Gimli is a very very sweet boy, he’s very calm and keeps to himself mostly but it’s my belief that he would really come out of his shell in the right environment. Unfortunately with two very loud kids and a dog he’s been very skittish and hides often and has become uncomfortable with using his litter boxes in our home worried that he might be chased out of it. It breaks my heart to have to rehome him but it’s unfair that he’s afraid in his home and he shouldn’t have to be. What’s most important to me is that he finds a good home that allows him to feel safe and comfortable.

Vary loving cat but takes time getting adjusted

Astrid is a gentle 8-year-old calico- tortoiseshell girl looking for a stable, long-term home where she can finally relax and feel safe. She’s naturally shy at first, but once she warms up, her sweet personality really shines—she loves lounging nearby, keeping you company, and even playing fetch with her favorite hair tie. Astrid has a trauma history, so she needs to be the only pet in the home—no other cats or dogs. She thrives in a predictable environment and would do especially well with someone who works from home or is around often. She makes a wonderful quiet companion and “background buddy.” Due to ongoing financial instability and frequent moves, her current home is no longer able to provide the consistency she needs, and it’s been very stressful for her. Because of her past, she’s still a bit food-motivated and may curiously check out what you’re eating, but she’s also learning her house manners more every day.
