She has done an incredible job raising her kittens and has been the most devoted, loving mother every step of the way. Now it's Little Debbie's turn to find a family of her own. Meet Daisy! This beautiful eight-month-old calico is a quiet, gentle soul looking for a calm and understanding furever home. She came to us with her mom, Charlie, after being surrendered by a Good Samaritan in Ansonia, CT when they were found as strays. Daisy has a sweet and easygoing personality, but she is a very shy girl who prefers a peaceful environment where she can settle in at her own pace. She enjoys doing her own thing and is happiest with people who respect her independent nature and give her the patience and space she needs to feel comfortable. While she may not be the type to demand constant attention, she has a soft, calming presence that makes her such a special companion. She gets along well with other cats and would love to be adopted with her mom, Charlie, or into a home with another friendly kitty to help her feel secure. Daisy has been around children, but due to her shy nature, a quieter home would be the best fit for her. Bailey is a BEAUTY with Extra toes too - HEMINGWAY POLYDACTYL love bug! This week we are featuring a TON of kitties that are known as Hemingway Polydactyls - this means they were born with tons of extra toes! How cool is that! They literally look like they are wearing mittens on their feet. Some have just extra toes in the front, some on all 4 paws. ALL amazing!! Hi, my name is Polly Pocket, Polly for short, This is me when my foster mom first got me, she said I look like some sort of weird rabbit lol Maybe, but I don’t see it ‍ she called me Polly Pocket because I once fit in the palm of her hand and was only a half a pound at about 7 weeks old. I had several brothers and sisters and we were all in a box together. Some lady my foster mom didn’t know took the box of my brothers and sisters and let me loose in the warehouse because she said I was ugly! She wasn’t very nice, I was scared and really missed my brothers and sisters but then my new foster mom caught me! I did try and bite her at first, but I was scared! She was so nice though and held me tight and told me how pretty she thought I was, so it wasn’t long before I loved her and she gave me lots of kisses. She took me to see the doctor and the doctor gave a quick look and told her that I didn’t have any eyelids, but that’s what gave me my unusual beauty. I was also kind of sick, I have trouble breathing and snort (foster mom thinks it’s cute) it has taken a while for me to grow in size, she had me with younger kittens but they started to grow and I didn’t …. So she moved me again because she didn’t want me to get hurt when we played to rough lol I told her I could take care of myself!  So she found me the purrfect playmate, a huge boy named Swat! He swats everyone but me, he takes care of me.  But everyone thinks its time for me to find a loving home so I can know more of the world than Swat. Meet Chacana! Chacana is a 7.5-year-old tuxedo beauty with a sweet pink nose and wonderfully wide, quirky feet that make her extra unique (not polydactyl—just delightfully unusual!). She previously lived as an indoor/outdoor cat, spending her days splitting time between her home and visiting a nearby colony. When her family moved away, they sadly abandoned her, leaving her confused and heartbroken. Despite all she’s been through, Chacana remains incredibly gentle, loving, and hopeful. She is FIV+, but with proper care, FIV+ cats can live long, healthy, love-filled lives. What she wants now is a quiet, calm home where she can be cherished like the queen she truly is. Chacana is a gentle, sweet girl who loves the simple things in life. Her favorite toys are anything stuffed with catnip, and she absolutely melts for head and chin scratches. If you stop too soon, she’ll reach out with her paw to give you a soft, gentle tap—her adorable way of asking for more love. One of her favorite pastimes is climbing to the top of her tall cat tree so she can look out the front window and watch the world go by. She’s also an incredibly well-mannered kitty—she never scratches furniture or rugs and always uses the scratcher on her cat tree. In the evenings, Chacana likes to sit close by to keep you company. She’s not a lap cat right now and prefers not to be picked up, but she clearly enjoys being near her person and sharing quiet, peaceful moments.
