Story
Beautiful 12 year old calico princess named Athena. She was rescued by my wife about 8 years ago before we got married in 2024. She had a litter of kittens and was spayed prior to her adoption. She's great with kids (5yr old and 9yr old) who play up dress up with her and pull her around in a wagon. She's often talkative/vocal when she needs anything. She's been slightly timid since the beginning, but warms up quickly. Completely house trained and eats standard adult dry food, while leaving some on the floor lol. Unfortunately, I am highly allergic, but have worked around it for years. However, my wife and I are both first responders and aren't home enough to give her the attention she deserves. We travel to the lake often during the summer and she does great on her own. She tolerates our dog with no issue and gets along with other cats. She deserves a home who can give her the attention she deserves. No known health issues, other than eye boogies, which is common on white kitties.

Story
Cassy, is 7 years old and loves to cuddle. She is a tortoise shell breed. She loves Catnip, dry cat food, but she dislikes other Cats. She likes to be treated like a princess. I got her from the Kentucky THANKS program, that is where she received her chip. Her front claws have been removed and her fur is soft like a rabbit. Cassy, loves one on one attention.

Story
Born on May 7, 2023. Has 5 other siblings.* All are ready for adoption. Never been outside - flea free. Eating hard cat food. Weaned. Litterbox trained. I am NOT 100% certain of the sex of the kittens so make sure to double check before finalizing the adoption. "Are dilute calico cats rare? Yes, even female dilute calico cats are rare. As we saw above, only one in every 1,000 cats is born a standard calico and dilute calico cats are that much harder to come by. One of the reasons for this is that the dilution gene is what’s known as a recessive gene. That means that a more dominant gene can mask it and a kitten would need to inherit the dilution gene from both parents in order to be born a dilute calico. "...- so, consider yourself very lucky indeed if you become the pet parent to one of these beauties." https://www.petsradar.com/advice/dilute-calico-cat

Story
Everyone please meet Olive! This sweet girl is around 3 years old and believed to be a Calico.Miss Olive started off a bit timid but has since opened up dramatically. Olive loves attention and will gladly hop up and spend her day on your lap. While Olive loves to play with toys and her scratching post, its clear that her favorite thing is ATTENTION! She is doing great with her litter box and we are working towards finding out how she does around other cats. You may apply to adopt Olive at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt. Their adoption fee is $50 and she is vaccinated, FIV and FELV tested negative, microchipped and spayed. Many cats do well alone, but they often do great in pairs as well and can benefit from having a feline friend. Because of this, our adoption fees are $75 for one kitten or cat and $100 for two when adopted at the same time. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
Chopsticks is being sponsored anonymously! Chopstick had a rough start to life, she sustained an unknown injury while out on the streets and after coming to Gem City Kitties, it was discovered that she needed surgery to correct the painful way she healed. After her leg surgery, it was up to Chopstick to determine how well it would heal. And just like when she arrived to us, she rose to the challenge and has been gaining strength steadily! She can now run, jump and play to her heart's content and is ready to find her forever home! Could you be the safe place she finally calls home?

Story
Sox is being graciously sponsored by Beth Byington!Sox is a stunning tuxedo lady who loves nothing more than a good head pet and snuggle session! She takes a bit of time to warm up to new environments, but she will quickly come around to new people when she realizes they can give her some pets and love. Sox loves nothing more than to play with her toys either by herself of with a friend, but we think in a home she will thrive and even more of her sweet personality will shine.
