Story
Spencer is a pure bred Cane Corso with a lab like personality. He lost his home due to kniw fault of his own after his owner was displaced. Spencer has been very socialized and loves other dogs and used to frequent doggy daycare before he was displaced. The owner of the doggy daycare has also been trying to help him find a forever home and is happy to provide a reference for Spencer. Spencer has had professional training, including several rattlesnake diversion classes. Spencer would do best in an active home. He attaches super quickly and bonds very easily with new people. He doesn’t have the stranger danger that we typically see with Corso’s and would make a great addition to almost any family that has the time to give him. Spencer is currently in the San Diego area and we minimally need a foster that is local to San Diego. Out of State adopters are considered, however, all adopters are required to meet and pick up the dog in person as we do not put our dogs on transport. If Spencer sounds like a dog that would be a good fit for your family, we’d love to hear from you. He is currently in boarding and longing to be in a family environment or with a person that can dote on him.

Story
Luna is the rescues longest resident. As a young puppy Luna was sent to a board n train where harsh methods were used and her trust in humans was completely destroyed. She was flown down to us from a shelter in San Jose in the hopes we could work with her and get her to the point of being able to safely be adopted out. Luna has definitely been a labor of love but she is ready for a home of her own now. She has perfect house manners and is completely house broken. She walks beautifully on a leash and participates in our pack walks where she solicits love and attention from everyone. On the homefront she can be protective but she is a corso, and this is to be expected. She’s been fostered with both dogs and cats and with proper introductions would easily be able to live with other pets. She’s never had an altercation with any animal. She really needs a home with someone who understands the breed and loves cuddling with their pup as she’s a huge cuddler.

Story
Spencer is a good boy! He will be 3 years old April 17 , 2024 .Very food motivated. Crate trained. He was the runt in his liter so he's on the smaller side. He loves dog beach. He is very small prey driven. Cats would be something he couldn't be around. He's never actually attacked one but I feel given the opportunity he would. That's why I need to rehome. My living situation has severely changed I had to move back into my parents house and he spends alot of time in his crate . He needs training and time I'm unable to give him at the moment.. He's been around kids. He's just not real familiar with kids. Other dogs he likes. He plays hard and rough, he's very sweet sleeps with me every night.. maybe someone with only one dog.. He's curious but shy .. normally doesn't care for people with hats on. His stranger danger voice comes out..

Story
Duke is looking for a new home. Our family is relocating out of state and unable to bring Duke along. Duke is a 13 month old intact male. He is 75% Cane Corso 25% Pit Bull. Duke will need someone that is a firm leader preferably experienced with large guard dog breeds. He is truly a sweetheart and big baby that doesn’t realize his size. Because of this, I don’t recommend him around small children unless supervised. Duke would really benefit from formal training to help teach basic obedience. He has interactions with a smaller pug and plays well but can be rough at times. No aggression ever displayed towards our kids or other dog. Duke comes with his crate, bowls, leash and collars. He has standard collars and a electronic training collar.

These pups are in San Diego, California too!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Very friendly and outgoing male lab/terrier mix pup!Meet Roscoe! This handsome boy is friendly, outgoiing, sweet and playful. Roscoe was rescued along with his littermates after being found in the desert with their mama in La Paz, BCS, Mexico. He is confident and friendly, always one of the first of her littermates to readily approach humans for attention. Roscoe loves to play with his siblings and with humans. He was rescued when he was just a few weeks old, and grew up in a foster home with good vet care, food, and lots of love and attention. Roscoe's mama is a small/medium sized beagle/terrier mix around 30 lbs, and we think there is some Shar Pei in this litter from the dad's side. He is sterilized, vaccinated and ready to find his forever family!  Visit this link to submit an application https://woofsandwagsdogrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=3225Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 18, 2024, 2:42 pm

Story
Leo is a gorgeous neapolitan mastiff.  His ideal home would be a home with someone who knows the breed and can set boundaries for him to thrive. He has the potential to do well with other dogs as long as the other dogs have good temperament. He was fostered with kids who were 12 years of age and he did good with them. Come meet sweet Leo if you are looking for a gorgeous large boy. Leo's adoption fee includes training. April 16, 2024, 12:05 am
