Rita is a beautiful calico girl, estimated to be around 3 years old and weighing approximately 9 pounds. She is gentle, affectionate, calm, and trusting. She is fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, and on revolution. She is currently still living on the streets, where she comes every day for food and affection. Despite her life outdoors, she has remained gentle, trusting, and deeply connected to people. Rita has a low to moderate energy level and enjoys a calm, peaceful environment. She has a quiet, gentle presence and is not demanding or hyper. She loves being pet, leans into your touch, and will gently weave between your legs asking for affection. She allows herself to be picked up and held, remaining calm and relaxed in your arms. Although she is independent, Rita enjoys companionship and likes being near her person. She would do well as an only cat as long as she has human company and is not left alone for long periods. She gets along well with the other cats in her colony and has never shown aggression. She does not fight, does not compete, and prefers harmony. She has not had direct contact with dogs but can see them through a gate and remains calm and unbothered. Because she comes from the street, Rita would do best with a family that has experience with cats and understands the adjustment period. She is ready to leave her outdoor life behind and live exclusively indoors, where she will finally be safe. With proper introduction, she is expected to adapt well to a litter box and indoor life. Rita was a devoted mother who raised her babies on the streets, protecting them and making sure they survived. Today, her babies are safe — Bigotes has been adopted, and Francisco is in foster. Now Rita is the one still waiting. She gave everything to her babies. Now she deserves someone who will choose her!

Meet Ambrosia & Pepper — a bonded pair of sweet senior sisters looking for a soft place to land together. At 16 years young, Ambrosia, a stunning calico, and Pepper, a sleek black beauty, came to us after their beloved owner moved into assisted living and heartbreakingly couldn’t take them along. These girls have been together their entire lives, and that bond is everything. Ambrosia is the queen and she absolutely knows it. She’s friendly, confident, and very vocal about what she wants—mostly pets, attention, and admiration. She boldly explores her surroundings and will happily remind you if you’ve stopped petting her for too long. Pepper, her sister, is the quieter half of the duo. She’s a bit shy at first and prefers to take things at her own pace, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into an incredibly affectionate companion. She’s a wonderful purrer and offers calm, gentle company that’s perfect for a peaceful home. These two must be adopted together—they’ve shared sixteen years side by side and truly rely on one another. Ambrosia can be a bit of a boss around other kitties to everyone except Pepper, so they’d do best in a home without other cats. They haven’t had experience with dogs. If you have room in your heart and home for a devoted senior pair who will reward you with love, personality, and years of companionship, Ambrosia and Pepper are ready to spend their golden years with you. Their adoption fee is $400 for the pair and Ambrosia & Pepper are vaccinated, FIV/FELV negative, microchipped, and spayed. Meet Grace & Hope Grace and Hope came to our shelter at just 4 weeks old, battling an upper respiratory infection. After weeks of care, we discovered they are FHV-1 positive (Feline Herpesvirus). Even so, these two are incredibly sweet and endlessly affectionate—complete with the loudest, happiest purrs. Because they are a bonded pair and FHV-1 is contagious to other cats, Grace and Hope will need to be adopted together into a home without other felines. With proper care, they can live happy, normal lives, experiencing only occasional cold-like symptoms. They currently receive Lysine supplements with their food and will do best in a calm, low-stress environment.
