocal. She was in the home with other cats and one day decided she didn't like them anymore, there may have been some kind of fight, I'm not sure, and now she hides from them in the garage. 😞 For this reason it's probably best for her to be an only cat.

Story
Hi! My name is Georgia. I'm very pretty and very friendly, but I've got a bad food allergy that causes me to be itchy and groom myself too much. The shelter is helping me figure out what I can eat, but it seems like I'll need to be on a very specific diet (possibly forever). Please feel free to call, email, or stop by the shelter if you'd like to meet with me in person!

Story
🐾 Meet Mirabel — Your Fiery, Fabulous Redhead With a Heart of Gold Mirabel is a stunning orange-and-white beauty with a big personality and an even bigger capacity for love. True to her fiery redhead look, she’s confident, spirited, and absolutely convinced the world revolves around her — and honestly, she’s not wrong. ✨ Her Personality Mirabel loves her people deeply. Once she feels safe, she happily climbs into your lap for warm, cozy cuddle time. But here’s the catch: cuddling does not automatically mean petting. Sometimes she simply wants closeness without hands, and she’s very good at telling you when she’s had enough. She’s affectionate, expressive, and delightfully opinionated — in the best way. 🎀 Feisty & Fun Mirabel enjoys playtime and loves batting around ribbon and string toys. She’s curious and engaged, and she shines in a home that respects her boundaries and appreciates her bold personality. 🐈 Her Social Preferences Mirabel is at her best as the star of the household. ✔️ Should be the only pet ❌ No dogs — hard no ❌ No cats — she’s made it clear she’d prefer not to share her kingdom She’s a queen, and queens don’t like competition. 🌟 Her Story Originally adopted from Melissa’s Second Chances in 2022, Mirabel was recently returned through no fault of her own. Her family cared deeply for her; she just needs a home better suited to her needs and personality. 💛 Who She’s Looking For Mirabel’s ideal adopter is someone who: - Loves confident, expressive cats - Understands “cuddle time” doesn’t always mean “pet me endlessly” - Appreciates clear communication from their feline companion - Wants a one-and-only queen to adore If you’re looking for a smart, cuddly, feisty redhead who will make you laugh, keep you company, and rule your home with charm and sass, Mirabel might just be your perfect match. She’s ready for her second chance — and ready to be adored like the royalty she is. 👑💕 🆕 Mirabel is also eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, which means you can take some time to get to know her in your home before finalizing the adoption. Story
🐾 Meet Thames Color: Black & white tuxedo Personality: Thoughtful, cautious, quietly observant Thames is a handsome tuxedo boy who has come a long way alongside his brother, Zambezi (“Zammy”). Once very feral, both boys are slowly learning to trust humans through patience, routine, and gentle care. Thames is the more reserved of the two and prefers to observe first before deciding that a situation—or a person—is safe. Thames is a great roommate—not destructive (aside from a fondness for paper), respectful of his space, and surprisingly vocal when food or treats are nearby. He continues to make steady progress and will benefit from a calm, predictable environment where he can build confidence at his own pace. Thames shares a strong brotherly bond with Zammy and often looks to him for reassurance. Although they are not being adopted as a bonded pair, Thames would truly thrive if he were able to remain in the same home as his brother, as their dynamic provides him added comfort and confidence. Thames will do best in a quiet, understanding home where small milestones are celebrated and trust is allowed to grow naturally over time. ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt.
