Story
Flame is a snuggly boy, enjoys being the center of attention. His coat is soft, with beautiful colors. It’s not his loving personality or his handsome coat that is unique - it’s the little black heart on his foot. He is truly one of a kind. Flame was a feral boy living outside and trapped. When he was in recovery the trapper found out he was friendly, so when I went to pick him up he was rubbing up to my finger and never stopped after this. He is constantly cuddling and wrapping around your legs or knees if you’re sitting. Considering Flame for adoption?

Story
Dear adopter, Hunny is truly the most wonderful cat and we’re sad to be in a position to have to part with her. Hunny is a 5-year-old Blue Tabby (she’ll be 6 on Christmas). She loves to cuddle, talk your ear off, sit in open windows for fresh air/naps, and play with elastic-free hair ties (or chase her tail). She’s also litter trained, specifically for the Tidy Cats Breeze Pellets litter box, which we would provide to the new household. Hunny thrives best in a home as the only pet. She doesn’t get along well with dogs and especially other cats. If the home has kids, the kids would need to be at least 8-10 years old, as kids that age respect/understand her boundaries better. My husband and I are moving soon, so Hunny would need to be in her new home by May 15th at the latest. We’re doing everything we can to find a good home for her, as we want to ensure her safety and comfort, since we care for her so deeply. If you are interested in meeting Hunny, please reach out!

Story
Kovu is my sweet 10-year-old boy, born in August 2015. He has been my loyal companion and has such a gentle, loving soul. He is naturally shy at first and takes a little time to warm up to new people. But once he feels comfortable, he truly blossoms into the most affectionate, cuddly cat. He absolutely loves being close to his person and thrives on companionship. He is strictly an indoor-only cat and is very frightened of the outdoors. He feels safest inside the home and should remain an indoor cat. He does well with other cats and has never been around dogs. While he does okay with my children, he tends to keep his distance from other kids. I believe he would be happiest in a quieter home with teenagers or adults only. This decision has been incredibly hard, however, my schedule has become so busy that I no longer feel I can give him the time and attention he deserves. He would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, as he truly craves company and connection.

Story
MEOW! I'm FENNEC, a 2-year-old handsome tabby boy who needs a foster or forever home. I tested FIV-positive, which only means I need to be the only cat in your home. I've got a heart full of love to share. I'm a sweet, friendly fellow with a sprinkle of curiosity. I'm smart, too, figuring out things quicker than most. I'm also a cuddly snuggler who loves a good lap to curl up on. I can be a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, I'm all purrs and head rubs. I'm also independent, so I won't mind if you're busy sometimes. I'm a gentle soul, mellow and easy-going. I promise to bring a touch of tranquility to your life. Can you foster or adopt me?

Story
Sweet RosieJust like her name, Rosie is as sweet as a rose! This affectionate beauty was found caring for her kittens and brought into a loving foster home where she could raise them safely. Now that her babies are grown, Rosie is fully vetted—spayed, tested, vaccinated, microchipped, and healthy—and ready to begin a life of her own.Rosie loves being close to her person. She gently rubs against her foster’s legs for attention, happily soaks up chin and cheek scratches, and follows her foster around the house like a little shadow. At bedtime, she curls up on the bed for cozy snuggles. She’s also playful and energetic—she’ll chase her favorite string toy endlessly and zoom after tossed balls and toy mice with delight.Rosie would thrive as an only cat, but she’s shown curiosity toward other felines and will likely do well with a friendly male kitty after a slow, thoughtful introduction. She’s not expected to be a good fit with dogs, as she has no known experience with them.A wonderful blend of affection and fun, Rosie will make a loving, devoted companion for the lucky person who brings her home.To learn more or inquire about adopting Rosie, please email Patricia at dpcadams@comcast.net.For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgMarch 7, 2026, 1:53 pm
