Story
I adopted Willow at the Montrose Animal Shelter in Colorado. She was found and they did not have any information about her but based on their estimation, she is about 5 years old now. Willow would do best in a household without other cats but is okay with dogs if they are calm mannered. She likes to go outside and I have kept a close eye on her when doing so. Willow is social, loves treat time, and to chase her toys around the house like a little game of hide and seek! She doesn’t like car rides and neighborhood cats taunting her at the back door. I am absolutely heartbroken to say goodbye, but I will be moving far away and don’t think she could make the journey. You will get everything you need to take care of her- a litter box, food bowl, automatic waterer, cat tower, toys, grooming supplies, ect. I am looking for a stable loving household who will take the time to give Willow a good life.

Story
Hi! My name is Georgia. I'm very pretty and very friendly, but I've got a bad food allergy that causes me to be itchy and groom myself too much. The shelter is helping me figure out what I can eat, but it seems like I'll need to be on a very specific diet (possibly forever). Please feel free to call, email, or stop by the shelter if you'd like to meet with me in person!

Story
🐾 Meet Mirabel — The Independent Redhead Queen 🧡🤍 Mirabel is a stunning orange-and-white beauty with a bold personality and plenty of charm. True to her fiery redhead look, she’s confident, expressive, and knows exactly what she likes — and what she doesn’t. Mirabel is the kind of cat who likes to come and go on her own terms. She enjoys being near her person and will happily curl up beside you at night or keep you company while you relax, but she’s also very clear about her boundaries. Think of her as a companion who prefers quality time over constant hands-on affection. ✨ Her Personality Mirabel is affectionate in her own way. She often chooses to sleep next to her person and enjoys being close, but she’s not a cat who wants lots of full-body petting. Chin scratches are her favorite, and she’ll happily accept attention — until she’s had enough. When she gets overstimulated, she’ll let you know it’s time to give her a little space. She also has a playful side and enjoys batting around toys or exploring the house. And like many orange cats, she’s fascinated by running water and loves sipping from the sink faucet. 🎀 Independent & Full of Sass Mirabel has a fun, sassy personality that makes her entertaining to live with. She likes to explore the house, check in on what you’re doing, and then settle in nearby when she’s ready to relax. 🐈 Her Social Preferences Mirabel previously lived as an only pet, but in foster care she has shown that she can coexist with other cats when introductions are done slowly. She tends to keep her distance and prefers not to interact much with them, so she would do best either: • As the only cat, or • In a home with another calm, respectful cat and a patient introduction process 🐶 Dogs are still a no for Mirabel — she’s made that very clear. 👨‍👩‍👧 Kids & Home Environment Mirabel would likely do best in a home with older children or adults who understand feline boundaries. Because she can become overstimulated with too much petting, a home without very young children would help ensure everyone feels comfortable and respected. 💛 Her Ideal Home Mirabel would thrive with an adopter who: • Appreciates independent, personality-filled cats • Understands feline body language and overstimulation • Enjoys a companion who will hang out nearby rather than be constantly handled • Is happy letting their cat set the pace for affection Mirabel isn’t your typical “pick me up and cuddle me all day” cat — she’s more of a roommate with opinions, charm, and just the right amount of sass. But if you’re looking for a beautiful, entertaining, and loyal companion who will share your space (and your bed at night), Mirabel might be exactly the cat you’ve been looking for. She’s ready for her second chance — and a home that appreciates her exactly as she is. 👑🐾 🆕 Mirabel is also eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, which means you can take some time to get to know her in your home before finalizing the adoption. Story
🐾 Meet Izzie — A Playful Tabby with Spark and Style Izzie is a gorgeous female tabby with a rich brown-charcoal coat and stunning green eyes that stop people in their tracks. She’s a young adult with energy to spare and a personality that keeps life interesting. Izzie is excellent with the litter box and an absolute playtime enthusiast. Strings, balls, feathers—if it’s a toy, Izzie is into it. She loves chasing, batting, and entertaining herself, and her zoomies are truly something to behold (very dog-like and very entertaining!). Play is her happy place, and she thrives when she has outlets to burn off her energy. While Izzie can be very sweet and affectionate, she’s still learning how to navigate human touch. She may enjoy petting one moment and then become overstimulated, responding with a quick nip or swat. Because of this, Izzie needs a patient, cat-savvy home that understands feline boundaries and will let her set the pace for affection. Izzie would likely do best as the only cat in the household, where she can have space, attention, and routine without competition. Izzie recently spent time in a foster home who did thoughtful and slow introductions with resident dogs. Izzie did excellent with dogs that respect her space. As long as the resident dog isn’t interested in chasing or being in her face, Izzie is likely to coexist peacefully. With time, consistency, and understanding, Izzie has the potential to continue growing into a confident, loving companion. If you’re looking for a beautiful, playful cat with a big personality—and you appreciate a cat who keeps things on her terms—Izzie might be the perfect match for you. 💚 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt.
