Caruso joined Frosted Faces Foundation in January 2025 after being found tied to the entrance of the Lancaster Shelter. Following his required stray hold, he was placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, we were able to welcome him as a Frosted Face. Once safe with us, Caruso quickly showed his true colors. He is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves to cuddle and soak up attention. He walks beautifully on leash, sits politely for treats (without even being asked!), and takes them with the softest touch. Caruso also enjoys car rides and outings, making him a wonderful companion both at home and on the go. With so many wonderful qualities, it’s no surprise that Caruso was soon adopted. He and his new dad were a great match - truly two peas in a pod. Sadly, after 10 happy months together, his dad’s declining health made it impossible for him to continue caring for Caruso, and Caruso was returned to us through no fault of his own. While Caruso misses his dad and the comfort of a home, he's ready to open his heart again and is hoping this next chapter will be his forever. Apollo is a beautiful purebred Cane Corso. He will need a strong owner who has experience with mastiffs, pit bulls or bulldogs. Apollo would do best in an active home with good fencing. He loves to run and play but dog parks are a no no. Typical of this breed, he does not do well with other male dogs. Apollo likes to play hard so supervision with female dogs is needed at the start. He is also loving and sweet and would love to curl up on the couch with you! Very good on a leash as well.

Staff have fallen in love with this big, goofy guy - he is a sucker for attention and wants to be with his humans. Calcifer did come into our care with fearful behaviors, and he will do best in a quiet low/traffic home. He likely struggle with new spaces and people, so slow introductions to new things are going to set him up for success! Calcifer also loves to be the star of the show and soak up all the love and attention, so he is requesting to be the only pet in his new home. Any children in his new home must be older than 14 years old as well, due to his initial fearful behavior. Rene was wandering around the block for several weeks, until he was given the opportunity to enter the home of one of the rescuers. He has been a very protective, loving dog, and from the first moment he was always grateful. He has gained weight and is ready for his new home. He loves to get close to the fence to be petted by neighbors. He is good with cats, although because of his size we do not leave him unsupervised when he is with them, and he lives with most females. He doesn't like to have another male around, he is the alpha and everyone knows it, but with people, he is the biggest baby of them all.
