Peaches and her son, Onyx, used to fend for themselves outside. A kind person took them in during a blizzard in Kansas City. Now Peaches and Onyx have grown to appreciate the comforts of life indoors and have no desire to venture outside. At about five months old, Onyx is coal black with just a little bit of white on his belly. He appreciates tasty food and playing with toys. He's a brave boy who shows his mama the ropes, letting her know that the world isn't so scary. Onyx is very loving and purrs like a big engine. Peaches is about two years old; she was just a baby herself when she had Onyx, but has learned so much from him. Peaches has started to trust humans and is learning to like pets and scratches. If you're patient with her, Peaches will reward you with her love, attention, and purrs. Both kitties have very good manners and are a joy to have. Peaches and Onyx would do best in an adult-only home with patient people. After all, it's not easy to go from living on the street to having everything you've always wanted right before your eyes: a warm, cozy place to sleep; regular, nutritious meals; fresh water; shelter from the rain and snow; and humans who are nice to you. Meet Tipper! Remember the outgoing, friendly, genuinely nice kid in school liked by everyone? That's Tipper! She's the class president, the pep squad leader, and the one hugging friends having a rough day. Tipper loves everyone! She's not shy about seeking attention, either. She's a lap kitty through and through: If you go to sit down, she'll be on your lap before your behind hits the cushion. At about 7 years old, Tipper is no "senior" at heart. She's a silly, playful kitty who loves rolling around on the floor with her toys. She's good with other cats. As for the dachshunds in her current home, they've all reached an understanding that ignoring each other is the best course of action. So, if you have respectful dogs that won't be all up in Tipper's business, they will probably do just fine together. You'd never know it when you meet her, but Tipper has had a rough time of it lately. Her owner passed away, and her owner's friend took her in. Somehow, Tipper wound up abandoned in a motel room, malnourished and looking pretty rough. Her owner's dad has Tipper now, but he can't keep her. Penny is a 9 year old sweetheart who would prefer a quiet home. She loves to cuddle and be petted. She is very forthcoming with strangers and will participate in everything you do. She is insatiably curious and independent in a classic cat way.

This sweet 9-year-old cat is looking for a new home where she can be the only pet. She is healthy with no known medical issues, but she's become stressed living with other cats and would thrive in a calm, animal-free environment. She’s a little shy until she gets comfortable with you. Once she does though she turns into a snuggle buddy. She deserves a peaceful home where she can relax, feel secure, and get all the love and attention she needs.

Bebe is about 6 years old and has been a part of our family for around 5 years. She has lived in two different households with dogs and does well after she warms up to them. We have a 90lb Golden Retriever and they play together. She is a great play mate and also a great lap cat. She has always used her litter box and has not had an accident over her 5 years with us. She is spayed and microchipped, but could use an updated vet visit. She sometimes forgets she has claws and would do best in a household with children older than 5 years old.Unfortunately we have had to make the hard decision to rehome this sweet girl with our new baby. True to her fiery redhead look, she’s confident, expressive, and knows exactly what she likes — and what she doesn’t. Mirabel is the kind of cat who likes to come and go on her own terms. She enjoys being near her person and will happily curl up beside you at night or keep you company while you relax, but she’s also very clear about her boundaries. Think of her as a companion who prefers quality time over constant hands-on affection. ✨ Her Personality Mirabel is affectionate in her own way. She often chooses to sleep next to her person and enjoys being close, but she’s not a cat who wants lots of full-body petting. Chin scratches are her favorite, and she’ll happily accept attention — until she’s had enough. When she gets overstimulated, she’ll let you know it’s time to give her a little space. She also has a playful side and enjoys batting around toys or exploring the house. And like many orange cats, she’s fascinated by running water and loves sipping from the sink faucet. 🎀 Independent & Full of Sass Mirabel has a fun, sassy personality that makes her entertaining to live with. She likes to explore the house, check in on what you’re doing, and then settle in nearby when she’s ready to relax. 🐈 Her Social Preferences Mirabel previously lived as an only pet, but in foster care she has shown that she can coexist with other cats when introductions are done slowly.
