Story
Say hello to MATTIE! -Adult (~3-5 years) -Dedicated biscuit maker -Powerful purr and sandpaper kisses! -A bit of an enigma, afraid of life itself -This kitty has behavioral considerations and will require medications and a special diet Mattie came into rescue very shut down, and has made some slow but steady progress in foster care with a calm environment and gentle routine, but her emotional comfort zone remains…contained. Literally. Fostering Mattie brings irony to the concept of foster home based rescue, considering the whole point is so that cats don't have to remain isolated, but solitude is truly Mattie's safe space: she has a single spare room all to herself, and will not come out of it. She’ll need a very special adopter; someone with a bounty of both time and patience to help unravel this fuzzy little ball of neuroticism. (And handling skills, as we would not consider her the easiest kitty to medicate, and the sensitive tummy makes for secretly medicated treats a challenge). Mattie lives with SIGNIFICANT anxiety that makes new environments and people overwhelming for her. She is very easily stressed and now that she is finally starting to become a bit more “cat-like” in her foster environment, we are eager to send her off to blossom in her forever environment. Despite her persistent state of “I Am Afraid,” she is truly soft at heart. She greets her food with enthusiasm, is passionate about fuzzy blankies, enjoys birdwatching from her cat tree, and is also a fan of chin scritchies and brushies. She has a proud purr and quite impressively (and perhaps slightly unsettingly) large eyeballs. Mattie’s anxiety does not actually present itself in a fractious nature; she doesn’t bite, she just hides when overwhelmed. Mattie wouldn’t hurt a fly. In fact, she is probably afraid of them. She is otherwise in good health, fully vaccinated, spayed, and also recently had her teeth cleaned.   What kind of home does Mattie need? -Quiet and low-stress -Patient and observant -Experienced with or open to supporting a behaviorally complex cat with medication needs -Okay with a cat who may always be a bit of a nervous nellie Just think of Mattie as the embodiment of “introvert energy.” Her current routine consists of liquid gabapentin by mouth twice daily, transdermal fluoxetine in the morning, and a hydrolyzed diet to keep her anxious tummy happy. So if you’re patient, motivated by even the tiniest progress, and emotionally fluent in “cat,” Mattie might just be your tiny, ghost-eyed soulmate.  Included with the adoption is the kitty's spay, all current-due FVRCP, FeLeuk, and rabies vaccinations for kitties over 1-year, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. We offer a 2-week getting acquainted period and a 2-week wellness guarantee, so you can comfortably settle in with your new kitty! Story
This is "Heidi". Tortoiseshell and calico coloring Friendly, affectionate, even-tempered, spayed, indoor cat who loves attention and sitting on laps. She may follow you around. When she is in the mood, she enthusiastically plays with toys and claws on a scratching post. She particularly enjoys toys that hang from a pole and string. Heidi does NOT like dogs. Age: 12 years. Born 12/14/2013. Weight: 8-9 lbs Rabies vaccination Claws: Heidi tends to sink the front claws in while sitting on your lap, so trim claws regularly. Heidi tolerates this but she squirms. She has learned not to scratch the furniture. Ears: Avoid rubbing or putting pressure near her ears because it causes her to scratch those areas. Sometimes she scratches them frequently anyway. The vet calls it an allergy. Heidi is missing the tip of her right ear. Hairballs: A weekly brushing and a hairball supplement chew added to each meal substantially reduces incidences of vomiting. Heidi enjoys being brushed.

Story
Say hello to Clementine! Due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking to rehome, no fault of her own! We adopted her from a family friend just over 2 years ago. She is the sweetest most loving cat when you get to know her. She isn’t fond of dogs and has been with another cat her whole life, not sure how she would do with new cats but I’m sure she would warm up. She is sassy, shy, sweet, very lovey, loves to run around and climb on her cat tree, and most definitely is a homebody. She LOVES to cuddle and enjoys pats on the butt and is a very vocal purring machine. We believe she would do best in an environment with a fellow homebody, no other big animals or children!

Story
Beautiful 12 year old calico princess named Athena. She was rescued by my wife about 8 years ago before we got married in 2024. She had a litter of kittens and was spayed prior to her adoption. She's great with kids (5yr old and 9yr old) who play up dress up with her and pull her around in a wagon. She's often talkative/vocal when she needs anything. She's been slightly timid since the beginning, but warms up quickly. Completely house trained and eats standard adult dry food, while leaving some on the floor lol. Unfortunately, I am highly allergic, but have worked around it for years. However, my wife and I are both first responders and aren't home enough to give her the attention she deserves. We travel to the lake often during the summer and she does great on her own. She tolerates our dog with no issue and gets along with other cats. She deserves a home who can give her the attention she deserves. No known health issues, other than eye boogies, which is common on white kitties.

Story
Scotch is Whiskey’s brother—and just as charming in his own quiet way. This neutered black-and-white boy started off a bit reserved, but once he had the confidence boost of friendly, outgoing cats around him, his personality really began to shine. He’s learned that the world isn’t so scary, especially when shared with feline friends, and he would be happiest in a home where he has another cat companion. Scotch has a soft spot for gentle affection and truly appreciates calm, loving pets when he feels comfortable. Add a tasty meal to the mix, and you’ve definitely won his heart. Sweet, sensitive, and social with other cats, Scotch is looking for a patient home where he can continue to grow—and ideally share life with a kitty sibling by his side.Cats are same day adoptions as they do not require an application process. Story
Inky is a spayed black female kitten whose true personality is a little hidden by the shelter environment. All the noise and activity can be scary for her, so she may seem shy at first but don’t let that fool you. With time, patience, and love, Inky blossoms into a sweet, gentle companion who truly comes out of her shell. She’s a big fan of food and treats (the fastest way to her heart!) and thrives best in a calm, non-chaotic home where she can feel safe and secure. Once she settles in, you’ll see her confidence grow and her affectionate side shine. Inky gets along well with other cats and would be happy sharing her home with a friendly feline companion. If you’re looking for a quiet, loving kitten who just needs a little understanding to show how wonderful she really is, Inky may be the perfect match for you.Cats are same day adoptions as they do not require an application process.
