Story
Spencer is a pure bred Cane Corso with a lab like personality. He lost his home due to kniw fault of his own after his owner was displaced. Spencer has been very socialized and loves other dogs and used to frequent doggy daycare before he was displaced. The owner of the doggy daycare has also been trying to help him find a forever home and is happy to provide a reference for Spencer. Spencer has had professional training, including several rattlesnake diversion classes. Spencer would do best in an active home. He attaches super quickly and bonds very easily with new people. He doesn’t have the stranger danger that we typically see with Corso’s and would make a great addition to almost any family that has the time to give him. Spencer is currently in the San Diego area and we minimally need a foster that is local to San Diego. Out of State adopters are considered, however, all adopters are required to meet and pick up the dog in person as we do not put our dogs on transport. If Spencer sounds like a dog that would be a good fit for your family, we’d love to hear from you. He is currently in boarding and longing to be in a family environment or with a person that can dote on him.

Story
Luna is the rescues longest resident. As a young puppy Luna was sent to a board n train where harsh methods were used and her trust in humans was completely destroyed. She was flown down to us from a shelter in San Jose in the hopes we could work with her and get her to the point of being able to safely be adopted out. Luna has definitely been a labor of love but she is ready for a home of her own now. She has perfect house manners and is completely house broken. She walks beautifully on a leash and participates in our pack walks where she solicits love and attention from everyone. On the homefront she can be protective but she is a corso, and this is to be expected. She’s been fostered with both dogs and cats and with proper introductions would easily be able to live with other pets. She’s never had an altercation with any animal. She really needs a home with someone who understands the breed and loves cuddling with their pup as she’s a huge cuddler.

Story
Maddie is a sweet big girl. She loves to play and loves scratches from kids and adults. I'm currently fostering and have been for a few months but I travel too much. One of my friends moved to an apartment that didn't allow pets and she was going to put Maddie in a shelter. So I offered to house her for a few months until I met someone that could care for her but I can no longer foster due to travel each month. She's sweet, loves cuddling, and loves to sun bathe.

911 URGENT- PABLO IS PAST DEADLINE. SHELTER IS FULL AND HE IS NEXT ON THE EUTH LIST! WE ARE COURTESY POSTING THIS DOG FOR THE MORENO VALLEY ANIMAL SHELTER TO HELP THEM FIND A HOME. The shelter is severely overcrowded with low adoptions in that area. Dogs are being turned in faster and in higher numbers than the shelter can accommodate. We are helping get the word out of their immediate need. Please help this deserving pooch and clear a kennel today. Lives depend on kennel availability. PLEASE ADOPT OR OFFER TO FOSTER FOR A RESCUE. This beautiful dog is located in the Moreno Valley shelter. Please feel free to reach out to us with questions. Thank you! PABLO - ID#A533537 I am a male, blue and white Cane Corso and American Pit Bull Terrier. The shelter thinks I am about 4 years old. I weigh approximately 75.00 lbs. STAFF NOTES: Took him out for a walk. Once outside, he enjoyed walking slowly and smelling all there was to smell. No pulling, no issues. Received pets, scratches and praise through out the walk which he always stopped for and accepted graciously. Seems to be a good boy, showed no interest in the other dogs we walked by when taking him back to his kennel but is more fearful inside the building and doesn't react to much at all. Took out for another walk. Still a little fearful exiting his kennel and getting him through the door to the outside. Once outside, he like to walk slow and smell. No pulling, just takes his time. It was a little easier getting him back inside today but it's just not fun for him. Nice boy. Needs some comforting and socializing. Doesn't look for interaction much but does seem to like pets and scratches when he gets them. Took pet out for socialization in conference room, was fearful in kennels while walking through and when seeing other Tech in conference room, he was reluctant to go in. Needed coercing and a little pushing to get him in the door. Once in he was a little curious but tended to just want to be pet and watch the doors. Would flinch whenever a specifically loud bark occurred or when someone would come in the room. Needs some more socialization and is a very loving boy. Easy to kennel afterwards. This beautiful dog is located in the Moreno Valley shelter. Please feel free to reach out to us with questions. Thank you! PAIGE #A534150 I am a female, black Cane Corso. The shelter thinks I am about 3 years old. I weigh approximately 94.00 lbs. STAFF NOTES: Sweet girl! Took her out to the conference room to play, and she is really playful and sweet. She loves her ball and you can take it right out of her mouth without any issues. She loves belly rubs and will sit completely on you if she can. When other people entered the room, she greeted them with a friendly demeanor and was a joy to have around everyone. GREAT DOG. Took her out for a meet and greet, and she did very well. She does pull on a leash, but overall she did well. She loves scratches and was mostly belly up on the floor. There was a little kid in the room at this time, she did not pay much attention to him. Even when he was running a round the room grabbing the dog toys, the dog was calm and did not try to run after him. Temp tested with another female Cane Corso. Both did great, friendly, wiggly, no stress or tension visible. No aggression seen from either.
